SOZINN: The argument being that the people of Metropolis you're so worried about were already used to seeing Superman win fights, so handing Ultraman's ass to him the first time he showed up wouldn't have made any difference to them.
🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
Nah man, I meant real humans that go to see the movie on screen or at home like you.
SOZINN: No I wrote a more detailed version of what you said because I watched the movie. You're the one here lying and making things up. Even if I wanted to take what you said at face value, those things are clearly not feats.
Lol, they are not feats abi No wahala 😂😂😂 Just don't say he is the weakest Superman on screen and we good.
SOZINN: I don't know how you watched that movie but in the beginning we were led to believe that Superman had never lost a fight in 3 years before the Hammer of Boravia, people didn't have a problem with him not losing then.
Jesus Christ wasn't that off screen? na wa oh, which kind argument be this one again
SOZINN: Ultraman was a dumbed down version of him and he was fed counter moves by a human whom Superman is 100,000x faster than. Nothing excuses the way Superman was handled in the beginning. He wasn't having any problems with the Kaiju because the Kaiju had never grown that big before and it was confused, slow and it's only fire power was literally fire which does nothing to Superman. You can hardly call beating that kind of creature a feat.
He wasn't fending off Ultraman in that field, don't stretch it. Ultraman was landing hits and when he beat the shit out of him The Engineer proceeded to suffocate him with nanites while he was on his knees and his flight out of earth was an escape mechanism. The Raptors weren't exactly clothed in Vibranium or anything like that, your idea of flattening them was just spraying them with heat vision. If he didn't do that at the end we would have questioned if he had heat vision. Do you really expect us to be impressed by that? Do you even know what a feat means?
He beat a brain dead version of himself and don't mention him getting out of that black hole without Metamorpho. Don't forget he was holding his baby so Metamorpho pulled with every strength he had. At least you have accepted his reaction speed is shit, maybe we are getting somewhere.
Na you dey call am "dumbed down version" and "escape mechanism" and also "...with every strength he had" please what strength does metamorpho have?. You basically just repeated everything I said but with your usual shithousery so cool bro👍🏿
SOZINN: You guys are even going too far with this. There's no way Lex Luthor would be able to give instructions in the middle of a fight between 2 Kryptonians (one by birth and the other by DNA) unless one was completely dumb and the other was Corenswet's Superman. Even if he was moving at Makkari's level, Lex wouldn't be able to see him coming and he would have broken Ultraman in under 60 seconds. You guys are talking about speed as if he faced an intergalactic being where he needed that kind of speed. This was supposed to be a regular day in the park and he was utterly dog walked, dragged across the ground and kicked in the nuts.
If he broke Ultraman in seconds the mob would still be out with their pitchforks talking about how overpowered Superman is and how unrelatable he is.
Kaycee7: I still wan address a couple of reviews later but the power scaling dey muzz me. I'm wondering whether it's the same movie all of us watched. Ultraman only beat him once in that entire movie
They don't understand the character. They think Superman is just one smash and pound robotic dude that doesn't give a fvck but he isn't. And that's why that speech to lex wasn't cringe to me at all.
only character in the movie who kicks his ass is his equally strong clone, who was basically being fed counters to his (Supes) every move.
He wasn't having any problems with the Kaiju before the Justice Gang stepped in, he took down the Engineer while simultaneously fending off Ultraman, he flattened the Raptors with no problem and he made short work of Ultraman once he was no longer being fed counters to his every move.
He escaped the pull of a black hole.
Only issue I have with his version is his reaction speed which wasnt portrayed as well as Cavill's Supes. I'm sure in other appearances he'll rack up more feats too.
SOZINN: This Superman was the weakest to ever to be released on screen, there's no way this weakling is not getting cooked by characters like Doomsday or Darkseid. Assuming he hit Guy Gardener in that building when he was asked to make a movie, Guy would have mopped the floor with him. There's absolutely no way Green Lantern who has watched Superman for 3 years and knows what he can do will challenge an angry Superman like that unless he didn't rate him.
Also you have to understand that Ultraman in this movie is not Superman's equal. He's a dumbed down version of Superman, Lex Luthor only said he's as stupid as Superman out of spite so beating him is no feat. Lex mentioning a few moves that have to be entered into a computer before sent to his brain is what enables this empty vessel to not only mop the floor with Superman but almost kill him Superman had to go back to get an ample dosage of the Sun only to get whooped again. Oh and if not for metamorpho, dude would have been swallowed whole by a black hole.
Corenswet is no way the weakest Superman iteration on screen when there was Brandon Routh, George Reeves, Dean Cain and Tyler Hoechlin from before Superman and Lois. Tom Welling got stronger with time over 10 seasons.
Corenswet's Supes is not the weakest by any means, he is actually in the upper echelon with the few feats he has and there are definitely more coming.
1) The first Superman movie, he did it 2) Clark Kent time travels in Smallville in several episodes 3) In the JL cartoon series, Superman did it too 4) Yes, Superman did time travel in the comics too
Flash is faster but both of them can time travel.
Time travel Superman was Pre-Crisis Superman and it's not considered as fully canon anymore. You can say Semi canon. Recent iterations of comic book Superman doesn't have that power so you'd be hard pressed to see any version of Superman on the big screen Time travel without any Mechanical or Magical aid.
This Superman was not weak either Blackmanta. Dude pulled himself out of a black hole. The only person that kicked his ass was Ultraman (his clone) and you know he was holding back cos whenever he finds out you can tank punches he ragdolls you. Did it against the Engineer, did it against Ultraman too.
You people can talk about the plot and story all you want but leave the power scaling out of it, there was nothing wrong with it, the portrayal was accurate.
BlackManta: This is my biggest problem with James Gunn’s Superman.
He’s the weakest Superman I’ve ever seen.
The way Superman gets captured so easily in this movie bothers me. Yes, he’s vulnerable to Kryptonite—but it's not that easy to render him powerless. The Man Of Steel would definitely fight back when facing a life-threatening situation.
For comparison, look at how CW Superman in a similar situation, reacted to Kryptonite:
Can y'all stop with his power scaling stuff? Kryptonite is literally a plot device for Superman writers and they have used it differently to suit the story they want to tell.
Sometimes Kryptonite is very Dangerous to Superman and ordinary humans like Batman and silly robots like Metallo can stand a chance against him while in some cases Superman has built up a resistance to it where he can tank it and shrug it off like when he destroyed every Kryptonite in the world or when he ate one like it was a doughnut.
ValeeLove: you never see anything. One at a time. Gimmicks first, then storylines will follow. By that time your eyes will be opened to see how bad wrestling has been promoted for years.
Bro has finally entered his villain arc with this promo. What should we call you sir? Anti-StoMicks?
Devvy4: We had games like that last season that our opponent back the bus and rodrygo played fully 90 minutes yet his impact wasn't felt, with a good striker like Gonzalo who is good with his head, we could have simply supplied him with crosses for him to head it in, just like how we saw during the CWC tournament.
Rodrygo is always everything untill he plays, Alonso isn't stupid to leave him on the bench.
Bro last season Rodrygo was on the RW armed with mediocre tactics. Xabi obviously prefers him in the LW but just chose to ride on Vini.
It's still the first match of the season sha so let's not jump into any conclusions, you and me both. Let's just watch it all play out
Kaycee7: So, I take it most of you didn't like the Superman movie. Been reading different opinions from the past pages from very scathing to downright ludicrous.
Just going to keep observing events unfold.
I saw it twice when it was in theaters and I loved it both times. I don't think they have a good idea about the power scaling most of them are complaining about in the movie. The Costumes they are also complaining about are comic book accurate.
Plot was above average IMO but to each his own. I no get strength to argue about that one.
Devvy4: We clearly lacked a presence in the box and we struggled because of that, even mbappe and guler clearly struggled to break the defence even tho they played well. I still insist that rodrygo wouldn't have done nothing because he does very little most time but people like you and some other Madrid fans simply believe he'll do better than Vini because he is shit on the RW.
Oversimplifying our issues in that match to just "lacking a player in the box" is very naive of you bro. You could put Prime Raul there in the box and we wouldn't still score if the other issues like quick passing, runs and movement are neglected.
Vini did well defensively in that match but he was very poor going forward and he kept ignoring Carreras overlaps which would have led to some cutbacks and chaos atleast. Rodrygo wouldnt have, Rodrygo is also a master of one touch passing and movement and that's what Mbappe needed in that match. Adding Gonzalo would also have been a huge boost but definitely Rodrygo would have brought something better than what Vini was doing there.
SOZINN: Yes, when you're called out on your hypocrisy the light of your common sense goes dim, you become blind and you can't comprehend simple words. I completely understand, it doesn't mean what has to be said won't be said.
What's my hypocrisy? You were laughing at someone else's long quote explaining his stance, then you go right ahead to make your own long quote again to explain your own stance.
So again where is my hypocrisy? Hating has warped your brain dude.
oyaskii: Special.... Special.... Masterpiece of a show... 💐💐....
We are unbelievably so back....but this one that Netflix didn't put a return date, make them no go give am the "Arcane" treatment, whereby the show debuts in freaking 2029! 😭😭
andrewbaba44: Xabi no rate rodrygo ,you can see Brahim diaz started over him ,you saw the few minutes at the CWC too
even mastantuono over him too
How you go rate Brahim but you no go rate Rodrygo. It doesn't make sense. I don't think rating is the issue here.
pu7pl3: The only logical thing I can fathom to be the cause is that the club has probably communicated to Xabi that they are willing to sell him if the right price comes. That's why all the rumors have been going round despite Rodrygo insisting he doesn't want to leave. So he'll probably still be in this limbo till the transfer window closes.
Devvy4: Rodrygo won't have done anything in that game, people are now beginning to make him look like a God because he scored in the last game friendly game, meanwhile his stat this year has been horrible.
I don't have a problem with vini sitting on the bench, but Gonzalo should come in for him and play the number9 while mbappe plays the lwf
Gonzalo could come in too but don't say Rodrygo would have done nothing in that match. That match needed quick passing and alot of movement because of that suicidal low block and Rodrygo could offer that better than Vini.
jpmoriarti: I don't really understand what happened with Rodrygo. Perhaps he is training poorly or what exactly is the issue. He fell out of favour with Ancelloti but his situation hasn't really changed with Xabi Alonso either.

samistry: It's really obvious that long promos aren't part of Jordynne Grace strengths. Why do they persist she fit into the WWE mould of long written promos? Accentuate the Strengths, hide the weakness as Cornette says. How was Blake Monroe able to get a contract for no physicality until the PPV? I don't get Lainey Reid. She made her debut undermining Jacy Jayne, now she's trying to cozy up to her.
Lainey has seen the light, Jacy is too dominant 🤭🤭🤭
