This isn’t about “my truth” or “his truth.” When innocent people are being killed, displaced, or silenced, that’s not a matter of perspective; it’s a matter of truth and justice. We are called to stand with the oppressed and speak against evil, regardless of tribe, party, or personal bias.

Silence or denial in the face of suffering isn’t neutrality; it’s complicity. A minister of the gospel has a sacred duty to be a voice of truth, not an echo of political narratives.

If any leader, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, or otherwise, chooses comfort over compassion, then they too must be held accountable. This conversation is not about ethnicity or politics. It’s about truth before God.

The Lord commended the church in Ephesus for testing every voice that claimed divine authority. They did not mistake eloquence for anointing or popularity for proof of calling. They measured every supposed apostle by the truth of Christ’s gospel, by integrity, compassion, and courage in the face of evil.

So must the church today. A true apostle is not one who flatters power but one who confronts it in the light of God’s justice. When a preacher stands before the people and denies the suffering of innocents, excusing or minimizing bloodshed, that voice no longer echoes heaven’s truth. Whenever religious figures allow political payments, privilege, or fear to silence their conscience, they betray the trust of the pulpit.

The mark of authentic apostleship is not comfort but conviction. It is a willingness to speak the truth about oppression, persecution, and violence even when it offends those in high places. To stand with the oppressed is to stand with Christ, but to deny their pain for personal or political gain is to stand against Him.

The litmus test remains simple and flawless.
Does the messenger uphold truth, righteousness, and compassion, or do they protect lies, privilege, and power?

For Femi Lazarus to stand on the pulpit and deny that there is genocide in Nigeria amounts to denying the pain Jesus went through on the cross.

Femi, you have betrayed Christ and it's not too late for you to return the silver they gave you and ask the Lord for forgiveness.

Moreover, for one to even carry the title of an apostle by biblical standard, such a person must have proven record healing the sick. I have never seen or come across such videos from this APC apointed apostle called Femi Lazarus.

Even imagine. He said he was compelled to speak out (possibly by his PR people), meaning that otherwise he wouldn't have. I'm beginning to think it's time we boycotted these business centers called churches.

After many of them, such as Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Paul Enenche, and Apostle Johnson Suleman, to mention only a few, openly warned Nigerians not to vote for incompetence, the people still went ahead and ignored those warnings. Now that the consequences of those choices are becoming evident, and the nation is facing an ongoing genocide, some are expecting these same men of God to speak out again. Isn’t that ironic? No be juju be that?
