Politics / Re: It Makes No Sense For NNPC To Sell Dangote Petrol Higher Than Imported One-IPMAN by professorPABX: 6:35pm On Sep 16 |
Anither563: It makes no sense to fools. Yes, it makes no sense to fools. IPMAN National Welfare Officer, John Kekeocha was speaking for himself and not IPMAN. He was speaking for his brothers the new DANGOTE Refinery Public Relations head is one of them. They are propaganda expert. Everybody knows imported petrol is sold at Subsized price. Since 2016, the hope was that DANGOTE Refinery wiould end subsidy. Nobody expected subsidy to continue under Dangote Refinery. Nobody expected subsidy to be moved from imported PMS to locally refined pms. In all their weekly Association meeting, Autonomous Communities / Village meetings and Villages /Town meetings they said Dangote be wan sell petrol for 300 naira but na Tinubu no gree. Tinubu na wicked yeye man. They mainly listen to WAZOBIA radio station. Propaganda. So, they expected NNPC to buy petrol at almost 900 naira or 800 naira from Dangote and sell to Nigerians at 300 naira so they can continue smuggling to other countries at Loans to be paid by Nigeria. Fools. |

kole22k: You are all part of DANGOTE Refinery propaganda. What stopped Dangote from telling the whole world the PMS price the way he did for Diesel? He addressed press conference to announce Diesel price even before marketers started loading. He did that because there is no subsidy on Diesel. When you asked somebody "What is your name and he started telling you my mother and my father met each other in the University, they were in courtship for 5 years etc, just know there is an issue". |

ALTERNATEID: DANGOTE can never tell the truth because of the man he recently hired to lead the Public Relations battle of DANGOTE Refinery. The Indian VP of the group would have told Nigerians the truth but the PR Man (Nigerian) is doing a propaganda job his people are well known for. When DANGOTE Refinery started Diesel we were told the price even before marketers started loading. There was press conference on Diesel price by Dangote. He did that because Diesel is not covered by SUBSIDY. It pained me that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah died when he was needed most. He was the Chairman of Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream Sector. He would have blown opened everything. Dangote avoided Senate because of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and penetrated House of Reps. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is the Owner of Capital Oil. They know DANGOTE is after SUBSIDY. NNPC decided to frustrate DANGOTE from collecting SUBSIDY indirectly. It is a Battle of SUBSIDY and a Battle for Subsidy. I as a person, I prefer Nigerians buy the PMS at high price without Subsidy to NNPC buying PMS at high price from Dangote and selling to Marketers at Subsized price. Already, the new PR Man and those frustrated people are setting people against Tinubu because of hatred and because they lost election. In all their weekly Association meeting, Autonomous Communities / Village meetings and Villages /Town meetings they said Dangote be wan sell petrol for 300 naira but Tinubu no gree. Tinubu na wicked yeye man. They mainly listen to WAZOBIA radio station. Propaganda. Because of this propaganda of Dangote be wan sell petrol for 300 naira but Tinubu no gree, Dangote Refinery can never tell the true price as he did for Diesel. NNPC has told us the price. |

StJasper: Dangote never wanted to sell his PMS cheap. He wanted to make money from Nigeria. He wanted the Subsidy to continue why the subsidy is indirectly channeled to him. That is why he wanted NNPC to be the sole offtaker. He played on Nigerians emotions because of hatred of frustrated people against Tinubu because they lost election. Dangote brought one of them to lead the Public Relations battle. 1 Like |

joseph1832: 98% of Social Media Fools are not enlightened but frustrated fools. If CNG can substitute about 1 million litres of Desiel and PMS weekly presently, then it is a great success. It conserves Crude oil for other purposes . It reduces pressure on foreign exchange reserves. It preserves the environment. Why is Dangote Cement new trucks now using CNG instead of Diesel? NIPCO built a CNG station at IBAFO in Ogun State opposite Mountain Of Fire Prayer City since 2014. Since July this year till Tuesday this week about 100 DANGOTE CNG TRUCKS have been filled. People are asking me why Dangote Cement is converting to CNG when they have Refinery. I told them I am going to write the reason on nairaland when time comes. Apart from Dangote, a lot of companies with fleet of trucks are converting to CNG and the fleet of CNG trucks are loading from this CNG station opposite Prayer City beside Rain Oil at IBAFO. What Tinubu government has done it is only right thinking Nigerians that can appreciate it. The change is very painful but also gainful at the end. In 2014 up till 2015 when that CNG station was built, I had thought it was a wasted huge investment. Up till 2022, people still don't understand the importance of the Gas Station. Now, everybody knows the reason why the Gas Station was built when they saw Dangote Trucks on queue for CNG . 3 Likes 1 Share |

If Government increased Price from 580 to 920 or 850 is that not a good reason for Dangote to take advantage and announce his cheaper price? He wants to collect subsidy. vanbonattel: It can never happen. China was a developing nation few decades ago and not too long. Malaysia and Singapore were also not strong nations economically few decades ago. China passed through Fire before it becomes a great nation. Religion and Social information regulations and censorship which violation carried death sentence in China during that period never allowed people to know what happened. We only saw the results but not the sacrifice. In the WILDERNESS, while the Red Sea was at the front and Pharaoh Chariots were at the back, the Israelites in the middle cried to Moses asking him is it because there are no graves in Egypt that he brought them to die in the Wilderness? They said they preferred Slavery in Egypt to the imaginary freedom. Those who complained never entered the promised land. Tinubu is a man of Courage. With a budget of 96% committed to servicing debt on assumption of power, it takes ingenuity and Grace of God to get to where we are today. Once Nigerians accept total deregulation of the petroleum sector as our fate, things will start to happen. |
Politics / Re: IPMAN: Petrol Price Will Determine If We Buy From NNPC Or Dangote Refinery by professorPABX: 9:17am On Sep 11 |
TheAlchemist: You got the key point but missed a vital point. You see, when I had an account on nairaland (babaolofin) I was the most fanatical fan of Dangote group. I fought with people because of Dangote group. I fought very hard during Obasanjo, Jonathan and Buhari. The battle during Jonathan was very tough, that was the IBETO imported and repackaged cement in Portharcourt which Jonathan allowed. We fought the Sugar battle and the Okpella limestone deposit case with BUA. We have fought for Dangote Refinery for many years when people said it is a scam. We thank God today, those who called it a scam for many years are the people defend it now because of Tinubu. On this Dangote Refinery , nobody supported Dangote Refinery more than Mele Kyari the NNPC GMD. The next chief supporter is Emefiele. If Emefiele were allowed to air his view, he would have more to say . Few months ago, on nairaland I said I became confused because I don't know what is happening again. What we thought at the beginning of the Refinery is different from what is playing itself out . The key point you got is that Dangote wanted the Subsidy but in another form. Kyari will never allow that. If Emefiele were to be the CBN Governor, he will never allow it. They both laboured and contributed to assist the Refinery. As I said few days ago before NNPC statement, Independent marketers should be allowed to buy directly from Dangote. Dangote should tell us his price. The Vital point you missed is that Dangote doesn't have plan B of where to sell his PMS if NNPC failed to buy from him. From onset, Dangote Refinery made us to know the Refinery is designed to serve the entire West and Central Africa and beyond. They can also buy crude oil from anywhere. The secret is that Government money is easy and sweet and require less stress. The target on billions of dollars expenditure by the government on fuel importation is the reason why he went into the Refinery and not that he wants to sell to other countries. He wants to recoup his investment before other local Refineries come online . Selling to other countries and Independent marketers exposed him to competition. He can lose out in the competition because he is dealing with big players and oil mafia. He wants NNPC to buy from him at his price and sells to marketers at subsidized price as it is done for imported fuel . I don't subscribe to that. Let Dangote Refinery and other importers sell directly to Nigerians. The best option should be taken by Nigerians. 1 Like |

Bitterness, vendetta and depression have totally beclouded their sense of reasoning. I sympathize with the VP, the Governor and the entire people of Bornu on this natural disaster. I have many questions to ask but I will reserve my comments. My observation is that in 1994 when Alau Dam collapsed for the first time Abacha was in power. Though Abacha lived his life in Kano just like his kinsman Bashir Tofa, ABACHA is a Kanuri man, therefore, Maiduguri is his ancestral home. Today, Shettima is the number two man in power and a former governor of Bornu State. 30 years after 1994, Alau Dam collapsed again. Politics / Re: PMS: NNPCL Should Revert To Old Price, Allow Dangote To Operate – Ishaq Akintola by professorPABX: 1:17pm On Sep 07 |
Salewa97: Prof Ishaq is a Professor of Islamic Studies defending Muslim. He knows nothing or little about economy and about what is happening. Dangote Refinery should tell us how much it is selling PMS per litre to Nigerians. As an educated person I expect Prof Ishaq to use his connections to know what is happening. Dangote Refinery told Nigerians the price of its Diesel per litre. He should do the same for PMS. For example if Dangote Refinery is selling PMS to Nigerians at 850 or 900 or 1000 Naira per litre or 800 Naira per litre, Nigerians should know. If Nigerians cannot afford it, then the National Assembly, State Governors, Labour Unions and CSO will decide how much subsidy the Federal Government want to spend by buying PMS from Dangote Refinery. They should also debate on where to get the money to pay subsidy while servicing debts and meeting other critical infrastructural needs. It is not good to blackmail the government without understanding the foundation of the problem. NNPC didn't stop Dangote from selling to Marketers but at what Price? |
Politics / Re: FEC Will Determine Price Of Our Petrol, Says Dangote by professorPABX: 5:31pm On Sep 04 |

It was on record that Chief Edwin Clark replied Obasanjo thrice through print media where he (Chief Edwin Clark) elaborately itemized all the appointments and omitted key sectors, despite that, the lopsided appointment was clearly visible. Under Jonathan, Chief Edwin Clark fought battle with Obasanjo turning Newspapers to battleground. As a Statesman, Obasanjo doesn't make comments on nepotism it was only under Jonathan he made references to it in one of his open letters. That was the period they looted the high revenue from oil and looting the money he saved in Foreign reserve when he was leaving. Apart from Adesina (Min of Agric), Oke (DG NIA) , mention one key appointment in a strategic sector. Demuren was removed from NCAA, Onagoruwa was removed from BPE. Is it Minister of State that is first class appointment? Under Obj, Ojo Madueke, Kema Chikwe, Okonjo Iweala, etc are there. In the Presidency, Andy Uba was there . These are powerful people. Under Jonathan, all key sectors were dominated by your people. Sanusi that Yaradua brought have a tough time until he was removed. Which analysis do you need? You are very uncivilized. Very self-centered tribe. You have the SGF and the Chief of Army Staff, Ita Ekpenyong was DG SSS. You have Finance, Petroleum and all sensitive key MDAs. PDP National Chairmanship was zoned to South West, under Jonathan Presidency, South West was maneuvered and frustrated out. They said South West doesn't matter. I posted it in 2022 on nairaland when I was given babaolofin account to use when somebody told me at a Christian Camp that if Tinubu becomes President they will invite the Military to take over. By then, Tinubu had not indicated interest to contest. I posted it on nairaland. He is a Delta IBO. I asked him who will invite the Military? The man ran away since last year from coming to the camp. There are many internal forces. External forces work based on information provided to them. This time around, the information is propaganda. Just like during Awolowo era when they used Akintola, also, during Obasanjo they used SB Awoniyi but Obasanjo had military clique apart from political group. This time around, they are using Yoruba human rights lawyers and CSOs. During Jonathan, I don't want to mention names, all their Human rights lawyers supported Jonathan. The main target of their protest is Tinubu. Abuja has never witnessed serious protests. The major protest is always in Lagos. Yoruba will never support any serious protests in South West. They are trying to blackmail the Yorubas and are camouflaging as Yorubas to protest. It has been resisted. What they want to do now is provocation and anything can happen from there. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: We Don’t Want To Lose Our Identity, Dignity – Northern Yoruba Obas Tells Ooni by professorPABX: 4:28pm On Aug 11 |
YesDaddyTill203: There are problems on ground. Obasanjo met $5.5 billion in reserve in May 1999 with huge debts. He left estimated $60 billion in reserve and other investments. He paid debts otherwise the total money would have been around $72 billions or $75 billions. Yaradua Jonathan government came, sold oil up to $130 per barrel and output of around 2 million barrel per day. Jonathan government did not save ONE KOBO and borrowed heavily. They spent the money Obasanjo saved. No major project in South West apart from road coming from South South which passed Ore and stopped long way before Ijebu Ode. This time, Ijebu Ode (J3) to Lagos road was nightmare, very chaotic. You spent Shorter time from Portharcourt or Onitsha to Ore than Ijebu Ode (J3) to Lagos, in fact you can sleep on the road. Nobody asked the government why the Project did not start from Lagos or from Sagamu. Now, they are questioning the rationale behind Lagos Calabar highway starting from Lagos. They looted estimated $100 billion and empowered their kinsmen businesses worldwide. They acquired properties in Lagos and Abuja. What saddened my heart is that South South people never benefitted from that government apart from few people. They handed over $25 billion to Buhari, the key economic team members travelled out of Nigeria before Jonathan handed over government. Jonathan in a national network presidential broadcast before handing over said nobody should probe him except they start from Tafawa Balewa (1960). They assumed Jonathan government looted and favoured IBOs, Buhari came and favoured Fulani / North, so Tinubu is coming to favor the Yorubas and they are apprehensive. They are fighting the Yorubas spiritually and with blackmail and propaganda. They hijacked social media to carry out their agenda and suspend, ban and frustrate Yorubas. Some Default Apps on some of their franchise phones are mainly for propaganda. Yet Yorubas don't know. If great crisis should happen in South West, those Yoruba Lawyers claiming human rights lawyers would be the first victims. |

Only about 2% of Yorubas that have travelled wide and carried out deep intelligence observations and analysis know this. During Jonathan era when they executed no major or minor project in Yoruba land and they looted estimated $100 billion, all their human rights lawyers were defending them without any exception. Now, our Lawyers, CSOs and few elites are supporting them. If there is a major crisis in South West they will be the first casualty. I saw them at Ibadan using Yoruba names to register for NIN. I have seen at Abuja with Nigerian International Passports with Yoruba names. They are doing this to penetrate and infiltrate Yorubas and blindfold very weak Yorubas. They will fail at the end. Nodogragra4me: Sir, you mixed things up. Also there are falsehood in some of your explanation. I am still mourning the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah otherwise, I would have been able to show you a lot of statistics on those defending Dangote. I am always at Nnewi if I am not in Lagos or Ibadan. I shuttle Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka, occasionally, Enugu or Owerri and Portharcourt. Firstly, I didn't know Chief IBETO had stroke, it might be due to old age after a very long years of hardworking without rest. The issue of Obasanjo regime, Nkalagu Cement factory, Floating barge at Portharcourt was different from how you put it. Lafarge is the largest cement brand in Europe. It is easier for them to import their products to Nigeria using a Jetty and repackage as IBETO was doing. Dangote, Flour Mills of Nigeria, Yinka Folawiyo and few others have shed at the ports that they used for importation of cement. When Obasanjo stopped importation, it affected all of them. Flour Mills of Nigeria (Burham Cement), Yinka Folawiyo (Horse Cement) have more capacity than IBETO. IBETO acquired Nkalagu and pleaded for government to allow him continue with his importation while he is working to start production locally at Nkalagu. Obasanjo government banned importation. Flour Mills and others invested hundreds million of dollars in Calabar for local Cement factory production, Lafarge invested billions to build another Cement factory - Lakatabu II. Dangote invested at Obajana, Gboko, BUA also invested heavily. JONATHAN came surrounded by the IBOS , because of IBO business men, allowed importaion. Mind you, it was not Yaradua that allowed importation, It was JONATHAN. IBETO imported and repackaged and made money from Portharcourt. Trailers of Cement daily moved out of Eagle Jetty. Everybody knows including Jonathan, Peter OBI the Economic Adviser to Jonathan (Anambra State Governor), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Anyim Pius Anyim that immediately Jonathan is out of power, automatically, IBETO Cement operations at Eagle jetty Portharcourt comes to an end. I am not even sure Buhari ordered the Cement importation to stop. IBETO stopped it immediately Buhari was sworn in. Federal Government has never at any time stopped IBETO from taking over Nkalagu. On Social Media, they gave several excuses. They said FG send EFCC to embarrass IBETO because of Nkalagu and several others but the most common accusation was Dangote. Now, the same people are defending Dangote. They have forgotten that now Portharcourt or any Federal Government Refinery cannot work. If PH Refinery work for 3 months before being sabotaged then, Nigerians should be grateful to Dangote Refinery and importers. NNPC cannot be struggling to find Crude oil for Dangote and at the same time looking for Crude oil for Portharcourt Refinery. So, one will give way for another and it is government Refineries that will give way. 1 Like |

Winnin009: Benin Republic would have been better and Ghana would have been the best. I asked a question over two decades ago when I was very small and still asking the question which nobody has answered me. The question is how part of Tincan Island Port Jetty that extended to Nigerdock gate was partitioned and given to Dantata. They called the place Dantata Jetty from time immemorial. As at that time (military era), no private individual enjoy that benefit and that place was very busy full of different activities. Coming back to your Benin Republic suggestion, in Ghana, Sentuo Group is building two Refineries at the cost of $1.98 billion. In Ghana that is a very huge cost. Some Ghanaians are still complaining. I told them in Nigeria, the two Refineries would cost about $15 billion. The government will give waivers, incentives and direct financial support up to $3 billion dollars. At the end, it is the government support that will build the refinery. All the loans from the consortium of banks and government waivers and incentives is to complete and start other projects in other countries and in Nigeria. Those Ghanaians said Nigeria is big and rich. Oby Ezekwesili called for the Audit of Dangote Refinery and NNPC / Federal Government commitment in the Refinery project. It is already too late. In Ghana, they said the promoter of Sentuo Group is a friend of Akufo Addo their president, they should come to Nigeria and see things for themselves. |
