Sorry for the delay. First and foremost, I will advise you order your gcms note and defer your admission. Secondly, I feel there's no clear relationship between your bachelor's degree and intended PGD(except if have a very good and convincing reason for it). Try to get a master's admission in related field but if you can't then go for PGD course that's related to your Bsc then try to explain why you are going for PGD and not master's (there are so many reasons for that, shouldn't have to be because of low bsc grades ).
NB: while trying to fix all these , make sure you order for your gcms note as you won't regret doing it.

I happen not to be the one who wrote my SOP, a family friend who lives in Canada did and he also handled my application. Though I felt my SOP was quite shaggy but it was forthright.
Can you please advice me on my next move should I go ahead and pay my fees and tackle the financial ground of refusal because that is what my family friend is suggesting or I defer the admission while I request my GCMS note. I really want to meet this sept intake but the time it takes for the note to arrive is unfavorable.

PS: what are the documents your cousin submitted and if I may, can I contact you because this whole thing is getting me devastated.

There’s a strong correlation between his undergrad (IT) and the course he is applying for. He just needs to articulate it in his SOP. IT Project Management is a big thing - the question is whether or not he explained how that would help him when he returns to Nigeria or what he plans to do on his return. I packaged my cousin’s application (I’m his sponsor) same undergrad course, same course at Winnipeg and he just got his passport request. Also, as someone else said here, all the reasons for denial point to finance. Let’s not be quick to jump to conclusions.

Passport data page
Sponsor’s letter (My sponsor is my Dad, 7m bal)
Sponsors CAC document
Sponsors letter of sponsorship
Parent’s landed document and survey plan (Lagos)

Reason for Refusal:

Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

Pursuant to paragraph 220(c) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada


My undergraduate course was Information Technology (studied in Ghana) and I'm currently serving.

My proposed course of study is Project Management (Post Degree Diploma) at UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG

I was introduced to the forum after my application and since then I've been scared of a refusal, well here is it. Is there anything left behind? What didn’t I do right? Please, I need suggestions guys.

All gurus I honestly crave your indulgence. should I reapply by tackling the above reasons or I request for a GCMS note while I defer my admission?

thanks for your response, I got only the validity message and no background check or review mail inclusive. Tracked my application and it's still being processed at the Canada Visa Office. I'm just hopeful and optimistic.

I'm an ardent reader of this thread since I applied 10th May via paper route. I just got a mail of my Biometric validity untill 2029/05/10, please does this mean a Medical Request will be a follow-up mail? Gurus help.
