Yea yea, me like this. When I came into awka the first(2010) it was such a boring place to be. The slangs then was "Awka don cast". As I left after some months bt as God may have it, I got transfered here again this January. Just got an apart and still trying to make friends. I work at the secretariate off Aroma. Guys lets make this place great and no kids pls. I was at Golphin last week but I prefer chilling at Adagbe joint around fr. Arazu junction. Whatsapp me only on 09094500210. For now no call abeg.

To qualify for that,

(a) you need to be in your NYSC year posted in Awka

(b) you just got a transfer from other parts of the country to Awka

(c) you must be earning a living legally

(d) ladies below 25 years shouldn't bother being a part of what this thread intends to achieve

(e) ladies above 25 but still schooling aren't invited.

(f) all students in Awka that are on a first degree programme are not invited, but PGD, Master etc are free to join.

(g) Guys below 30 should pls not indicate interest, this is not intended to be a pick up thread.

Sorry about the rules as i know it seems much, but this tread doesn't seek out to be a popular thread but a thread that would unite matured and like minds of both sexes to share culture shifts and shocks, make friends out of the office, develop some new whatsapp, facebook, twitter, BBMfriends, share ideas and goals, hang out together, generall chill out here.

This town being laid back has got its disadvantages.

But let me start with the other sides...

1. There is a very high concentration of Hotels in this town
2. This no 1 fact makes a good nos of relaxation spots available through out the city.
3. Which translates that there shouldn't be dull moments most especially evenings and weekends....no?

WRONG.

The matured minds and corporate class really do not mingle due to their inability to meet.

Not all most date guys or girls from the office.
Not all must talk or chat with same people all day.

Even corpers I had talked with would really want to meet well meaning guys and girls apart from the eke Awka traders and students.

Hence my decision in opening this thread.

I recently moved to Awka in Anambra state. Nice, quiet laid back town with a lot of properties spring up here and there to accommodate the new corporate work force being posted into the city.

All of the federal parastatals are here, with most of the corporate blue chip companies. Awka is burgeoning to be a city befitting a capital and the inroads Peter Obi did on that, with the continuation from Willie Obiano would definitely move this town from a sleepy town to something better.
