This Movie has to make at least $400million to to considered profitable. Mind you cinema exhibitors take between 30-40% of a movie profit , and you have to factor in Marketing & Distribution Budget which isn't included in the that film Budget and usually Run in the hundreds of millions.
Though the movie has made over $80million from Disney plus. So this movie isn't going to be profitable Disney knows this, they just wanted to release a movie after over 1yr without a cinema movie release and remember Disney is a public company listed on the stock exchange (need to please investors).
Bottom line is this same day Cinema and Streaming service release won't work because the streaming will eat into cinema revenue, heck some streaming service offer this tentpole blockbuster movie at no extra charge. Cinema is where is big 9-10 figure profit is. THE ONLY THING I LOVE ABOUT THIS IS THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT 3 MONTHS TO DOWNLOAD THIS HIGH BUDGET MOVIE, IT SAME DAY
