Good morning everyone,

I'm in the process of applying to schools in the US for my masters degree but I realized that the priority dealine for funding/ Graduate assistantship in most schools have elasped, although the application is still ongoing till May for 2019 fall admission. Now my question is this, if I go ahead to apply, is there going to be a possibility for me to be considered for funding/graduate assistantship? thanks for a quick response

I have no idea on Nigerian GPAs. Did not school here. You have to convert the GPA from Nigerian scale to Canadian scale. The last two years of your study is what they look at. They require nothing less than a B+ average. The single most important thing for admission is what you write in your statement of intent. You really have to inspire them and make them feel like they really need to have you there. Recommendations from past employers and professors and grades are also important. But your statement of intent has to blow them all out of the water. If you craft it well, you might even be nominated by the department for a full scholarship. The MPP is the most revered and extremely selective program and admits less than a dozen students. The MPA you can only get half funding and takes many more students. Good luck!

Thanks very much for your response

I received this letter from my prospective school yesterday in response to my letter that I have missed my resumption again because CIC has not processed me. I also wrote a member of parliament and received a response from his secretary that she will forward my letter to him.

Dear Jeremy,

Thanks for the update. This is a ridiculous situation indeed. I’m not sure whether it might be possible for you to start the MPP program in January (the fall semester started a month ago so the earliest you could start is in January) so I CC Amy, who might know.

Good luck!!!

Good evening, I'm currently processing my application to study Masters in Public Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. I graduated from OAU with a 3.55 CGPA in international relations of which one of the admission requirements is a 75% or B+ in a 4 year undergraduate study. What do you think about my CGPA, does it fit their requirement?
