Maybe its because of the hype, I was expecting to be blown away but it was average at best. If it was a Nigerian movie, no one will even remember it falls under some of the tales we were told or even some movies we have seen when younger , only thing missing is a prayer warrior or religious family to combat that woman. Maybe its the irreligiousness of the US that 17 kids go missing and no one went to 'find out'?

Everyone just start comfortably expecting the cops to sort it out save the teacher and that parent. While the end was quite funny, enjoyable to see that she got what she deserved and more, the whole movie was a letdown.

I haven't seen the episode yet but saw spoilers on twitter. They built Melo's teamup with Trick from the DIY segment last week. I'd say Melo needs Trick more than Trick needs him right now.
The Rhea, Vaquer and Tiffany teamup feels like a hasty motley crew lineup. I'd rather see the other NXT ladies team up against Fatal Influence instead.

"pigeonholed" indeed fgs...This brother is so funny. Like he and his team vetted, and accepted roles and the massive paychecks that came with them, that actually made him one of the highest paid actors, to ever touch this industry, did he think filmmakers doling that much cash didn't know what they were doing?. They quite knew bro, had the acting range of a snail, but they knew the had a certain "aura" that was a massive BO draw, till unfortunately it wasn't, so coupled with other self destructing factors, the industry quietly eased him back into a premature oblivion...Nobody "pigeonholed" you, Big man...They quite knew, yous was only good as a "brawler" and were happy to give you that role over and over again, and any other role that required any sort of technical acting was reserved for actors with actual talent...I mean this MF, might actually be the least talented, of all the actors that pivoted from the WWE.

Now i seem to be engaging more of "The Critical Drinker's" post these days , and he did a fantastic piece on him last week or so, that succinctly encapsulates the whole thing.

"The Smashing Machine" (2025) is actually one of my most anticipated movies, the trailer looks decent, and easily looks like a script that a good actor can flex plus Benny Safdie is such an underrated indie gem filmmaker, that knows how to bring the best in actors, I mean look at what Robert Pattison did in "Good Time" (2017) and Adams Sandler in "Uncut Gems" (2019)...norm bending all timer performances from both actors in both so if DJ can't smash this, then he might be actually cooked in this industry 😩😩

I've noticed reviews like yours similar to those I saw when Top Gun: Maverick dropped, and while it’s just two films, there seems to be a pattern. It looks like tech and vehicle-focused movies exploring themes of legacy and mentorship are his niche. After his success with Top Gun, I’m definitely interested in seeing this one.

I read someone's comment here saying she sucks hence they pushed her to Evolve (I know she's back on NXT), so I had to watch her matches. My question is why and how does she suck? She's big, strong, knows how to wrestle (literally an Olympic gold medalist and knows how to act (this one even surprised me). Or is it because she has a natural look, packs her hair (imagine that) and doesn't have a gimmick? I'm confused. Well Tyra Mae Steele is a star and if you can't see that, I don't know what you're watching.
