Maybe you need to go and listen to Adeshina's speach before leaving office,one of the things he harped on,was that Africa pays the highest implicit tax rate in the world(85%) and need not to tax their people further ,rather improve Government efficiency.

Something you should realize about Adeshina and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is that they are proper economists, not politicans. And proper economists take hard decisions most people don't like. I believe that the insertion of that 20% deposit on disputed assessment was done on purpose. FIRS have been looking for ways to make their decisions final and conclusive in any assessment without the opportunity of the tax payer making recourse to the court for adjudication. How can you tell me or my company to deposit 20% of assessment you did on my income, first, before I begin to challenge it?
