A Fast Moving Consumer manufacturer is seeking fresh graduates (Males Only) who are interested in participating in a 6 months Bread/Snacks making course. Candidates must be ND/Degree holders who are interested in developing a skill in the rather large Food and beverages sector. The objective of the programme is to transfer sound food processing skills to the selected interns.

At the end of Six months the candidates will be able to understand the dynamics of the food industry as it relates to ingredient technology, baking/frying/grilling, Costing, Sales and marketing.

We would prefer graduates from food Science and Technology, Industrial chemistry, Microbiology or any other related discipline. Graduates from other non-Science disciplines who can convince the examining panel that they are very passionate about developing a career in this industry may also be considered.

Imagine the kind of following PDP will generate from the likes of Saraki, Atiku, Kwakwanso, Tambuwal, Sule Lamido going round the country in a marathon debate on Nigeria geo-political issues. That will take the Presidential run to levels that Buhari will not be able to keep up with.

If you visit any advert portal, you will notice that over 70 percent of adverts reflect the demand for Sales and marketing related staff.

This goes a long way to prove that in any company within every economy, effective Sales personnel would always be in high demand. This is further strengthened by the fact that a great number of graduates abhor the sales profession primarily because of their lack of understanding for the career and what it entails. So the conclusions are first of all predicated on a deep seated ignorance.

The purpose of this thread is to help a few Nairalanders understand how a they could develop a sales career while waiting for the job of their dreams. Yes, indeed Sales could be a stepping stone to a great life even in another career path. It is my thinking that I will be able to guide interested and serious newbies here as they commence an effort that is geared towards understanding what Sales is and what it is most definitely not.

Why doesn't he look in the direction of a Sales career?

He already has all the required training as an Educational Test and Measurement professional.
While working is sales, if he doesn't draw fulfillment therefrom he can target getting a job in the Test Development Division of any of the Independent exam bodies or even the Ministries of Education/agencies at both Federal and State levels.
