But the problem is, what is the alternative forgone, in other to take care of "his people"? Who are these his people? It beats my imagination that Wike has more media media milage than all the governors and ministers combined including the VP.
Save for occasional tantrums from Bwala, Omokri and Onanuga, Tinubu wouldn't have had any serious talk around him in the media.

INEC should have a central dashboard accessible by the public that shows realtime voting.
This dashboard shows distribution of registered voters across the nation. You can see clearly how many voters in each state, local govt, ward and polling unit.

Live voting data come from only accredited votes. This means, at each polling unit, accredited voters cast their vote, the party agents affirm that the votes are correct.
The INEC staff present will key in the vote of each party to the platform. After which each party will enter a password generated from INEC platform to confirm they've assented to the figure keyed into the platform. And then the INEC officer will enter the last password which publishes the data live on the result viewing dashboard. As he publishes it, everyone can see it live as the number reflects immediately.
So, without the party agents entering their password, the INEC officer cannot successfully upload the results. Cos the system would require every party agent to key in their password. So even if the INEC officer refuses to upload the result there, he can't do it anywhere else. The party agents must enter their own authorization which confirms that the result keyed into the system is correct and approved by them.

With the system designed like this, it'll be hard for INEC to come up with any random figure for anyone and declare the person. Because even before the election is over, everyone already knows who's the winner. And people can see how each polling unit, ward, local govt and state voted for each candidate.
