Grandpa is here tonight

Let’s go sit under the moonlight

‘cos tonight it’s clear and bright

Time to listen to a story that terrifies




He has a story to tell

Tale of Ijapa, Asin and Okere

Gather around all little children

Listen in one accord and with your ears!




I call him Baba Ewe

Always going around with his moral ways

He said learn to sing ‘’Asin bumi nimu je’’ this way

‘’jo mi jo’’ is what he asked us to say




One day, it was Ijapa that cross the path

Where the subject of love, peace and unity was set apart

It was Asin and Okere having the pat

Mixed with hatred and guts of vicious spat




Ijapa saw this and flew with speed

With a noble thought of setting them free

He ended the fight but wasn’t happy

Because the bite of Asin made his nose bleed.

A hulk sedentary on the great sovereignty of greatness
Sitting cozily amidst the great bare of corruption
Inexpedient but a definition of lost values
A nation rabidly infested by the destructive monster of tribalism
Glued with promises of faith religion unfolds
Swamped with unfaithful trailblazers
Disciples clamoring for a better state.
Right about now;
We need a scythe to graze the grass of insincere leadership
And install authentic valiant men
With the urge to curb dishonesty and injustice
Restoring the missile of veracity and justice
Loyalty all we need!
Even the reality oneness will unveil.
Traditional leaders without self-curiosity
Revealing Nigeria is one irrespective of the tribe
Fostering peace and unity among us all
Ensuring the restoration of joy left by our ancestors.
Sacred pioneers ensuring peace
Making sure we grow in love
We are tired of preaching and talking with no evolution
Show us what it means to live together
And forget what contrasts a religion from another.
With all these:
Our fatherland would mount the zenith of unparalleled success
Providing a connection between the affluent and the poor
Precisely what we anticipate will happen
If the right pace could be set.

In my blood, my ink is found

I flow though lines

As my blood flows through it course

I stick to the script

Like the osteocyte in my marrow

My blood faints not

My ink is all I've got

I flow to describe

I never cease to educate

This flow gives enlightenment

I don't skip correction

The truth is what I'd say

I don't care if you give a reproach

I love to make you feel alive

I am a life to the depressed

I flow throughout the world

Whenever you are, forget poignancy

I flow to heal your soul

Your freedom, My happiness

My ink may look like yours

But mine is granted an authority

It functions beyond limit

Even after am gone

I heard of it works, in places I've never been

My ink does not languish

Enjoy the flow of my blood

Flourish in the flow of my ink

My ink, my blood.
