A secessionist group in Nigeria, which supports US
President-elect Donald Trump, has said it will hold a rally on
Friday to mark his inauguration, the AFP news agency
reports.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which wants the
independence of Biafra in the eastern region of Nigeria, said
in a statement that it was inviting people to a pro-Trump
rally in the southern oil hub of Port Harcourt.
The group says it welcomes "civil and pragmatic democracy
anywhere we find it".
The Biafra region unsuccessfully fought for independence in
a brutal three-year civil war that ended in 1970.
IPOB has renamed its push for secession "Biafrexit", after
the UK's Brexit vote to leave the European Union, AFP
reports.
Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the brother of IPOB leader Nnamdi
Kanu, who has been held by the Nigerian government since
October 2015 on treason charges, said Mr Trump had won
their favour as he "supports the right to self-determination".
Separatist sentiments have grown in the months since Mr
Kanu's arrest and sparked clashes with security forces that
have since been condemned by human rights groups, the
report says.

Press Statement
MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND AND HIS AGENTS CAUGHT AGAIN
LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH
As Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari and his
agents are running out of ideas on how to tag the
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist organization
in order to justify before the international community the
laughable secret trial of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, they
have once again been caught “pants down“ in one of their
lying schemes. On this occasion, Buhari has paid media
organizations to concoct a story on the arrest of a Biafran
from the Igbo-speaking area who is planning to bomb a
bridge in Lagos. Unfortunately, Buhari’s media client did a
very poor job of his assignment, thereby leaving a gaping
hole in the entire story that could make Buhari call for the
return of the money he paid to the media organization.
On the 29th of December 2016, Ismail Akwei, a Ghanaian
journalist, reporting for Agence France-Presse (AFP), titled
his news as follows: “NIGERIAN POLICE SAY THEY HAVE
FOILED A BIAFRAN SEPARATIST ATTACK.“ On the main news
itself, Ismail Akwei stated that “Nigerian police said on
Wednesday [December 28, 2016] that it had foiled a bomb
attack on one of the main bridges in the economic capital,
Lagos, planted by a separatist group. After a long and
difficult surveillance, the main suspect, Abiodun Amos, alias
Senti, leader of the group trying to bomb the Mainland
Bridge in Lagos, was arrested on November 2, 2016 with two
AK-47 assault rifles,”
Continuing, Ismail Akwei also reported that “The main
suspect is an Igbo, a native of the Ese Odo region of Ondo
State. He is an expert in explosives, a specialist in the
manufacture of large scale explosive devices for terrorist
purposes.” He concluded his story by asserting that “The
leader of the Igbo separatist group provided information
leading to the confiscation of two cartons of explosives and
125 detonators in the trunk of a car ready to be driven
towards the bridge.”
In the first place, it is horrifying that a respected media
organization such as AFP (founded in 1944) will hire and
retain the services of incompetent and unethical brown-
envelope journalist like Ismail Akwei. It is also shocking that
this story was not cross-checked by the Editorial Board of
AFP before going public. Given the caliber of seasoned
administrators at AFP such as Emmanuel Hoog and Michele
Leridon, we expect them to hold their employees
accountable for ensuring due diligence and exactitude in
their reportage.
It is laughable that an Igbo “separatist group leader“ trying
to bomb the bridge goes by the name ABIODUN AMOS. Also,
this same Igbo “main suspect“ is a native of Ese Odo region
of Ondo State. So, Igbos are now natives of Ondo state and,
by inference, Ondo State is now a part of Biafra? I believe
anyone reading this press statement is beginning to
understand the schemes and lies of Buhari which he is using
Ismail Akwei of AFP to perpetuate.
We continue to warn the world that Buhari and his Nigerian
government is a bundle of congenital liars. Instead of finding
a panacea to the deteriorating economic conditions of the
British criminality and creation called Nigeria, Buhari is
spending stupendous amount of resources cooking up new
lies against IPOB and their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. For how
long will he continue, unsuccessfully, to deceive the world?
Is it not about time Buhari and his lying crew swallowed
their pride and called for a Referendum and settle this
matter once and for all? Why waste tax payers‘ money and
other public resources in trying to chase a wild goose?
The IPOB strongly urge everyone to disregard this latest lie
from the pit of hell which was unfortunately delivered
through AFP. Muhammadu Buhari is desperate because he
is running out of time, having realized that the restoration of
the nation of Biafra is an unstoppable and irreversible
process. We advice discerning persons to consign the AFP
report to the dustbin which is its rightful place. IPOB is a
peaceful, non-violent organization with a singular objective
of the peaceful restoration of the nation of Biafra.

Obafemi Awolowo
is the undisputed hero of the Yoruba tribe
of Nigeria whose wartime policy of
starvation and currency change helped kill
the Biafran dream. The post colonial era of
Nigerian history was dominated by three
actors, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo
and Ahmadu Bello. Dr Azikiwe was an
avowed nationalist who preferred one
Nigeria above anything else. Sir Ahmadu
Bello was a tribalist who initially preferred a
balkanized Nigeria to enable his people live
their religious and cultural life without
external negative inluence and was later
reluctantly convinced to seek an agenda for
a united Nigeria. Chief Obafemi Awolowo
from the onset did not hide his preference
for an Oduduwa Republic.
Chief Awolowo is idolized by the Yorubas
because he was able to transform the South
West into an educational and industrial hub
in Africa and build a robust political climate.
He so much understood the value of
education that he made it free, affordable
and offered a lot of scholarships to Yorubas
to advance academically to the highest
level. He ran a political system in Action
Group whereby people have their say while
the leader has his way. This is the system
Bola Tinubu is unsuccessfully trying to
emulate in Action Congress of Nigeria.
Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, a core nationalist, never
received the level of hero worship Awolowo
received in the South West because Igbos
severally accuses him of not taking them
out of Nigeria when Chief Awolowo and Sir
Ahmadu Bello were angling for a balkanized
nation. Chief Awolowo was the sage whose
idea ended the Nigerian civil war. He
advised the Gowon Cabinet to block all food
supply to Biafra so as to end the war quickly
and according to him " starvation is a
legitimate instrument of war’’ This led to
the starvation of over one million Biafran
children. Thus Awolowo’s advice and actions
led to the quick end to the Biafran dream.
Therefore it is right to say that what the
entire armed forces of Nigeria could not do,
the wisdom of Awolowo did. Chief Awolowo
also ensured that every adult Biafran who
managed to survive the starvation was given
#20 pounds to start life afresh irrespective
of amount of money in anyone’s bank
account before the war started. Another
policy of his which frustrated Biafra’s ability
to import food and arms was the change of
currency which according to Awolowo " And
it is on record that Ojukwu admitted
that two things defeated him in this war,
that’s as at the day he left Biafra. He
said one, the change of currency, he said
that was the first thing that defeated
him, and we did that to prevent Ojukwu
taking the money which his soldiers has
stolen from our Central bank for sale
abroad to buy arms…So I decided to
change the currency, and for your
benefit, it can now be told the whole
world, only Gowon knew the day before,
the day before the change took place".
Chief Awolowo has been variously accused
of introducing tribalism into the Nigerian
politics. He chased Dr Azikiwe out of the
Ibadan in 1954 when the NCNC headed by
Azikiwe won majority seats in the West
Nigerian House of Assembly and through a
palace coup called cross carpeting Zik was
denied the Premiership of Western Nigeria,
at a time when Professor Eyo Ita, an Efik
was premier of Eastern Region and Alhaji
Umoru Altine , a Fulani, was Mayor of
Enugu. Dr Azikiwe, following the footsteps of
Awolowo, had to frustrate Professor Eyo Ita
out of Enugu. Chief Awolowo and Sir
Ahmadu Bello seems to have a deeper
understanding of the Nigerian complexities
than Dr Azikiwe.
While Awolowo never trusted the Igbos, the
north never trusted Awolowo and
theYorubas. The northern oligarchy
instigated crisis in Western Nigeria in the
same manner President Obasanjo used the
Uba brothers to instigate crisis in Anambra
State. This crisis led to the trumped up
charges leading to the trial and
imprisonment of Awolowo . Reports has it
that he was to be poisoned in prison before
the military coup altered the state of affairs.
Awolowo was released from Calabar prison
by Biafran leader Odumegwu Ojukwu and
there was an agreement that while Ojukwu
declares Biafra in the East, Awolowo would
declare Oduduwa Republic in the West. The
British establishment, sensing the dangers
of Awolowo declaring Oduduwa Republic in
the West, convinced Gowon and the north to
checkmate Awolowo’s secessionist agenda
by appointing him the Vice Chairman of
Federal Executive Council. This strategy
worked effectively and Awolowo was
deceived that after Gowon’s tenure he
would be given the opportunity of ruling
Nigeria. Awolowo thus had to checkmate the
Biafran dream to clear any obstacle to his
ruling Nigeria while the north was looking
for the right opportunity to throw him into
the dustbin. In frustration, Awo resigned
from Gowon’s cabinet when he realized he
has been politically duped.
Awolowo quashed the Biafran dream while
the northern establishment killed the
Oduduwa dream and betrayed Awolowo’s
presidential ambition thrice. This fact was
aptly captured by a prominent Yoruba
leader and Nigeria’s former minister of
aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode while
replying to a boastful statement by another
prominent northern leader, Alhaji Usman
Farouk on how the north dominated the
Yoruba people and conquered the Niger
Delta. According to Fani Kayode, " ... the
north literally begged Awolowo not to
declare Oduduwa Republic and go the
way of Biafra even though that was his
original intention…Fourthly it was the
support that the south west gave to the
north that allowed Nigeria to win the
war. Fifthly it was the lie that Gowon
and the northern leaders fed to Awolowo
that he would be made President of the
country after the war and after being
effectively being made de facto Prime
Minister under Gowon during the war
that got Awolowo to support them’’,
invariably, the Igbos and Yorubas were
effectively dribbled, divided, manipulated
and overpowered.
The ascension of Awolowo's kinsman
Obasanjo as Head of State was another
opportunity for him to realize his dream of
ruling Nigeria. The 1979 election result was
decided in the infamous judgement where
the Supreme Court refused Awolowo’s plea
that 2/3 of 19 is 13 states therefore
declaring Alhaji Shehu Shagari the winner of
the election. The north led by Generals
Shehu Yaradua and Theophilus Danjuma
convinced Obasanjo on why Awolowo
should never be the president of Nigeria.
Therefore, instead of a runoff election,
which some believe could favour
Awolowo,the Supreme Court declared Alhaji
Shehu Shagari the winner.
Chief MKO Abiola at one point was used by
the northern dominated NPN to oppose the
presidential ambitions of Awolowo . He
used his Nigerian Concord newspaper and
enormous wealth to fight Awolowo and UPN
and when they finished using him to deal
with Awolowo, they frustrated Abiola's
presidential ambition and he had to resign
from the party in 1982. Alhaji Umaru Dikko,
then transport minister, sent message to
Abiola that the presidency is not for sale to
the highest bidder. When Babangida
annulled the election of Abiola in 1993,
Yorubas alluded to a certain curse Awolowo
released on Abiola, in the heat of the later's
opposition to his presidency " that even if
Abiola was to be given the presidential
seat, he would not sit on it .''
In 1999, after the suspicious death of
Abiola, the northern establishment sensing
that Chief Olu Falae was the choice of the
Yoruba people, rigged the polls in favour of |

Buhari celebrated his 74th birthday over the weekend. And
we had previously been made to understand his WAEC
Certificate (WASC) was issued in 1953.
From 1953 to 2016 = 63, and 74 - 63 = 11.
So Buhari was 11years old when he obtained his WASC? That
must have been a SENSATIONAL NATIONAL RECORD...

In what appears to be a counter strategy, the Indigenous
People of Biafra, IPOB, has launched what it called
'Operation David Dance.'
This is coming few days after Nigerian Military launched
“Operation Python Dance in the South-East as a measure
against criminal elements and secessionist groups in the
area.
In a statement made available to Daily Post by the IPOB’s
media and publicity director, Comrade Emma Powerful,
urged all the people of the South-East and the IPOB
members “to be sure they don’t fall victim in the hands of
soldiers called Operation Python Dance.”
He stated that: “The IPOB devices a means of Operation
David dance which is recognized by the God Almighty in the
Bible which was used by king David to dance against Goliath
at the battle front because God Almighty does not sleep.
“We are also aware that the world knows that the annual
report from Amnesty International against the cold blooded
killing of unarmed members of IPOB in Nigeria by the
security agents are correct and even the soldiers know that
the reports are correct.
“We blame them for killing innocent civilians because we are
not in the war era and it is now gathering momentum
around the world, that is why they are running helter-skelter
to cover the crime committed in a broad daylight.
“There is no way you can deny something that happened in
a broad daylight and every single individual saw how they
killed people at random in the streets.” |

The Niger Delta Elders and leaders under the leadership of
Papa (Dr) Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark Pan Niger Delta
Elders and stakeholders Forum deserves Kudos by all well
meaning Nigerians for presenting such minimal demands
before the government of Nigeria to pacify a people and
region that has being continuously raped and dehumanized
since 1914, because the Golden Egg she lays is the
commonwealth of the nation.
These demands will lead the roadmap to engender desired
peaceful atmosphere that Nigerian state so need if there is
sincerity. The days of buying peace through unpatriotic Niger
Deltan like the Rotimi Amaechis, Ayirimi Emamis, Timipre
Sylvas to extract our resources are gone for good. Since the
day crude oil and gas resources was discovered for the past
60 years, we are only asking for portable water, electricity,
affordable healthcare, quality education etc; until 1994,
when our people were visited by state sponsored military
terror by the regime of General Sani Abacha, a regime
President Muhammadu Buhari served as one of his
henchmen and chaired the Petroleum Trust Fund.
Our Elders, Traditional Rulers and stakeholders have
spoken. They have placed the minimal legitimate demands
of the Niger Delta region before the Nigerian government.
The prospects of regaining the trust of the people by talking
down on the people or using the instruments of force by the
state are gone. This is the 21st century Niger Delta; we gave
the Nigerian state and her International Oil Corporations
freedom, peaceful atmosphere overtime but was betrayed.
We are not deterred by President Muhammadu Buhari
mulling over continuous military operation and so-called
funny and odd doctrines like military choke points,
Operations Delta Safe and talking ignorantly like a medieval
kings by asking people to leave Nigeria if they wish.
We the people of the Niger Delta do not expect a different
attitude/personality from General Muhammadu Buhari, this
nation has being feeding and sustaining from the resources
of the Niger Delta since his dangerous entry into national
affairs which started 1976 despite his bigotry and
inconsistencies. His date with history has just started. Since
1994 when he and his colleagues advised their boss, general
Sani Abacha to draft the military into Ogoni land, it has not
been the same again. Despite the state orchestrated and
sponsored killing fields, from the Ogoni-Nines (Kenule Saro
Wiwa) to Kaiama, Odi, Okerenkoko etc, all to sustain the free
flow of crude oil from our fatherland, but nothing can stop
our resolve to achieve our legitimate struggle, we are only
waxing stronger, more determined and mastering the
battlefields, while the Nigerian governments will continue to
lose the war.
It is high time president Muhammadu Buhari, employ
capable brains that will manage his body language and
government positively before it degenerates to a
psychopathic regime. At his age he can decide to stop
listening to those Rotimi Amaechis, Timpre Sylvas and
Adams Oshiomoles etc that bankrolled his journey to power
with stolen wealth from our states that he has adequately
shielded against justice as compensation. Any leader that is
ready to govern his people must have political education.
Else, he is a criminal. You cannot treat the Niger Delta with
disdain while you treat your brothers that are terrorists and
mere kidnappers (Boko Haram) like kings and queens by
committing the International RedCross and Red Crescent
Movement from Geneva to witness your transactions with
them, before releasing their hostages to you.
Our fathers and elders have done the needful we are not
disappointed. The issues they raised bring to the fore the
mistakes of the Nigerian federalism that have sustained the
perennial struggle for restoration of our land. The demands
are the minimal legitimate roadmap to setting up the
framework to achieving the short, medium and long
objective for the restoration of tranquillity and development
of the region. Some are issues that need affirmative actions,
the immediate take off of academic activities for the
Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko for the
2016/17 academic sessions, withdrawing all occupational
security agencies and agents in the Niger Delta. The Nigerian
state genuinely need the cooperation of our people to
sustain the flow of the abundant crude oil and gas resources
in our land to quench her appetite of developing other
sections of the country without regards to the Niger Delta,
the people and the environment.
There are no problems among groups in the agitation; we
may have challenges of speaking in one voice. When the
trumpet blows, we will go the biblical way of "separating the
Wheat from the Tares" (Matthew 13:24-30). We know that,
there are some elements and by-products of conflicts
merchants from the Niger Delta working with some sold and
bought up interests against the peace and development of
the Niger Delta that works closely with those, President
Muhammadu Buhari abdicated governing of Nigeria to
since, May 2015, that are deplorably misusing his trust.
The path to peace and conflicts resolutions is always not a
straight jackpot. The greatness of every nation is not
building strong men but building laws and strong
institutions, there will come a time the people of the Niger
delta too can do the thinking for Muhammadu Buhari, if he
cannot find solution from his tribal lords and strong men
around him. There are more than one ways to skin a cat, the
president need the people of the Niger delta more than we
need him. We sympathise with President Muhammadu
Buhari at present, from traumas of Boko Haram and
herdsmen- his so-called brother and children that he is
handling with kids gloves and the deliberate state
orchestrated killings in Biafra land. Let Muhammadu Buhari
be advised to come down from that his ethnic and religious
fundamentalist iron horse to set the federal government
dialogue and negotiations team with neutral international
observers and representatives of IOCs.

Facebook (FB, Tech30) shares plunged 5.5% after the
chief financial officer warned investors that the

to "come down meaningfully."
However, we Biafrans are very certain that it is the
spirit of Biafra that is the cause of his misfortune,
having compromised and violated freedom of
speech and expression of Biafrans by suspending an
account that has almost 1million members for no
just cause, and the major channel via which the
plight of Biafrans is passed across to the world.
We warned Zuckerberg of impending doom should
he proceed on his journey of perdition, but he didn't
listen. It took the loss of $3 billion to have him
reverse his decision to continue his dirty business
with the dictator of the Islamic republic of Nigeria,

This should serve as a deterrent to all those that
may want to stop Biafra, there is a strong force
behind IPOB that nobody can withstand, not even
