they actually did

In a state? So they murder people in only Plateau State? Where is safe in the North?

The south east is over due for state of emergency, this is too much,

So kidnapping is now worse than murder? They should first declare state of emergency in the North because human life is more important than mere abduction.
Culture / Re: Does Anyone Know How/why So Many People From Rivers State Have English Surnames by 006(m): 2:53am On Jul 18, 2010
honeric01:

Why would a whole region change their surnames to their superior slave dealers if not for inferiority complex? were the binis not also trading with the Europeans? why didn't they change their names to that of their counterparts?

I feel it's mainly due to colonial mentality and due to the fact that they believed everything about them was inferior even to their names and clothes, even to their soul.

Gbam!
. . . and that's the reason they are extremely jealous.

ChinenyeN:

Anyway, Ngwa people will continue writing Ngwa as they've been doing; as spoken. Your ranting changes nothing, really.

It's lack of exposure. If they actually studied Igbo in school, they can always write their Ngwa properly without losing anything. It makes no sense that my town will go and formulate letters and alphabets whereas we can write our dialect properly and completely with the letters available in general Igbo.

Where is Abagworo to tell me if my translation was wrong.

Okay. I don't understand; don't even know why I'm having this conversation with someone who is unfamiliar with Ngwa lect.

Maybe you can help me complete this.
A person who does not know, and does not know that he does not know is nothing but a . . . . . . . . .

ChinenyeN:

Oh.Kay, 006. As I stated before, you don't speak Ngwa, so I really don't expect you to know or understand.

It's you that don't understand, go and study Igbo including the theories. After that, you can help your Ngwa folks to rewrite that crap they formulated. You can always write Ngwa with all the letters available in Igbo language.

udezue:

"Gh" is highly incorrect. "Gh" is just one of the alphabets in Igbo and it means nothing until u add "u" to it then "ghu" means "you". Why anyone arguing over this is what I don't get. Oka ppl also say "ghu"

Don't mind him.
Crime / Re: Politics Of Kidnapping In Abia- It Is An Ngwa Cake by 006(m): 1:34am On Jul 18, 2010
ChinenyeN:

When Ngwa is spoken, that vowel that you're typing for "you" is dropped if a consonant follows behind. That is why the person who wrote that sentence, wrote gh'. The apostrophe ['] serves as an indicator that a letter does indeed exist there, but not in that instance. The person wrote it, as spoken, correctly.

Funny. Are you talking to someone that doesn't know about consonants and vowels? You cannot combine 2 consonants. If "u" is dropped when another consonant follows, then the consonant, gh, can never be pronounced. Consonants don't have sounds on their own, they are only used to pronounce vowels.

For your information, we speak ghu as well in my town. In general Igbo, gi is often used, so it's not special to Ngwa.
Crime / Re: Politics Of Kidnapping In Abia- It Is An Ngwa Cake by 006(m): 1:24am On Jul 18, 2010
' is not a sound in any language. If you studied Igbo in school, then you can write Ngwa properly not that crap. I got A1 in Igbo if you care to know.
Tell me if ghu is not you in Ngwa? It can never be gh or ghi or gho. So gh' is crap!
Crime / Re: Politics Of Kidnapping In Abia- It Is An Ngwa Cake by 006(m): 1:13am On Jul 18, 2010
ChinenyeN:

gh' is "you".

. . .  then is should be ghu not gh'. Gh' is nothing my friend.

Abagworo:

i can understand and translate ngwa or any other igbo dialect.ngwa is quite easy for me just like ikwerre, etche, mbaise, ndoki, asa and owerri.

''nhe ndi ifushi gh' l'onu ntogbara uto ahu''.

'the words coming out of your mouth is too interesting'

See what I mean, gh' without a vowel after it. Is it arabic? The translation you gave is not even correct.

It should be "The things you say from/with (since I don't know what gh' is) your mouth is very sweet".
