Shameless country, instead of him to resign immediately he is boring us with epistle and making excuses.... |
estheroye:hello estheroye, so that u don't sell at a loss, pls kindly note that 700g fishes are not melange. Regards |
gloriousfarms:go to Sabina at abbatior. The last time I checked it was sold for #500/kg. Regards |
yomiknows:most welcome sir |
yomiknows:hello bro, yes 1 bucket is too much for 100kg. they will usually collect money for 1 bucket from you, so dont bother about that. u must understand that even though CP content is high in Blood meal, it has a poor amino acid balance. for e.g it is low in methionine. and also, note that blood meal is not palatable and can cause water pollution if included at a high volume. this is why its inclusion has been limited of some sort and u have regulations guiding its use in some countries. if u can manage with some of its deficiencies, it is an excellent source of protein. i hope this helps? regards |
wilbro:hi bro, this is what i have; Fish meal (Danish) N850 Soya meal (Toasted, dehulled) N127 Groundnut cake meal N120 Corn (Yellow) N120 regards. |
yomiknows:Hello bro, the feed millers in agege usually prefer the wet blood meal for convenience sake. Except of course you can provide the dry blood meal which is also available at agege as well. However, if you want to use the wet blood meal, you need to include at least 2 bucket/1000kg. if you need the dry blood meal, just go across the road, look beside the estate, you will see a place where goats and rams are being sold, walk down the road and you will see blood meal been processed from wet to dry. The name of the dealer is mr lawal if I’m not mistaken. For 1000kg feed, the recommended inclusion of blood meal is between 5% -6%. It cost between 100/kg to 120/kg. I hope this helps? Regards. |
aoladayo:to be honest and with due respect to vital and top feed, what u have achieved so far is mainly due to d coppens and ala aqua u used at some stage. I prefer u use vital or top when finishing and not at an early stage. For those ones nor performing, continue with alla aqua for dem and observe d change. Regards |
aoladayo:nice one. I guess its another lesson that u can achieve between average of 300g- 500g in two months. However , which of d floating feeds did u use? And as for d smaller once, sort them into a separate pond, get livstovit and aqua pro, mix with their feed, and feed dem with it. What is ur target size? Note that not all ur fishes will grow to d same size . regards |
MAAF:with that pond dimension, between 1600 and 2000 will be fine. regards |
robonski15:I think i'm being misquoted here. I asked if its a sort of cabal since it was not announced so those who want to can attend. U have since cleared d air on that. I don't expect any issues in this regard. Ur effort is highly appreciated. Regards |
robonski15:noted op. regards |
wisefizz:let me try to explain the sentence in a way you can better understand. there exist an inverse relationship between temperature and dissolved oxygen. so as temperature increases, normally oxygen decreases. however during the day, photosynthetic activities of plants ensures oxygen availability. at night, oxygen level drops primarily due to reduced or lack of photosynthetic activities of plants. hence humans and ur fishes rely on limited available oxygen which can be easily depleted. the solubility of oxygen also reduces in warm water and as salt levels increases. that is why oxygen level is higher in cold water than warm water. i will advise you get a water thermometer (quite cheap) and a dissolved oxygen meter. even if you are using stove or coal to warm your hatchery, you can always monitor your water temperature to be sure you are on track. i hope this helps. regards |
excelsiorfarm:yes bro i get, my bad...apologies |
excelsiorfarm:hello bro, i sincerely apologize as i never intended it to be directed to u. as a matter of fact i wanted to corroborate your inquest into y it was not announced, i guess i still need to learn how to use this quote function on nairaland...lol. i dont have any issues or worry with cabal or not...just as u have said, my path is clear and defined...just backing ur inquest... no hard feelings towards all...regards |
excelsiorfarm:please is this a sort of cabal of some sort? no initial announcement prior to the meeting. anyways congrats on the development! |
donnaheff:go to poultry support for portable aerators, for all sizes go to kingdom aquarium or go to mr fish stores. regards. |
Greatxter:hello ma, i believe we spoke earlier today. No cost cutting in fry feeding. artemia yes IF YOU CAN GET the original. A lot of fakes out there. i understand coppen is scarce or not even available now. skretting has a product in a can just like artemia its sold for 13k here in lag. if u can get that very good. if not, get skretting 0.7mm grind into smooth powder, add a lil water and make to form little balls like swallow. drop at the corners of ur vats and watch as your fries feed. NOTE, dont make too big a swallow so as not to pollute ur water. i hope this helps. regards. |
ijababa:you are most welcome sir. for more livstovit go to mogaji agege just before abbatior and ask for amara. u should get there. she sells only big bottles. regards |
AdeoyeAdekunle:08059589002 |
ijababa:Hello sir, go to abattoir in agege and check Sabina or poultry support, you will find them there. Regards |
dayborlar:hello sir, you can reach me on 08059589002. regards |
Greatxter:its between 1500 to 2500 depending on the farm and specie. regards |
Greatxter:oops! My bad, so sorry ma. I actually don't have details for Abj. I'm for lag and Ogun. Oya Abj comrades pls kindly help out...regards |
excelsiorfarm:thanks bro. Its a pleasure |
Hormohtoondeh:if u cant get in akure, maybe u can ask somone to help u get in lagos and send to you. (just a suggestion) |
Greatxter:where is ur location sir? |
Greatxter:let me add to what mr excelsiorfarm has said on catfish smoking. Firstly if u have fishes fine, if u dont have u will buy melange size fish. (ideal size 300g to 400g). You will have to stun them with salt either u put them in sack or u cover them in a basin (they will dance alanta, azonto and shakiti bobo till they yamutu..lol). Then, u de-gut them (remove their intestines) and you wash. Washing is very important if u don’t want them to come out dark or dirty due to blood stains. Brine in salt and water solution or any other flavor you want for about 10 or 15 minutes. Depending on ur type of oven and the dryness or crunchiness you want to attain, drying in the oven could take between 8hrs to 3 days. Note that for maximum dryness and crunchiness avoid excessive heat and smoke not to spoil the taste. Maintain low heat for effective dryness and zero moisture. N:b you can make a simple fish smoker by using a drum and welding circular racks in layers in the drum. The coal or wood heating chamber will also be carved out at the bottom. Or you can make the types abokis use in making barbeque or u can go for a more sophisticated one. Smoking kiln are everywhere now. (na ur capital go determine). The standard pack used to be 1k (3 in a pack) but now that price of fish has increased, that same pack should be between 1200 and 1500. You can have packs as per customer demand and preference. One interesting thing about this venture is that, you don’t have to have a farm or catfish stock. Just ensure you have different farms where u can source mélange fish whenever you need. Regards. |
excelsiorfarm:you are absolutely right bro, price varies. though in lag and ogun axis its between N1500 to N2500. i have some for sale at the moment you can contact me. regards. |
