Jobs/Vacancies / JOB OPENINGS IN THE FMCG INDUSTRY! by Proselling: 3:22pm On Nov 13, 2023
This thread is dedicated to candidates who seek employment as a Sales Professionals especially in Fast Moving Consumer Goods segment of the economy.

From time to time I will regularly populate the thread with genuine openings available that I am sure of.

Other posters who also know of job openings may also post them here.

There is a caveat; however, please be very careful with all job openings posted here.
I can only be held responsible for the jobs I have listed here. Do the necessary due diligence before embarking on a physical interview.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How I Chose The Wrong Job by Proselling: 7:15pm On Feb 21, 2021
I sympathize with the OP but that is as far as it goes.

It would be nice to hear the employers' side of the story.

Companies do not just let go of very 'good and productive staff '.

Even for the most reckless companies, your numbers will always com in to play in time of greatest need.

But then again, it appears you are really good in what you do since you got three offers at once, you can recreate that scene all over again.

No details of the work, no intro of any kind and you're asking people to just send info just like that

Your observation is very correct.

I deliberately didn't include details of the work.
I also do not expect everyone to send in their details.

I can however assure you that applicants who really need 2,000 daily will connect with this request.

And they are quite a significant number amongst us.

Investment / Re: What Kind Of Goods Can I Import With #50, 000 And Sale Them Within A Week? by Proselling: 3:00am On Apr 20, 2020
meekparagon:
What kind of goods can I import with #50, 000 and sale them within a week?
I really need your advise about this mini importation and goods that can be sale within a week.
My last card is 50k

Why wait till you can import?

Why not start a Micro-Distribution Trade?

Identify a locally made Fast Moving Consumer Product that is not yet available in your neighbourhood.

Conduct a trial run.

If the survey results are favourable, invest and build momentum.

If you are circumspect, you can even find a product that you can turn around everyday and your money will yield profit every 24 hours.

Finally, if you a food product, you can cash in on the Covid 19 Lock-Down and start your business immediately.

You will be surprised that some people are making piles of money during this supposedly slow period.

Just because they are in the right business.
Investment / Re: Suggestions Needed On Where To Invest N11million For 17months by Proselling: 2:49am On Apr 20, 2020
Nitric:

I will give you a kind response, whether you will consider it favourable is not within my control cheesy

Their interest on an annual rate is about 12% but it is prorated and paid to you every 3 months

I know a few fast moving consumer goods companies that could match this investment. The beautiful thing is that they would pay you profits on a quarterly basis and your capital is returned every cycle which is 12 calendar months.

Normally they could be persuaded to pay double this (with smaller figures) but the problem is that with the Post Covid 19 recession coming up, profit margins will recede and there will be more investment capital from non institutional investors.

A larger percentage of the monies being appropriated as grants for different Covid 19 projects be it palliatives, equipment purchase PPE and even construction is flowing back into the economy seeking investment openings.
Business / Re: Business To Do With 600k by Proselling: 2:28am On Apr 20, 2020
Qyusfet:
Please i need advise on a genuine business i can start here in Nigeria with 600k as capital. Please I don't want anybody that thinks he can take opportunity to lure me to his benefit as your advice can either make a break a man, family and generation that suppose to benefit from me.
I'm located in Sagamu are of Ogun state.
Thank you all for contributing.

Please read carefully. Perhaps, it may be useful.

I was attracted by your location.

My advise will naturally be based on my professional experience. I am Salesman with core competence in FMCG.

Sagamu is a budding city in the making. Right now its proximity to Lagos has made it a beautiful bride for a lot of investors.
Both large and medium scale corporations are setting up factories which in turn is attracting a lot of smaller businesses and ultimately the population is growing in geometrically. This is a major advantage for long term investors. Its very central location among other growing towns (Abeokuta, Ijebu, Ijebu Igbo, Ikorodu) is a discerning Salesman's delight.

I suggest that as the early bird that you are, you should consider setting up an FMCG distributorship in the heart of the city.
Truth be told your initial capital outlay appears small but I assure you that it is more than adequate to start a promising distributorship that can evolve into a thriving concern within a few short years.

Now to how you can start, You don't need to invest the entire 600k in the business. A fraction of it is what you need to use to start by conducting surveys and doing trial sales of different products. When you have zeroed in on your preferred product, you can then of course expand by injecting more capital in graduated increments.

So step one is to look for a product that will appeal to the Sagamu residents.

Step two is to try out the product in practical terms. Please note that this is a not for profit stage.

Step three is to appraise the response you got from the sales survey.

Other steps will then follow as your appraisal yields the guiding information as required.

By the way, do you own a car? It doesn't matter the state it is in or the size of the car. Its the most important tool for a starter in the FMCG distributorship business. If you don't, it doesn't matter because with careful planning the money you would have used to rent a shop can be invested in buying a cheap but good car from Abeokuta, Ijebu or better still Ibadan.

Good luck to you Sir in whatever you choose to do.
Business / Re: What Business Can I Invest On With 3million Naira by Proselling: 1:59am On Apr 20, 2020
Niceboyy:
I have 3 million naira, and am still in school, which am always busy in school, I need a Business that I can invest on that will be flowing enough income and I won't lose at last, pls I need your ideas.

OP I would recommend that since this is your first attempt at business and you are still a student, you should start small (perhaps 300K).

You should also consider something that is traditionally tested and proven with as minimal risk exposure as possible; TRADING.

Having said that I would like to add that it depends on the location of your school and of course the staff/student numbers in that community.

You should look around your school and observe the buying pattern of the students and other staff paying particular attention to what is of interest to them. Please be guided and be more inclined to consumables, somethin that they have need to buy as regularly as possible.

If you disclose your school location, I could probably make a few further suggestions.

hi nairalanders,

I need your help with a viable business types I can do with 500k. A business that won't tie down my capital and make me reasonable profit.

Thank you.

For a new entrant into business, I suppose 500k is rather too much.

I suggest that you consider an incremental approach where you invest just 100k in a trading model that assures you of minimal risk, equally minimal returns but a very consistent flow of profit spanning several years.

Fast moving consumer goods is the way to go. You simply cannot get it wrong here.

I could avail you (free of charge) a simple model via email if you are interested in tapping into the huge potential in this segment.
