My sister, they can afford it...I'm not saying they're less serious, I'm saying they can be less serious and the home would still run smoothly...In contrast to the man being less serious and the home is expected to run smoothly... If the woman is serious, then the husband has to be more serious...
And I'm saying the home might not run smoothly again if a woman becomes less serious and loses her job. For an average family, the category under which most families fall, things will change, they won't remain the same. |
ChuksBlaze: yea well ... I think we need change and order in this house cos since I started NO OnE PAYS THEIR BILLs AND OUR HEADS ARE NOT WORRIED. I believe I can bring the change that this house needsThe "Heads" aren't worried cos they think the house is doing fine without taxing its members. If/when the need arises, we'll do that. |
ChuksBlaze: no need for the military cos I stand for freedom and I have the support of the ppCan you name such people please? Cos when you went into self-exile yesterday, I asked for your friends on this thread and nobody signaled τ̅☺ be a friend of yours. |
Okay, lets agree the man was 'ego-ridden' it doesn't mean the woman should be 'ego-driven'...And should that qualify him ALONE as 'Unfortunate and Unserious'?? Yes, I've been looking at it sincerely since 10:00pm...Why was it the man that overslept & not the woman??...Why was the story trying to show that the woman was wiser IF the writer actually wants to pass the moral lesson across to everybody without favoritism??... Feel me??
I've given you the only reason under which I'll feel you. τ̅☺ the others, you'll have τ̅☺ look for the writer of the joke τ̅☺ help you with them. I tagged the man 'unfortunate' because he was the one that got affected most by it. But seriously, some guys think they're wise only for the girl τ̅☺ prove she's wiser |
CHUKS, you're welcome back o. Expected τ̅☺ see you with some military members τ̅☺ aid the coup, I'm surprised you're alone. Can you explain your actions τ̅☺ the whole house mates? We are listening.... |
Women work harder??...If this is a joke please stop it o cos you're already killing me with laughter!.....Rotfl!!! Maybe she meant during pregnancy!... You feel me??
Guess she'll be here τ̅☺ clarify that later in the day. I can't speak on that cos I don't have evidence τ̅☺ back it up. |
I know their inputs count...But when it comes to the extreme, which is more expendable??...The husband's or the wife's??
I know what you want τ̅☺ hear is the wife's, but it isn't I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ all cases, especially if the husband isn't earning much. Take it or leave, most couples don't depend on just the man's income, they have τ̅☺ pull resources together. |
I'm always sitting on a long thing my sister, it makes me inquisitive...Can you give me examples of tribes whose women are more hardworking than their men??...Even if you come up with one, it'll still be 1 out of many... Feel me??
Unfortunately I can't give you one. But seriously, I can remember ♏v̶̲̥̅ friends and I analysing a particular tribe whose women are more hardworking than the men. But I'm not concerned about that. What I'm concerned about is τ̅☺ correct the notion that women are less serious and can afford τ̅☺ jeopardize their jobs as against their male counterparts. |
fadinus: i partly agree because d men dat i knw n av seen work as hard as dier woman...Okay. Can't say anything about that cos I haven't been there. |
Exactly!...And I'm trying to maintain that, failure of the man to deliver would most likely jeopardize the home than if its the other way round...No one would raise eyebrows if a lady stays at home while husband goes to work, but what kind of parents would give out the hand of their hardworking daughter to a jobless man??...Questions would be asked! You feel me??
I'm only going τ̅☺ feel you if you now agree that the woman's income isn't useless τ̅☺ the welfare of the couple. |
You're kidding right??...Men are less hardworking than women, in which part of the country does that happen??...Perhaps I didn't get her example well sha... Feel me??
You got the example right, it is clear enough. Do you think men of all tribes nationwide are hardworking? If you do, then you must be sitting on a long thing! |
Really, from all you are saying...You only care about upholding the reputation of a woman...You are less concerned about the Home...Do you know how shameful it is for a woman to be the breadwinner of a family??... All your illustrations suit a single lady best, not a married one... You feel me??
No. I'm concerned about the home too. As a matter of fact, I'm concerned more concerned about the way she handles the home front and official tinz too. Like I said earlier, women shouldn't be proud of being the breadwinner of their families but their input also counts. |
fadinus: i think both are hardworking, none shuld b given plaudit over the other. But lady P says the women work harder. Are you subtly saying she's lying? |
You see now??...Trying to digress from the moral of the story; 'Communication is very important in every Marriage'...by shifting the onus on the man alone... Feel me??
Nope I'm not. I'm not denying that communication is very important I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ every marriage or relationship. My first comment on this matter was that the man got what ego-ridden men should get I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ that situation. Looking at it sincerely, as regards the communication aspect, if that man really had an important thing τ̅☺ do at that time, he should have broken the communication gap. It could even have helped resolve the whole issue. |
Of kois!....That must be the 'Hollywood' aspect...How many of you ladies can be proud of it if you're the breadwinner in your homes??...
Nope, we aren't saying women should be proud of being the breadwinners of their homes, we're only trying τ̅☺ say that a woman's income is important τ̅☺ the couple's welfare just the same way the man's is also important. |
No no, PRINCESS please don't misread me...It was ignited by DAHRACH's joke, pointing that communication is very important in every marriage...Normally, if the joke were to be unbiased, both the Husband & Wife should have lost something...But it was shifted on the man alone... And my question was, why didn't it happen the other way round??....I was only trying prove the validity of my question...Coincidentally, your sleep post came in & I grabbed it as a leverage... Contrarily, I can still counter myself by saying; If PRINCESS sleeps early, then she'll wake up earlier than her husband...If she sleeps most times during the day, then the intensity of her sleep in the night would have been reduced hence, she'll wake up before her husband... The scenario can be modified from various angles, but what I'm trying to maintain is that it could have been the wife that overslept while the husband left her a note... You feel me??
No we don't! Well, as far as this story is concerned, it only happened τ̅☺ be that the man was the unfortunate one and unserious at that. |
princessmia: #yawns# nightPlease stay a little longer naa... |
princessmia: sorry to pop into this, but that depends on what part of the country u r from. No disrespect to Fadinus, but MOST times, our men are less hardworking than the females. Making the women the general breadwinner.Nah...feel free τ̅☺ contribute dear, its a general open topic. GC, lady P has given a very good example. FADINUS, is that true? |
princessmia: GC! What is ur own now?! I sleep n wake up at odd times. Wen its tym to fast, I'm d 1st to wake. I wake up at odd times coz I don't sleep deep. Lol. Don't fear. My kids can't b late for school n my hubby won't b late for work. For now, as 1st Lady rightly put it, I'm jobless n can sleep weneva n however I want! ![]() |
Hmmmm, please lets look at this from the 'Real Life' scenario and not 'Nollywood' aspect...If a woman would be a bread winner, its gonna be 1 out of 50 homes & our case study shouldn't be based on such rarity...If both of them are managing, them more reasons why the man can, least likely, oversleep cos he knows what's at stake...Woman more hardworking?? C'mon! That's 1 out of 70 homes!...Feel me??
As far as this debate is concerned, I can't feel you at all. So far a woman is working, no matter how much she earns, it affects the welfare of the couple, or at least the lady. I'm not using nollywood script, I'm using real life scenarios. Another side τ̅☺ it is that the woman has every reason τ̅☺ wake up late (even though she doesn't). She goes through the stress of office work and comes home τ̅☺ meet domestic work too and you think she won't be tired? Rara o, body no be stone. But against all odds, she still wakes up early τ̅☺ get τ̅☺ work. Also, who on earth oversleeps purposely just τ̅☺ get sacked? Such a person could have easily tendered a resignation letter instead of the shame and embarrassment of getting sacked. |
Ermmmm....What makes you think she won't get used to it oooo??
Let's wait till then first. |
Yeah, I remember now though its very rare...Even with that, its still permissible for the woman to be fired any day cos it won't affect the welfare of the couple...That's why she can, most likely, oversleep...But that must never happen to the man...that's why he can, least likely, oversleep...You feel me??
No, I don't feel you at all! The presumption that the wife getting fired won't affect the welfare of the couple is very false. What if she is the major bread winner? What if the both of them are still managing even with the wife working. For all you care, the wife might even be more hardworking than the husband. |
...But you know she sleeps a lot...Remember; #mortal kombat voice# round 'X' sleep??....X may be any number oooo!
That is because she is currently jobless and not married! |
No, I'm not talking about couples with kids...Most busy men don't eat before going to work...
Then that will be for house wives, cos women too go τ̅☺ work (just in case you've forgotten). |
@DAHRACH, can you see now oooo!....If she were to be the woman & I was the man, who do you think will oversleep??....Na the woman ooo!
Does she sleep this early everyday? |
Heeeee!....Last year??...Are you serious??...Me I still tried oo, there is a railroad beside my secondary school...We used to see trains sometimes then, Bodija Oju-irin in Ibadan...I dunno if it still happens now sha...
That's the truth o, just last year! And it was I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ Ibadan. |
Because it was supposed to be the woman who overslept!...They do that a lot...The man must have left her a note...But the moral lesson still remains the same sha...
Hello sir! Please wake up. Often times, in most homes, the woman wakes up before the man. Who gets d children ready for school and cooks for the family? |
Dahrach: Everytime I read this story, I just LOL...That's what ego-ridden guys get. Ode! It pays him berra. He doesn't have phone τ̅☺ set alarm abi? Stupendious impeted! |
princessmia: goodnight my pretty onesGood night pweety face buh why so soon? |
Haaaa, then it means it hasn't rained there today??...
Nope, it only drizzled for like 3mins and that was all. |
heheheheheehee...They really enjoyed ooo!...My dad couldn't afford that, most of his trips were via railway....Good old days!...Which of our railways are still functioning now??.....May GOD revive our country!
Railway ke? Long thing! Sincerely, I just saw a train moving in this country for the first time in ♏v̶̲̥̅ life last year. You can imagine! And it was sheer luck cos I was also I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ transit at that time. |
.......Quiet House.....Is it because of the cold??...Its so cold in Iwo right now...
Its not so cold here in Abeokuta. |
