Zahra29: Yes.
It's the same eligibility criteria as the original 30hrs funded places, it's just the age range that has been expanded.
From gov.uk: Your immigration status To be eligible for free childcare for working parents, you (and your partner if you have one) must have a National Insurance number.
The person who applies must also have at least one of the following:
British or Irish citizenship settled or pre-settled status, or you have applied and you’re waiting for a decision permission to access public funds - your UK residence card will tell you if you cannot do this Thank you. Actually I meant Flying Start in Wales. This has been on for a while but they added more locations recently because it is not for the whole of Wales. It's usually 2 hours a day from what I have been told |

kasillars: Hello house, Please I sent my BRP and provisional license form to the DLVA since last week Wednesday using special delivery and it was confirmed delivered. Checking The status on the website now, it saying "In progress, awaiting Application return form". I want to know if it's normal. Because it's over a week since I sent the mail. It is normal and there is some where on the site that says they only update when the application form was received and not the stage. When it is approved it will say license issued |

AKALAMAGBO: Make una dey calm down Mr/Mrs Dependant… No be everything dem dey shook mouth to, especially wen you have no knowledge about stuff. I’m not your mate, mind how you address people on a forum… When they were discussing and arguing about UK politics, I maintained silence too.
On this topic, with picture attached ( 1 minor fault: appropriate speed ).
I’m a licensed driver and fully paid for 8 session of driving training. One session cost £55.
Failed my first driving test, paid for 1 more session and another practical driving test which I passed… I noticed the way some people answer questions here but just decided not to say anything. No need to go into unncessary arguement. Here on Nairaland for more that 10 years, so some things are not new to me |

koonbey: The international driving permit is irrelevant. The UK Gov website talks about national licenses, and does not mention that permit, and most people have confirmed as well that what police check is the national driving license.
Since yours is expired I doubt it would be acceptable. An expired document has no validity and would not be acceptable even in Nigeria so I would be shocked to see that it's acceptable in the UK.
You should do your research and maybe experiment sha.
Edit: See the UK gov website: https://www.gov.uk/driving-nongb-licence/y/a-resident-of-great-britain/full-car-and-motorcycle/any-other-country
It says "You can drive in Great Britain on your full, valid driving licence for 12 months from when you became resident"(emphasis mine) Thank you for answering. I never knew international driving licence is irrelevant. I would have easily renewed mine. That means if i renew my nigerian licence now, i can continue driving until i am 12 months here. See what this link says: https://intadvice.southwales.ac.uk/life-uk-and-faqs/driving-uk/#:~:text=During%20the%20first%20year%20of,a%20full%20UK%20Driving%20Test. |

Hi. I have original Nigeria licence that expired in January and International one that has not. I am only 8 months in the uk. Guess i can still drive missb50: I've loved manual cars since moving to the UK o (maybe because there is no traffic), the pleasure of pressing clutch gives innner peace but auto is definitely the way to go later...
I'd advise anyone without UK license ( or original Nigerian license within 12 Months in the UK) not to drive as you've always hammered. My friend was caught driving after a year in the UK before he got his license, he was slammed 9 points on his new license plus almost 1k fine. |
