My ex and mother of my triplets and I are separated. The children were with me.

Last week she called me to inform me that she is in the village and she wants to come over to see the children. I told her no problem my mother is at home with the kids she can come over anytime and she came on Monday while I was a t work. She brought foodstuffs and toys for the kids.

She texted me to asked if she can take them to her mother's place I said yes. She left with the 3 children. I expected her to bring them back today she said she is going back to Lagos tomorrow and this evening I came home I met my boys, not my girl. My mother said it was her brother who dropped them and I saw a big luggage with plenty of clothes she bought for them. I asked my mum what did the brother said about my girl he said my ex told her to inform me that she will bring her back tomorrow morning. I called, her number is switched off so I went at her mother's place, she said she left with the girl to Lagos yesterday.

I am very upset that she took the girl to Lagos without my consent and I want my girl back.

What should I do to have my child back with me?

That means that up till now, all they have been doing is watching cocomelon. Did they get any nursery education...like identifying and writing numbers?

I ask because my daughter is 4 going on 5. She just started primary and they moved her to the next class because of her foundation. You will have to start them from nursery so that they don't struggle.

Sorry ma I think you got it wrong, my triplet are not 5 they will be 3 years next month and nursery 1 is the right class for them to be

Are they being home-schooled? At age 5, they are supposed to be going to Pry 1. Or are you going to start them from nursery at that age? Because going straight to pry 1 might be difficult for them to catch up.

I wanted to home school them but the problem has been resolved they will go to school in 2 weeks time

How are we even sure that your wife won't be pregnant aga before that school time

If you want those children to start school at that year of age your are planning for them,

Are they going to start from KG or nursery class or straight to primary one class

If yes then then you are the one who spoilt their educational foundation class

So if they don't catch up, even up to WAEC level don't blame them

Your decision made them so

How are you even sure that by that 5yrs you will hit millions to start school for them

I will advise you allow them to start pre-school now this September and even it means you starving to see them through with school fees, do so that's what other parents are doing

Pls look for schools around you and pick one that the school fees are manageable

Don't truncate their future education pls

It's amazing how technology made learning easy for us. 3 year olds are not going to learn rocket science. Just go online and download many video lessons suitable for their age.

I reside in emene the cheapest school which I can afford at 3500 for nursery is far away for my mother. If I had the time I would have do the school run myself but I can't due to work. The one that's 7k is just around the corner she can do the school run but I can't afford for all three of them that's why I want to homeschooling them until things get better for me

Since mama can't take them everyday the day she will take them the bike man wouldn't come... that's what people do oh,if you.allow disadvantage Way you down you might not even get an opportunity when advantages arise

well check around if there is any school there don't mind the structures okay it's the impact you need you can get a cheap school around there just ask around.

Thanks I have checked the nearest school is far away from home, my mum has health issue she will not able to pick and drop them every single day due to the distance.

The least I can do is to beg on social media I am a hard working man with a low salary and I came here to seek for the advice about home schooling my children. I didn't come here to beg for any money. This is not my first thread go through all of them you can see for yourself that my aim has nothing to do with begging. I am not a handicapped I wake up every morning to go to work. Please stop thinking bad about me because I am not what you think I am.

With this in view, ensure you home school them them . Pick out a regular time, no matter what and take them through the normal syllabus in your state.

Some children in outside countries were also trained this way. But please try to put them in school . It's not easy but God will see you through.

Let d children trace no(1_10) nd letters (a_z), colouring nd scribblings. Nd show d children different pictures of object, animals to identify. U can also download d alphabet apps nd number apps where ur child can trace , write nd colour on your phone, trust me d apps are fun. Any time am with my phone my daughter would be crying nd begging me dat she wants to write on my phone

If you're are in Lagos put them in a public school,schools there are more better than some private school self...also try home lesson to boost their knowledge public schools in Lagos offer scholarships to pupils and later take them to expensive private schools... know of people who have benefited from it.

You can homeschool them in the meantime so that they don't have to start from the scratch at that age you intend registering them.

Get them number and letter charts, color and basic shapes.

If you know sounds, begin to teach them. Eg. "ah" as in apple. Not A (ay) for apple o.

Then teach the primary colors. Take one color for max three days or more, depending on their pace. If they are fast learners and can identify within a short time, then introduce another color, or shape.

Make them recite the alphabet everyday. Then pick one or two letters and teach them to identify and write those letters repeatedly in an exercise book by you first writing out the first line and let them copy.

To introduce writing, give them color pencils now to start scribbling on a plain sheet. Then buy them coloring books with pictures. Give them to color. This exercises and firms their pixa grip (fingers) enabling them to grasp writing tools very easily.

Start with these steps first.

Fact is that based on your present situation,your children will not achieve much from homeschooling because you don't even have the resources to effectively homeschool them and your kids having to wait till Sundays which is not even sure to be taught is very inimical to their development.

Home schooling is not a walk in the park, you need have the time daily (as if they go to school weekdays), you need to draw up lesson plans that should capture what is age appropriate to learn, fun activities to enhance their fine motor skills etc

No matter the discord between you and the mother of your children, you have to get her involved because you both are their parents aa I perceive that there are some developmental milestones your children are already missing and it is not for their good.

You are right ma but that's the norm in nigeria that children as young as 2 should go to school and most of my children aged mate are already in nursery 3. Thanks for the suggestion

Put them in a public school near you and work your schedule on how to drop and pick them.3yrs is the starting age for most nursery public schools.
If you were in Anambra or Amaechi's remodeled public schools in Rivers,it'd be good.Their public schools are children friendly and have considerable edge above many private schools.Educational facilities,playground,sports faolities,character moulding etc

Stop whining about your baby mama everytime,if she was dead would you ressurect her to come and cater for them?

Thanks for the suggestion I am in enugu, I am not winning about her because from my post I didn't included her. I have included her because someone have asked about my daughter who was staying with her. they are my children I am not tired of them and I will never abandon them. I have faith everything will be fine for us very soon.

In the state you are resident in, don't their public primary schools have nursery section?

I have a limited free time due to the nature of my job but I will try to teach them anytime I am available mostly on Sundays. Public school is not an option because is far away from home and my mother is not strong enough to drop and pick them that far

2. Get a private teacher to take them in which you can pay and or less than 20k per month
3. Look around you for a well to do person and ask him/ her for financial or scholarship help.

I am a single father

Is 4 or 5 years too late to start school? I am asking because my triplets will be 3 years next month I have no plan for all three to start school yet because I am not financially stable i can only afford for one which will not be fair on the other two. I will keep them at home until they are 4 or 5 years. I hope it will not affected them when they start school at 4 or 5 years also what is the best way to teach them at home any books reccomandation and prices please??

Tell your wife to get a job. Unless she's disabled, I don't understand why a grown up wouldn't work.
Try to get your siblings to be involved in your mother's care.

When we were together she refused to work because she wanted her own business and I didn't have any money to open it for her. Now that we are separated she is no longer my wife it's up to her to decided on what's best for her life. I only have one younger sis she is a house help and still in school.

See! Your children are fast growing, and the expenses will inevitably increase.
As it is, the 55k is hard enough to manage, how much more when your children grow older.
You have to do something to change your situation.

My dear u are talking like u don't live in this country and u don't know how the economy is hard nawa ooo. If things are easier for you thank God but do not blame me because it's not my fault the country is hard and am not going to do money ritual to change the situation. am trusting God he is the one who blessed me with triplets and I know he have greater plan for me. For now let me be happy with what I have for now. No situation is permanent

The reason why I am giving her that amount is because she is staying with her mother who is a landlady and she is doesn't lack any foods. But I have 3 mouths to feed with 35k monthly which is not sufficient but we are managing. I don't have enough to add.
