Veggieseedies:Its possible he is not. A problem that is properly defined can be easily tackled. The concern of everyone, especially Ijaws who have suffered massive cheating together with environmental destruction ought to know better. |
Ijoh:Guy, I dont think Igbos are fighting you. Your concern should be how can we control our resources. Are you aware that Nigeria is building massive pipeline to Europe. Are you aware that the income from this will be used to develop the North? Think about it, except you are just pretending to be Ijaw. |
The Fulanis are not up to 10m. It is for this reason they attach themselves to the malleable Hausas to tag themselves, Hausa-Fulani. But the BBC documentary has shown clearly that the Hausa are even fighting back now. Our prayers are with the Hausas to get back their lands and go back o their farming. They must not vote another Fulani man in PDP or Tinubu who completely aligns with the Fulanis in the destroying other ethnic groups. We must come together and vote Peter Obi. Tinubu is a Fulani stooge. He does not even love his Yoruba people. Ever seen how he treated Baba Adesanya that brought him from US to come and become Governor in Lagos state. This was why the righteous and incorrigible Yinka Odumakin withstood him. Support OBI/DATTI. |
Pacesetterz:The people killing indiscriminately are FG and State governments contractors. On the one hand, is our gallant ESN who are majorly after terrorists in our forests. The FG not wanting to show that they are partial by sending in military, they decided to recruit people from among our people and the SS region. Eventually, it will escalate just like Sierra Leone. But we dont have choice, this is how the FG responded. So, its not our people doing the killings, its FG asymmetrical warfare. |
Fake news. They dont want Nigerians to continue to ask Buhari to ask the Service Chief to go. If it is innocent Igbo Youths, they will not censor the picture, but when they claim kill Muhammedan terrorists, they wont be able to show their faces. |
zerobrain:Obi did not say this. Fake! |
Pacesetterz:It will eventually settle itself. Its not going to be a smooth transition. However, its better than to remain with terrorists who want to kill your people and take your land. |
NuclearWinter:Supported. Let the Igbos go. They will suffer with the oil, human capital and their huge survival capability. |
Greenwood18:The phrase "religion of peace" was coined by satanic Western liberals. There is nothing like peace in Islam. Its a religion of sword and Jihad. |
dalass:The ONLY way to stop Jihad is to expose the LIES of Islam. Have you noticed that the Islam for Muslim section is very dry. Before now, that place used to be very active. Now, Muslims are scared of posting even in the section created to protect them as usual from scrutiny. Guys no longer post their false teachings because they will be exposed. If we could take it beyond Nairaland, into other platforms, that will be the nail in the coffin of dying Islam in Nigeria. |
Below are the Satanic verses. "By the Star when it sets, your comrade does not err, nor is he deceived; nor does he speak out of (his own) desire..." and when he came to the words: Have you thought upon al-Lat and al-Uzza and Manat, the third, the other? Satan cast on his tongue, because of his inner debates and what he desired to bring to his people, the words: "These are the high flying cranes; verily their intercession is accepted with approval" The female deities of al-Lat and al-Uzza and Manat were praised by Muhammad as seen in the Satanic verses. He later said it was satan that influenced him to praise them. ("Tabari's History", pages 107 - 113, translated by W. M. Watt, published by SUNY, N.Y., USA.) |
etrouble:They were not acting for the Church. They were explorers looking for resources. The Islamic slave trade which is still ongoing in some Muslim countries is far worse. Till today, Saudi Arabia is still buying black slaves like Bilal, the black slave of Muhammad. |
Northerners coming to the SW are mostly terrorists. The North is sending their militiamen to the SW in preparation for civil war just in case Nigeria divides. |
BATs legacy in Lagos is Area Boys/Urchins. Even if you live in Lekki, it does not stop you from encountering them. They are always loitering in traffic with weapons. |
What would happen when Islam becomes a minority religion? Jihad will stop Child marriages will reduce Illiteracy and ignorance will reduce Women will be empowered Society will flourish due to merit based system Nobody will be Dhimmi (second class) again Democracy will flourish |
planetx:The UK was protecting him. Unfortunately, the place is now under Islamic rule, so they might have compromise his security. Ask Hatun Tash why UK police keep arresting her at Speakers Corner. |
etrouble:Lies. Bring your proof. |
There reason Islam does not tolerate scrutiny is because it is built on Lies. A lot of violence is required to sustain it. As we speak, the house of Islam is falling like a pack of card. 24% of Muslim youths are leaving Islam. Dr Bilal said "if no constructive step is taken, it is going to be an avalanche." |
mascot87:Religion extremist that kills people is a Muslim thing. |
The Satanic verses were real. Muhammad received verses from Satan when he was reciting Quran Chapter 53. There are evidence to prove it. |
madridguy:I dont think people need to stop writing about Islam. In fact, most the things people are writing are straight from Islamic scholares. Ordinary folks like you do not know. As Dr Bilal Philip, the 24.7% is made up of mostly people who longer follow Islam but are pretending to be Muslims. Did you notice how Nairaland front page was dry of new Islamic thread yesterday being Friday? Its going to be an avanlanche of apostasy! |
Islam strongly opposes idolatry or associating partners to Allah. In contrast, Muhammad's people, the Arab believed that God had partners. Three of these partners are even mentioned in the Qur'an, namely: al-Lat, al-Uzza and al-Manat. Each had a shrine in separate places not far from Mecca in Arabia, where Muhammad was born and began. The Arabs even considered these Deities to be daughters of God! According to early historical accounts of Muslim scholars, Muhammad longed for better relations with his people after they rejected him and were hostile to him due his preaching. It was at this point that Quran Chapter 53 was revealed. The satanic verses were two verses after 19 and 20 which were part of the original revelations but was abrogated. It reads: Have ye thought upon al-Lat and al-Uzza, And Manat, the third, the other? (Q53:19-20) These were then followed by these verses These are the exalted cranes (intermediaries) Whose intercession is to be hoped for However, theses later verses were removed because they were cast on Muhammads lip by Satan during the recital of Chapter 53: 19-20. |
delzbaba:It is meant to get them thinking about their religion. |

Is there evidence to support these claim? This event is well documented in early Islamic writings. However, two we will use the writings of Ibn Ishaq and Al-Tabari to show that the event truly happened. Moreover, several Hadiths support the event's occurrence. AL-TABARI RECORD OF THE INCIDENT ("Tabari's History", pages 107 - 113, translated by W. M. Watt, published by SUNY, N.Y., USA.) The messenger of God was eager for the welfare of his people and wished to effect a reconciliation with them in whatever ways he could. It is said that he wanted to find a way to do this, and what happened was a follows. (170) Ibn Humayd - Salamah-Muhammad b. Ishaq - Yazid b. Ziyad al-Madani - Muhammad b. Ka'b al-Qurazi: When the messenger of God saw how his tribe turned their backs on him and was grieved to see them shunning the message he had brought to them from God, he longed in his soul that something would come to him from God which would reconcile him with his tribe. With his love for his tribe and his eagerness for their welfare it would have delighted him if some of the difficulties which they made for him could have been smoothed out, and he debated with himself and fervently desired such an outcome. Then God revealed 171)"By the Star when it sets, your comrade does not err, nor is he deceived; nor does he speak out of (his own) desire..." and when he came to the words: Have you thought upon al-Lat and al-Uzza and Manat, the third, the other? Satan cast on his tongue, because of his inner debates and what he desired to bring to his people, the words: "These are the high flying cranes; verily their intercession is accepted with approval. (172) When Quraysh heard this, they rejoiced and were happy and delighted at the way in which he spoke of their gods, and they listened to him, while the Muslims, having complete trust in their prophet in respect of the messages which he brought from God, did not suspect him of error, illusion, or mistake. When he came to the prostration, having completed the surah, he prostrated himself and the Muslims did likewise, following their prophet, trusting in the message which he had brought and following his example. Those polytheists of the Quraysh and others who were in the mosque (173) likewise prostrated themselves because of the reference to their gods which they had heard, so that there was no one in the mosque, believer orunbeliever, who did not prostrate himself. The one exception was al-Walid b. Al-Mughirah, who was a very old man and could not prostrate himself; but he took a handful of soil from the valley in his hand and bowed over that. Then they all dispersed from the mosque. The Quraysh left delighted by the mention of their gods which they had hared, saying,"Muhammad has mentioned our goes in the most favorable way possible, stating in his recitation that they are the high flying cranes and that their intercession is received with approval. THE RECORD OF IBN ISHAQ ABOUT THE INCIDENT. ("The Life of Muhammad", pages 165 – 167, translation of Ibn Ishaq's "Sirat Rasulallah" by A. Guillaume published by Oxford, London, England.) "Now the apostle was anxious for the welfare of his people, wishing to attract them as far as he could. It has been mentioned that he longed for a way to attract them, and the method he adopted is what Ibn Hamid told me that Salama said M. B. Ishaq told him from Yazid b. Ziyad of Medina from M. B. Ka'b al-Qurazi: When the apostle saw what his people turned their backs on him and he was pained by their estrangement from what he brought them from God he longed that there should come to him from God a message that would reconcile his people to him. Because of his love for his people and his anxiety over them it would delight him if the obstacle that made his task so difficult could be removed; so that he meditated on the project and longed for it and it was dear to him. Then God sent down "by the star when it sets your comrade errs not and is not deceived, he speaks not from his own desire," and when he reached His words "Have you thought of al-Lat and al-Uzza and Manat the third, the other (5), Satan, when he was mediating upon it, and desiring to bring it (sc. reconciliation) to his people, put upon his tongue "these are the exalted Gharaniq (1) whose intercession is approved. (2)" When Quraysh heard that, they were delighted and greatly pleased at the way in which he spoke of their gods and they listened to him; while the believers were holding that what their prophet brought them from their Lord was true, not suspecting a mistake or a vain desire or a slip, and when he reached the prostration (3) and the end of the Sura in which he prostrated himself the Muslims prostrated themselves when their prophet prostrated confirming what he brought and obeying his command, and the polytheists of Quraysh and others who were in the mosque prostrated when they heard the mention of their gods, so that everyone in the mosque believer and unbeliever prostrated, except al-Walid b. Al-Mughira who was an old man who could not do so, so he took a handful of dirt from the valley and bent over it. Then the people dispersed and Quraysh went out, delighted at what had been said about their gods, saying, "Muhammad has spoken of our gods in splendid fashion. He alleged in what he read that they are the exalted Gharaniq whose intercession is approved." THE TAFSIR OF ZAMAKHSHARI ON THE INCIDENCE ("The Quran and its Exegesis, by Helmut Gatje, pages 53 - 55, published by Oneworld, Oxford, England) "The faithful rendering of the revelation Zamakhshari on Sura 22:52/51 We have never sent any messenger of prophet before thee, but that Satan cast into his fancy, when he was fancying; but God annuls what Satan casts, then God confirms His signs - surely God is All-knowing, All-wise. .. The occasion of the sending down of the present verse is the following: As the members of the tribe of the messenger of God turned away from him and took their stand against him and his relatives also opposed him and refused to be guided by what he brought to them, then, as a result of the extreme exasperation concerning their estrangement and as a result of the eager desire and longing that they be converted to Islam, the messenger of God sheltered the wish that nothing would come down to him that could make them shy away. Perhaps he should have been able to use that for the purpose of converting them and causing them to be dissuaded from their error and obstinacy. Now this wish continued in him until the sura called "The Star" (that is, Sura 53) came down. At that time he found himself with this wish in his heart regarding the members of his tribe. Then he began to recite, and when he came to God's words "and Manat, the third, the other" (Sura 53:20), Satan substituted something in accordance with the wish which the messenger of God had sheltered, that is, he whispered something to him which would enable the messenger to announce his wish. In an inadvertent and misleading manner, his tongue hurried on ahead of him, so that he said: "These (goddesses are the) exalted cranes. Their intercession (with God) is to be hoped for."...Yet, the messenger of God was not clear at this point until the protection of God "isma" reached him and he then became attentive again. Some say that Gabriel drew his attention to it, or that Satan himself spoke those words and brought them to the people's hearing. As soon as the messenger of God prostrated (for prayer) as the end of the sura, all who were present did it with him and felt pleased (that is, the unbelievers felt pleased that their goddesses had been accepted as intercessors with God). CONCLUSION The evidence proves that Muhammad spoke the Satanic verses. The two early biographers of Muhammad's life detail the story. There are references to it in the Hadith. Finally, there is specific references to it in the Quran. It may make Muslims uncomfortable that Satan puts words in their prophets mouth during his revelations. How sure are we that some other satanic verses were not spoken into the Quran without been detected? Can Muslim still claim perfect preservation of allahs word when satanic puts his own word into allahs own? |
Cognitivereason:Your opinion on Ortom is well acknowledged. I do not wish to give an opinion on his general performance since I dont have relevant data to base my opinion on. However, on security, my opinion is that he had done well. |
Cognitivereason:Of all the 36 governors whose people are facing existential threat from a deliberately orchestrated security situation , only Ortom and Akeredolu took steps to protect their people. Both governors deserve adulation for this. |
AntiChristian:You are confusing yourself and your readers. We know that verses and sometimes chapters of the Quran were written on different objects available at the time the revelations came to the prophet. Some people wrote them down on bones, some on barks, some on paper. However, majority memorized them. It was never in book form until Zaid bn Thabit put everything together in a book form under the commandment of Caliph Uthman. So, Quran was never in book form in the beginning. In fact, some revelation came as the situation demands. Example, when Mohammed wanted to have Zainab, the wife of Zaid. A convenient revelation came abolishing adoption so he could have her. |
Cognitivereason:If Ortom had taken this step immediately the axis of evil declared his state as their grazing reserve, he would have been seen as been adversarial. Now, it is clear that the genocide has been established, the supporters of evil wont have any more thing to say even if he arms the outfit with advanced weapons. Ortom and Akeredolu are the only Governors with balls. In summary, it was tactical and never late. |
AntiChristian:Lolzz. Your thoughts is not a book. This is classical Islamic logic. So, you are saying Jesus Injil was in his thoughts and not a physical book? Is this your point? |
Governor Ortom is a patriot. He has defended his people even though the military constitution did everything to emasculate the governors while empowering the Federal government controlled by a section of country. He should work within the constitution to get guns for the security outfit. |
AntiChristian:I am confused here. How can you call it a book when it unwritten? Is this Islamic logic? |
AntiChristian:How can a book be unwritten? Is this not a contradiction? |
