Normally, a public offer is priced at a discount to market price, to encourage participation, why is Sterliing offer at N7 well above ₦5.05, what am i missing here ??

Those guys are only interested in growing their personal wealth.

Yeah, i'm aligned with you on this one, its like a cliche everywhere you turn to, people dishing advice to newbies to get dividend growth stocks citing banks, thats a very dangerous advice simply because there is no basis for it....if you are looking to turn your money in short to medium term, it makes no sense except you know what you're doing...if you want to park the money for 5 to 10 years, then sure you can do that and enjoy dividends when they come and some capital appreciation along with some dilution....but certainly not a vehicle for newbies looking for short to medium term investments...

Typical Total Timeline
From announcement to trading: about 4–6 weeks
2–4 weeks: subscription period
1–2 weeks: allotment and crediting
1–3 days: shares start trading
Its important to know your timelines so that you can plan ahead..for instance, i think we will hit a low ~2.4 around sep 1st week for wave a then potentiallly 3.2 region in oct 2nd week;...depending on the structure, the asset can retest that 2.4 low again and even break it before the real really starts ...so do the maths
someone asked whether to enter with RI or wait and purchase lower...there is no way that the ri will not put you ahead in the mid to long term....

UBA at 50 & below
Dan cement at 510 & below
Presco at 1350 & below
NAHCO at 103 & below
Aradel at 505 & below

Buy in trenches don't go all in at once.

This doesn't even make any sense!! i get it, the plan is for dividend growth, there also has to be a balance with capital appreciation.

In July, Oando delivered 52% in 5 days from 41.7 t0 63.8 in what was an unprecedented move, this move would have triggered a lot of investors, new and experienced to load up on the asset prematurely hoping that the rally would continue....kudos to those that caught the move and sold before current levels or whose strategy is to hold for the long haul. We basically stayed out because we did not see the signs in the chart adn where we can, we try to catch the best entry. Regardless of your strategy, your entry determines your profitability and is KING!
nowin August, 3 months after, we are challenging those lows again with current price at 49, the truth is the 41.7 low will be taken out, even if for an houror two, to trigger folks downwards, collect liquidity ,ferment confusion in the market and ultimately make investors question and abandon their plans, especially for those that got in at those levels..... But this level is exactly where the fun should begin.....
We have waited for this time, the structure and setup looks more matured and ready. we enter as soon as that level is broken. Coming week leading to sept will be very pivotal week in the market.DYOR

The other thing i wanted to point out is that as an investor, no matter what other people say, if you don't have conviction or not comfortable, jsut leave it....its not force, there will be so many other opportunities...its your money...you will ultimately be the one to press enter on that buy screen.....this is more for the newbie...don;t ever feel like you are missing in profit, if the market goes and leave you so be it......that profit you think you will make, could also be losses.....All you need is that one/two trades that will change things for you........
Lastly, the reason why best entry + conviction is important is that you can scale your entry, say you have 1M to invest, you can either purchase 5 stocks for 200k each or go all in on one asset that you have conviction and entry is correct....the outcomes wil be dramatically different. in many casses, the 1M if well deployed will out perform the 5 stocks of 200k thats only if the entry is correct....and you can reach take profit quicker to partial out.......scaling is where the money is but its only for when you are informed,.

Meristem is very okay, if you have to open an account with them do so.n o issues.... The only concern i have with them is when they have to do an upgrade which lasts for a few days, thats when stuff stop working temporarily...which i believe is when they are transfering update to production environment.....besides that i find it quite intuitive....

Morgan Capital recommend entry into Aradel @500 and exit at 750.

I don't think there is road for aradel from 500 to 750, i cant find it on the chart.....A break of 550 high will open room for 650 but breaking the 6 months sloped resistance will not be enough to take out the 730 high.........also the structure is not complete + 6 months is not enough to form the kind of base for this asset in the current range. We still need to range a bit....it will be quite boring at first.....what we are looking at is an orchestrated buying and selling by the composite investor....they will keep buying and selling until it gets to the desired location and best average entry price.....

Ci leasing will trade sideways in an ending diagonal say 9.5-6.5-10.5-7.5 before breaking to 14…..afterwards down to 8…….dyor

Since the previous chairman of Aradel Ladi Jadesimi retired, the stock has been almost on full offer above ₦520. In fact, the total offer is above ₦4.5 billion compared to bid around ₦400 million.

Jadi has two daughters. One is the CEO of LADOL, the other is a socialite abroad.

There's been a significant buying of Aradel shares by employees of Aradel or people connected to them in recent times.

What are the chances that Ladi has put all or majority of his shares on offer to the public, with a plan to distribute the proceeds as he likes when he passes on?

If it isn't Ladi, then who is selling such a huge quantity and why? The company has performed well in the past two years from their financial statements, so is there something inherently wrong with the company that people are not yet seeing?


With such a huge offer compared to bid, how long will it take for price to fall another 10-20% so one can buy in for the long term?

While this play is still feasible, there is still a risk involved that EL may have topped, if that be the case then, the following can be expected 13.15 -15 to 17-18 to 11. Personally, i will be selling on the way to 18...that is the best risk free play here....DYOR and protect your money. EL will still touch sub 10 before YE.
Update: EL headed for 30 -35......staying in..& watching
