N5-Trillion Is For Developing An App You Can Put On Phone And Know If Guns Are Around—Jimoh Ibrahim


A member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, has, during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television Programme, noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ready to spend money to improve security in the country, as he revealed that N5 trillion may be spent to develop an app that allows security agencies to notice the presence of ammunitions around them during operations.



Senator Jimoh Ibrahim had said, "I am a security man. He is going to spend more. He wants to bring in technology to resolve the problem of security, as opposed to using manpower, and that engagement will cost him money. He is likely to develop an app that police will use, the army will use, and attract land security. 2025 is the worst year for criminals, for those bandits—very terrible—because N5 trillion is for developing an app for security engagement, whereby you put on your phone, and you can know how many guns are around you."
