It will interest you to know that your knowledge of literature helped you in your discipline of study,as the desire to read you cultivated, was transferred to your course of study and your vocabulary was equally enriched, personally I can read any book in a matter of days and still understand it, cos of the advantage literature gave me. I studied Economics and today ,I am a chartered accountant cos of the appetite developed from reading.

I stopped at Wole Soyinka's the Interpreters.

Very educative.

Since I didn't see the series again, that was the end.
I studied Computer Science but the knowledge of Literature is still there.

These ones these days have adulterated Literature

If you ever read the 'African Writers Series' edited by Chinua Achebe,you will appreciate the contributions of these literary giants to our educational development.

When the series was discontinued,I said that the nail on the coffin of African literature has started,years later ,it all but dead.
