Health / Heart Symptoms You Should Never Ignore by ProsperingPIOS(m): 11:17pm On Jul 03, 2016 |
Heart - related disease is more frequent in older people, especially in those who are fat, who smoke, or who have high blood pressure. Men and women share many of the same signs, but women more often have unexplained tiredness, sleeping problems, and shortness of breath. Women also feel an ache or tightness in the chest more than the sharper pains felt by men. Here are twelve symptoms that may signal heart trouble. 1. ANXIETY Heart attack can cause intense anxiety or a fear of death. Heart attack survivors often talk about having experienced a sense of "impending doom." 2. CHEST DISCOMFORT Pain in the chest is the classic symptom of heart attack, and "the number one symptom that we typically look for," says Jean C McSweeney, PhD,RN,associate dean for research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Nursing in Little Rock and a pioneer in research on heart symptoms in women. But not all heart attacks cause chest pain, and chest stem from ailments that have nothing to do with the heart. Heart-related chest pain is often centered under the breastbone, perhaps a little to the left of the center. The pain has been likened to "an elephant sitting on the chest," but it can also be an uncomfortable sensation of pressure, squeezing,or fullness. "It's not unusual for women to describe the pain as a minor ache," McSweeney says. "Some women say the pain wasn't bad enough even to take a Tylenol." Women, more so than men,can also experience a burning sensation in their chest, rather than a pressure or pain. "Sometimes people make the mistake that the problem comes from a stomach problem," says Nieca Goldberg, MD, clinical associate professor of medicine at the NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City. 3. COUGH Persistent coughing or wheezing can be a symptom of heart failure - a result of fluid accumulation in the lungs. In some cases, people with heart failure cough up bloody phlegm. 4. DIZZINESS Heart attacks can cause light-headedness and loss of consciousness known as arrhythmias. 5. FATIGUE Especially among women, unusual fatigue can occur during a heart attack as well as in the days and weeks leading up to one. And feeling tired all the time may be a symptom of heart failure. Of course, you can also feel tired or fatigued for other reasons. How can you tell heart- related fatigue from other types of fatigue? "If you don't feel well and all the wind is knocked out of your sails, don't try to figure it out on the internet or from a book," says Goldberg. "Wasting time is dangerous." Health / Heath Benefit Of Sleep by ProsperingPIOS(m): 1:20am On May 28, 2016 |
We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when
we are fully engaged in work we enjoy on the
journey toward the goal we've established for
ourselves. It gives meaning to
our time off and comfort to our sleep. It makes
everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.
- Earl Nightingale
As simple and natural as it is,sleep is vital to our
life and key to good health.
Nobody can dispute that adequate sleep helps
maintain a healthy heart,reduces stress,fights
depression, and energizes your body for needed
function. On the other hand, inadequate sleep at
night robs your body system of its natural capacity
to heal. Why? It is because naturally, your body
system produces more protein during sleep...it is
this process that facilitates the cells in your body
to repair any decay or potential damage to your
health.
Of all the reasons to get a good night's sleep,
protecting your heart might not be top of mind.
Sleep duration has decreased 1.5 to 2 hours per
night for individual in the last 50 years. But several
recent studies show links between shortened sleep
duration defined as less than 6 hours of sleep, and
increased risk of heart disease.
A 2011 European Heart Journal review of 15
medical studies involving almost 475,000 people
found that short sleepers had a 48% increased risk
of developing or dying from coronary heart disease
(CHD) in a 7 to 25-year follow-up period and a
15% greater risk of developing or dying from stroke
during this same time. Interestingly, long sleepers-
those who averaged nine or more hours a night
also showed a 38% increased risk of developing or
dying from coronary heart disease and a 65%
increased risk of stroke.
SLEEP AND TESTOSTERONE
Testosterone,a male hormone, is highest during
sleep, and highest during the best part of
sleep, known as REM sleep. REM sleep is Rapid Eye
Movement, a time of your sleep you dream. The
hormone starts rising when you go to bed and
peaks in the morning at about dawn.
That's why dawn is the most fertile time for a
man,the best time to impregnate. You will spill the
most sperm,and the best long-distance
swimmers,at dawn.
These all night hormone spikes are also why men
will get multiple erections, lasting on average for
fifteen minutes, the precise length of a testosterone
release circle, and this happens when you are
asleep. That's why men (should) wake up with
erections.
SLEEP,EMOTIONS AND THOUGHTS
During sleep,you de-stress,rejuvenate your
drive, and recharge your energy. It's when you
refortify your ambition and creativity. It's when you
fix yourself up and settle new ideas in the mind.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF SLEEP
Sleep is when you strengthen your
bones,muscles,memories, blood, sperm,and new
learning. It's when your onboard diagnostics and
your immune system self-heal and detoxify. It's
when you repair both physical and psychological
wounds. It's when you grow both physically and
psychologically.
Good hormones lead,trigger, oil, oversee,contribute
to,mediate,or are involved in all of these restorative
processes. The better you sleep, the more these
hormones shine. As the hormones level rise, they
promote other brain chemicals important for
quality sleep.
Here is where the effect kicks in: the more
refreshing your sleep is,the more your body will
produce good hormones and the more you
experience their greater benefits to greater effects
to build better production capacity.
By the time you are forty- five years old,you will
have spent one-third of your life asleep. That's
about fifteen years-years-asleep. Make that time
work for you. Read more here. www.wealthhealthandyou..com |

Health / Managing Hypertension by ProsperingPIOS(m): 7:44pm On May 23, 2016 |
Hypertension or high blood pressure occurs when the pressure inside the blood vessels is too high. When your heart pumps,it sends blood out through the arteries. The force of your blood pushing against the walls of your arteries causes pressure. Every time your heart beats,it forces more blood into the arteries, causing the pressure to rise. Between beats, when the heart is resting, the pressure lowers. Symptoms of Hypertension High blood pressure is sometimes called a silent killer because it may have no outward symptoms for years. In fact, one in five people with the condition don't know they have it. Internally,it can quietly damage the heart, lungs, blood vessels, brain, and kidneys if left untreated. It's a major risk factor for strokes and heart-related diseases. Symptoms of a hypertensive crises can include a severe headache, anxiety, nosebleeds, and feeling short of breath. The Hypertensive Danger Zone A normal blood pressure reading is below 120/80. A blood pressure reading of 140/90 or higher may be an indication of hypertension. When it's too high,it raises the heart 's workload and can cause serious damage to the arteries. At 180/110 and higher, you may be having a hypertensive crisis. Rest for a few minutes and check your blood pressure again. If it is still very high, visit your doctor. If left unchecked,a hypertensive crisis can lead to a stroke, heart attack, kidney damage or loss of consciousness. Causes of Hypertension Up to the age of 45,more men have high blood pressure than women. It becomes more common for both men and women as they age,and more women have hypertension as they reach 65. You have a greater risk if a close family member has high blood pressure or if you are diabetic. Findings show that about 60% of people with diabetes have high blood pressure. The cause of hypertension is unknown for up to 95% of cases. Although this is the case,a few factors can worsen it. These are smoking, stress, salt, and alcohol. Hypertension and Sodium Sodium, a major component of salt, can raise blood pressure by causing the body to retain fluid, which leads to a greater burden in the heart. For people who have gene that makes them salt-sensitive,just a half teaspoon of salt can raise blood pressure by 5 mm Hg. Diet and excessive weight can play a role as well. The American Heart Association recommends eating less than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day. You need to check food labels and menus carefully. Processed foods contribute up to 75% of our sodium intake. Canned soups and launch meats are prime culprits. Hypertension and Stress Stress can make your blood pressure spike but there's no evidence that it causes hypertension as an ongoing condition. However, stress may affect risk factors for heart disease; so,it may have an indirect connection to hypertension. Stress may lead to other unhealthy habits, like poor diet, alcohol use,or smoking, which can contribute to hypertension and heart disease. Hypertension and Weight Being overweight places a strain on your heart and increases your risk of hypertension. That's why diets to lower blood pressure are often also designed to control calories. They typically call for cutting fatty foods and added sugars, while increasing fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and fiber. Even losing 10 pounds can make a huge difference. Hypertension and Pregnancy Gestational hypertension is a kind of high blood pressure that occurs in the second half of pregnancy. Without treatment, it may lead to a serious condition called preeclampsia that endangers both mother and the baby. The condition can limit blood and oxygen flow to the baby and can affect the mother's kidneys and brain. After the baby is born, the mother's pressure usually returns to its normal level. Hypertension and Medicine Cold and flu medicines that contain decongestants are one of several classes of medicine that can cause your blood pressure to rise. Others include pain relievers, birth control pills, and some antidepressants. If you have hypertension, talk to your doctor about what medicines and supplements you are taking that may affect blood pressure. 'White Coat' Hypertension Some people only have a high reading in doctor's office; perhaps, the reason for this is because they are nervous. Some will only have high blood pressure sporadically. To get a more accurate reading, take your blood pressure at home, chart your readings, and share them with your doctor. Hypertension and Children While hypertension is more often a problem for older people, even children can have high blood pressure. "Normal" blood pressure varies based on a child's age, height, and sex. Children are at greater risk if they are overweight and have a family history of the illness. Investment / An Online Business Just For You by ProsperingPIOS(m): 12:46am On Aug 08, 2015 |
When I joined SFI I was looking for a legitimate opportunity that made no promises of instant big money or even thousands of dollars in few weeks! I was tired of finding those schemes that were full of horse puckie. I was looking for a business with established online capabilities that also embraced traditional affiliate and network marketing possibilities. I found all of these in SFI...and much more. I wasn't necessarily looking for a free opportunity as I already know from experience that to be successful you need to invest time (hours per week and dedication and commitment for the next 2-5 years), effort, AND yes...money. I already understood that you reap what you sow. If you don't sow (make any financial investment) corn you won't reap corn--the same is true with money. In order to have a return on investment (cash) you must INVEST (cash). I had been involved in network marketing and traditional businesses already (someday I'll share my story), and I knew already what it takes to make a business like this work...AND I also knew the benefits that this business offers were what I truly was looking for: Time leveraging, duplication, residual income, and the potential for financial independence. This business requires vision AND a dream. If you don't have both you will be among those who choose to step out into the wayside. You need to have a burning "WHY" --a dream-- that resonates within your heart and gives you the energy and drive to reach for and obtain what the average and mediocre will never get in their life. You also must have the ability to see your business a huge business BEFORE it ever gets there (vision) AND TREAT or HANDLE your business a though it is already a large income producing enterprise BEFORE you even earn your first $10! You then must be able to see yourself successful and then work consistently at putting the pieces of "your puzzle" together so that your vision becomes actuality. You need to find like minded people OR find people who are willing to grow and develop and become success-minded individuals who become a part of your team. This business isn't for lone rangers--it requires team work. We then need to not let circumstances determine our potential. You will get more "no's" then those who will do this. You simply need to become developed in your recruiting and marketing practices. SFI is a great opportunity for anyone anywhere to become successful and make their dreams come true. But you've got to believe, then be determined to achieve.I can show you how to get started.08184688963-what's app |
