I have this fantastic business idea i've been thinking about for almost 2years but i'm super scared of quitting my job and venture into the business.

I actually took the job to save up for the business but along the line my dad advised i buy a land around one higher instutition in my state and build student hostels, so each time i save up to the require amount to set up this business,i develop cold feet and i end up using the money to develop the site.

I'm so into this business or let me put it this way: the business is so into me that i could search the internet for 5hrs Straight(mid-night,midday, on the move, in the office,anywhere and everyone- that is the only thing i think about),it got so bad that the only thing i gist my friends about is this biz.

Its almost 5am and i'm still wide-awake thinking and writing stuffs down about the biz logistics(its that bad)

My fam are a bit skeptical about quitting my job(when good jobs are hard to comeby) and starting a new biz.Also, i think they are just reasoning like a typical african parent by saying 'what if you set up with all you have in lagos and you end up settling down in another state?

I can't even think straight because once i clear my account again for my hostel project, i would hv to start saving allover again.

The probability that the biz would be a hit is 80%, but IF 'idea hackers' overtake me kpere! temibami niyen! I'm not too bothered abt 'idea hackers' really, nigeria population is too big for one person to monopolise an idea.

What should i do pls?

If you are this convinced, you should quit already, else you will regret it years later. Ideas are like energy, it flows...some other people have this same ideas of yours. If you don't take action today, you will cry" had I known" later. It has happened to me with some great ideas I had.

One thing, an entrepreneur never lose anything, you fail, you learn better ways of doing it. You keep learning and pushing.

The extra advice I will give you is this - have savings that can feed you and your dependants for at least 6 months and launch out.

The issue here is whether teachers are being owed salaries, it is a deafening yes!
What of pensioners in the state? They have been on verification since God knows when, and have not been paid since last year!

Company Admin

Job Roles:

7. Check up on linguists at 50% and 90% of project deadline

8. Receive linguist replies

c. Make fixes if possible and required to meet deadline

10. Reply to clients with proper files/responses – email or portal

Yes, there is always generalisation and stereotypical association..There are different ethnic groups in the north but being Muslim from the north and able to communicate in Hausa makes them one. While the rest are the other. In Nigeria, on the streets of the major cities I have been to, You are either Aboki, inyamiri, ofe mmanu, or Omo Igbo.
By the way another thought you should factor...from my personal experience, socially and professionally, all Nigerians I have met show a level of tribal sentiment no matter how highly placed..It is called the unconscious bias. Our brain judge people quickly by the name or appearance before we get to know them. It takes years of self awareness and conscious practice to purge yourself of this. You can run a little experiment to confirm this fact, send a cv bearing a typical Igbo name and Yoruba name with the same qualification to an Igbo or Yoruba HR. Let it be the same qualifications but alter the arrangement and some other details, check the candidate that will be picked..

Igbo's are undoubtedly the most hated tribe in Nigeria from independence, for the Igbo it is just plain envy and they do not hesitate to rub it on your face..reference how the civil war started. The north sees any non-northerner as another person so they never believed in GEJ. .when the time came to remove him with the help of ACN, the propaganda masters activated the tribal card by branding GEJ igbo...thereafter, it was a smooth ride.

The hatred for GEJ was not just of competence issues because OBJ's tenure in my honest opinion was not any better.
