Bros, please leave Obidients out of this as you don't even know if the guy himself is also an Obidient!
Note: I have Ellah because for me it's a risk worth taking as I said earlier....head office or no head office. cool
NFA/DYOR
in the past, i have bought many nyse stocks that i don't even know what the company logo looks like let alone what they do...most delivered.....today, as an entity, we tend to do some digging before we publish, but to be honest, as a trader, what is really important is to know how the money is entering /flowing into the market..its all demand and supply ..it eliminates emotions from the choice variables and opens up more opportunities.......when it becomes known tha the composite investor is taking a position and trying to move based on certain footprints on the chart (only the charts - as its difficult to hide money in the market) then i'm also in...

I am new here. I used to own Nigeria stocks in the 90s before I Japa in the late 90s. Recently I tried to look up the stocks. Majority of the companies are no longer listed. those that are still listed no longer have my name, I am assuming people in my former office who knows I am no longer in the country sold the stocks in collusion with the brokers. I don't have stock brokers at the time. I mostly bought them at IPO.
Now that there is much transparency and ability to monitor my stock with APPs, I am skeptical as most of the stocks doing well in the 90s are no longer listed or have very low values eg, Dicon salt, Nigeria brewery, PZ, Cadbury, SCOA, UAC etc

I returned cautiously with about 800k in March/April that has grown by about 15% excluding expenses. I am however very skeptical of how long most of these companies will last before they run into trouble just like their predecessors.

I am responding to you because of your response to the guys taking about 10 to 15 years investment objective which is what I have in mind.
i saw this tweet and thought this was hilarious, someone bought oando 20 yrs ago and he still in a lost as at today, is that even possible.....

UNIVINSURE looks undervalued with improving earnings and strong balance sheet metrics. The recent earnings jump and favorable technicals suggest upside potential

Sterling is delivering on its “purpose-driven banking” strategy — delivering strong earnings with meaningful social initiatives. The Q1 results reinforce its position among Nigeria’s leading mid-tier banks. The upcoming audited financials will be pivotal for confirming sustainability and validating management’s strategy.

Omatek Ventures Plc remains a trailblazer in Nigeria’s ICT sector, with a legacy of innovation and a diversified product portfolio.

John Holt remains a classic “asset-light but opportunity-heavy” industrial conglomerate. Its value is underpinned by tangible assets and a diversified business, but the current earnings gap and working capital strain pose serious near-term risks. Recovery depends heavily on operational reboot in its core leasing business, prudent financial management, and improved macro stability.

i find quite intriguing the chart of ngrconsmrgds, last week as it spiked 37% (up and down) like a bear trap...when i looked closely, it was driven by the sell offs in nnfm, dangsugar and pz mainly..all other assets in this sector are in a rally. it will be interesting to see what happerns in the coming month in this sector since that spike in the 10min timeframe is actually a five wave structure.

Your opinion that 9.20 is wave 5, the max wave before correction?
i know what youre thinking using the word max, you have to understand that this asset is still in a wider range so a lot will still take place, wave 3 can be 3 of 5 to make wave 1, it can alos be 3 of an extension in that case after a 4, then we have 1-2-3-4-5 again to make 1...there are so many ways it can play. But we have to focus on what we have seen, structure, subdivision, construction and intricacies. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/55321604?key=5228b3e0f6448847ee90eeddcf3259a1

We will consider the idea that five waves ended at 9.20 for wave 3 and we are in a wave 4, we then expect Ellahlakes to make a final push to make wave 5 before the correction commences.
https://ewnation.com/ellahlakes-will-bulls-yet-continue/
With the key level at ~₦58.15 broken, there is sufficient evidence that NB will continue to wave 3 extreme around ~₦102 region.

It’s perfectly fine if your goal is to invest for 10 years—there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem lies in thinking that just because you choose to do things one way, that automatically makes it the only valid approach.

The world is much bigger than whatever experience you believe you’ve accumulated. Not everyone aims to hold for a decade. Some are comfortable with capital appreciation while actively managing risk. Others, like us, identify stocks with potential—just like we did when Ellah Lakes was below ₦3—set a target exit, and if our calculations are correct, we hit our goal.

Must everyone be your kind of investor? Must we all see the world in black and white? Think deeply about these questions.
Bro una dey tryoo for ngx, buy and hold for 10 years...chai with all these exchange fluctuation, are you sure you will not be back to square one or even bel0w....anyways just kidding, ten years is a lot of time for very good capital appreciation. and its usually a safe strategy. Depending on the kind of investor that you are, if you are a leave it and forget it then that great...buit if you are leave it and tweek it over time says yearly, you will often find that you are learning a lot along the way and will find ways to better optimise the portfolio for greater appreciation. Point is learn as you goo is better.

EllahLakes did not do maximum gain today. It reached a max price of N7.70 but closed at N7.64
think EL will be sideways between 6.1 and 7.6 for the most of july before continuation ...dont think i will violate 8.8 which is 261% of (1)....dyor initially didnt expect violate 5.5 - 5.7 but its 7.6 now....

Amazing how price respects technical levels. Good entry point for CI Leasing with minimal downside potential
great!!...you're right, many times it does ....like magic, sleight of hand or planned on purpose...it respects a lot of other things too as you cant base your judgement just on basic technical levels...

Good reads for people that may be interested...i think market is still bullish for the week, next week likely bulls softpedal..dont think oando will deliver in short term, think japaul still a good buy but correction not over yet
This asset made loss but its a good candidate for a turnaround on low liquidity
https://ewnation.com/is-deepcap-worthy-of-note/
we think that japaul is not completed its correction, however current price is still a good entry

Thank God for the market today, i believe a lot of people would have seen the needle shift in their portfolio, many assets have touched 100% this year alone and counting.....if you missed out or did not take full advantage of this, many more will still do 100% in coming months.....insurance stocks have not even moved yet, these are all setting up nicely....be proactive guys....

It is very interesting how history repeats itself in the financial markets, just like the waves are made up of fractals, we can see holistically monthly returns can also be loosely speculated somewhat. As a technical analyst, you have to be abreast of potential sources of information that can aid to weed out the biases. One of such articles that i find useful is this impressive article by Dr Ajibola Awolowo titled Lessons from 10 Years of Market Returns in which he referenced Mr Chidi Uzo's chart. I suggest folks read it too. Reason i bring it up is that everyone seems to be asking questions about when this rally will end and some fear beginning to creep, is this rally sustainable, will i get caught and stuff like...not investment advise but I still reference this article and i find it very valuable if you can read between the lines.

What Joy do Linkage derive issue bonus shares unnecessarily.
They did 1 for 5 bonus two years ago and now another bonus.

Insurance Companies are raising funds to meet capitalization.
Will this bonus stop them from raising funds in the near future?

Some companies are not afraid of bloated shares. It is dilutions and not good to shareholders in dividend payments
The bonus shares 1/5 have been priced in the current price of the asset

El lakes target 5.5 thereafter a pull back to about 4.9 region, asset could potentially make 8.9 before YE. interesting how this asset covered 70% in 18 days for a range that was for 480 days, that 3% of the time where the asset delivered 70% on top of a 98% period range, which is merely noise and people taking position. if this asset will sub 4 again no one can tell however it looks that will have to look higher for now......
