Since hospital will give us free diapers after delivery, I guess I'll just buy the size 2 & keep for now.
If they no give me plenty at hospital, we can always breeze to the mall anytime & buy some smaller size ie if baby won't fit into size 2 by then self.

At least now I have a clue of what to buy...anyone that says "from birth"!
The ones I saw were just on display up there & didn't have cartons for me to see any description. Some were so small a one year+ old child wouldn't fit in them while some were so big I started wondering how a newborn would be positioned in them safely with all the space. Was just confused.

I entered Walmart & got confused as to what to buy. Said let me ask first then go back.

1) Pls which size of Huggies am I supposed to start with immediately after delivery? Does Huggies have different brands & features like Pampers, and which is the best pls?

2) which baby wipe is the best or do I just buy any type of huggies wipe I see?

3) Pls which baby formula is the best to buy?
Am thinking of Aptamil (is that OK? or is there something much better we are supposed to use as I don't see the popular Nan here)

4)Also is baby formula different from baby milk cos I saw someone here saying her newborn baby is on formula without baby milk? (That was confusing).

5) Please which car seat are we supposed to buy & go to the hospital with during delivery?
Is it the regular car seat any child of any age can use or is there specific car seat for infants which one must start with for newborn, then buy another one in few months when LO is older.

I am actually keeping my preg away from my parent inlaw cos my mil will tell me not to tell my fil cos he will tell his house wife and use it to mock her own children cos her own daughters that has been married (one 8yrs the other 3yrs )has not been TTC. Then my mil will be unusually protective and scared of the unknown and will call me several times an later turn to say she used all her upkeep money to call me. She is just very controversial she might even tell me to move to her house cos my DH works offshore.
Someone that told me not to be going to my parents house too much of which I don't go there as such.

And I also want to surprise many people especially his immediate family cos my DH did hyena operation at age 10 so they are scared that he can't have children.
I know his siblings will be upset cos his elder brother did the same thing that's because he last his 2nd child at birth and the wife had 2miscarriages after then so it was a surprise to the family and I liked it.

This is my point exactly, if one has a cogent reason to hide her pregnancy from certain people, very well. Pls by all means do.
What I don't understand is the unnecessary need for some ladies to convert previously very close friends & folks who have always meant well for them, into "assumed temporary witches" just because they're now pregnant.

Funny enough, these kind of ladies are the same kind that'll expect you to rush down to their house bearing gifts worth hundreds of thousands immediately they deliver!

Naija is a very very diabolical place so sometimes you cant blame people for being cautious or secretive. Although some people take it to astronomical heights!

The fact is i have learnt not to allow such things bother me, because you really dont know the reason for the paranoia, for instance if someone has had a few issues getting or staying pregnant, they may not be soo inclined to broadcasting it and may prefer to wait till there is a live child at the end before the jubilation starts . Na their belle, and their pikin.

You can be generic in your responses, you dont have to give exact EDDs, sex or how many you are carrying if you dont want to.
However it is when people give answers assuming you are stupid that baffles me.

That baffles me too.

In my own case, the person in question was more like a close "monitoring spirit" in my life, but i didnt care or see it as an issue neither was I evasive towards her for one single day.

She would always call to ask for one thing or the other: advice, strategy... "how did you do this in your home; how do you & ur hubby handle this that etc; pls can you help me check when my free period is; pls if I want a baby boy first, how do I go about the sex selection etc..."
Yes we were close like that!

Infact every time then, she would call me up & be like..."Babe you're looking bigger in this pics, like say belle don enter".
And I'll honestly go..."Nne no o, belle no dey my agenda now o. But if i get belle you know say you must know now. I go tell you now".

So her funny act was just unnecessary; an experience in a whole new dimension & just had no justification whatsoever

Most times, even before I say for instance "Bae, I have this pain on my right buttocks when I stand to walk...", he'll just immediately cut in, tell me what is wrong with me including name, physiology & possible remedies . Infact I get Gynae for house lols

So we announce engagement with ring pictures, announce wedding with photoshoot and wedding IVs, sell aso ebi to our family and friends....and as soon as we become pregnant those same family and friends that bought our aso ebi suddenly become witches and wizards

It's very funny - Even a close friend you sacrifice alot for & go out of your way to do things for, someone you open heartedly & out of love gave your new top notch wedding gown to use for free during her wedding & she accepted it with a full dive without rejecting it for fear that there's witchcraft on it that will prevent the marriage will still come back & do the same thing to you; hide her pregnancy from you & when you eventually get to know after several months (sometime in may), she'll tell you she's due in December when she's actually few weeks away from her delivery & due to give birth in June/August. lolsss...

Someone I thought was my very good friend did that to me & I laughed eh...it was just so funny & stupid.

Well that taught me a big lesson - " Never be free & open hearted with people who think evil of you". Don't even trust them or commit yourself to them cos like they say, people are no different from what they think of others.
If for no perceived reason they start getting paranoid you'll harm them, then that means they themselves have been secretly harming & undermining you from behind hence their sudden paranoia & strong desire to protect themselves from you.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I have really bad burning sensation at the top of my belly - a little below the bra line. I thought it could be the bra irritating skin but this is not at bra line and I have already tried different bras/sizes/fabrics/ and even going braless I have tried extra moisturizing with various brands, massaging and also heat/cold packs. It feels like I have a blister. Skin looks perfectly fine... It is killing me. Anyone else had this? Any help?? Thank you!!

This sounds like heartburn!
Is the pain internal or external on the skin?
If it's internal, it could be heartburn which is very common in pregnancy & a cup of warm milk will help or you can talk to your doctor so he/she can prescribe a suitable relief for you.

He didn't prescribe dis particular one, jst said I shld gt any1 I'm comfortable with. I recently bought one 'gummy bear' multivite for my son and he so loves it so wen I saw gummies prenatal, I decided to give myself a 'treat' too...lol

Ur Dr is right, cos induction is supposed to be a second option. In a situation where one just opts for the 2nd option & it fails, the next step is 3rd option which is CS. so i quite agree with him. i also thought about this last night.

God is in charge anyway. His will, not ours!
Besides, labour might even come on its own even before that 39th week.
