Forget about the Tobi Ige guy and focus on reapply with or without the gcms notes. But take ur time and handle all areas of your app before submitting this time.

Sometimes, we require assistance from others for even the smallest of things we can do ourselves but this kind of persons are the MAIN reasons we should exercise more caution when dealing with faceless people because even the relatives we know sometimes do betray us as well.

I tell people all the time, Canada is worth the try a million times if not for anything but for the possibility of enjoying the privilege that comes with a first class country citizenship or permanent residency .

Issues of refusals usually bother around funds, family ties and purpose of visit, if one can handle these areas very well, travel history will not raise any ugly head.

Wishing all TRV hopefuls plus myself all our heart desires to join our predecessors in canny land.

I am gathering my documents for study permit but my concerns are how to prove my home ties and gap between my youth service year to this year. I graduated in microbiology 2013 and did my service in 2014. I worked briefly with a private university in 2015. (Feb-may) before enrolling in m.sc environmental microbiology in one of Nigerian public University.i have defended my thesis but Senate yet to approve my results due to lingering ASUU strike. Currently I am unemployed . I am also worried if the V. O will have issue of me going for another m.sc , what can I use for my home ties and it's my admission letter for environmental microbiology enough to present as time lapse.

Congratulations on your Admission and funding from UofSask. For your TRV APP, I assume u not married and thus National population birth certificates for your siblings and parents possibly should fly to show family ties (International passports are easily verifiable); then any land properties you have here in Nigeria ranging from Landed properties, Shares etc will also show strong ties to home country.

Now, if I am in your shoes which I am not, I will not state my M.Sc. program in my TRV application to avoid the problem of the V.O. thinking aloud why u want another M.Sc (though this can be explained with a good SOP) but I would rather convince one of close lecturers to issue me a reference letter stating I have been his/her research assistants for the duration your desire and how he referenced you to study your new program. This letter should cover ur issue of being unemployed for sometime now.

This is my thought but I pray Maziude, Austinepe and the other gurus in the house will come to your rescue timely.

Congrats on securing funding again. Really happy for you. U have to apply this month please, January is not far again.

Now I applied to Vancouver island university and got admitted to study economics bachelor's degree. I am currently a 300l student of unizik as I just concluded my 200l still in economics. I submitted my first year transcripts but wasn't able to get the second year due to strike and results not being released at once.

I am to start by January 8th, tuition deposit of CAD$8655.88 have been paid. Courses have been registered though I was put on waitlis for some.

All through it has been Ama dove Nigeria Ltd an agency who has been behind all from admissions to this very stage..

Now I am at visa stage. All forms were filled on my behalf by Ama dove online and printed out and I am to submit all of them in persons as well as supporting documents to consulate of Canada at Victoria island today but I do not have this VIS CONSENT FORM ish, don't know if it is necessary.

I wrote a very good personal statement. I am being sponsored by my dad having written his letter of sponsorship stating is company's network of over #200m and assets of over #100m showing statements of accounts of several banks but we made a mistake in the address of one of the properties that is we wrote no 54 nwankwo street instead of no 1 nwankwo street as shown in the land docs. Hope it won't also be a problem.

My fear is this visa if a thing abeg, is there any doc I should add to enable smooth and fast sailing of visa processing abeg.

Consent form will be given to u at vfs if you have to add it to ur application.

I suggest u find a way to correct that address, it is worth it.

Then for fast sailing, no guarantees dear but from experience, if you can provide easily verifiable docs like certificate of ownership instead of land deeds, international passport instead of age declarations, it helps.

Yes, they will send biometric instruction for every new application u make.

So keep check ur CIC page not to miss it when it comes. Though your email notification will also come.

Congrats on your Admission, your first course is quite diff from civil engr technician, if you intend to convince the VO with a letter of explanation, you need cogent reasons and proof that shows u have some sought of background with civil engr or the VO might see u as an immigrant.
However, I think your chances are slim from normal perspective but with proper doc and efforts , it might fly especially if u can deliberately indicate some civil engr work or studies u have done before to indicate carrier or academic progression.

Now, you cousin can sponsor you, yes he can. 4-6 months payslips will fly but remember, he should pay one year fees and transfer 10k Canadian dollars into your dollar account before you print your account statement and explain this in your letter of explanation. Then, u must also add his data page of passport, birth certificate , employment letters and everything else he provide. Don't assume anything.

There is no magic to how this works dear. Get enough data on ur device I.e. phone or laptop or preferably both and appreciate Google .

That said, application windows for admissions opens October and November for most universities in Canada, start reading their admission requirements and there u will discover those with scholarship or funding possibility for you.

Page 0 or 1 of part 13 of this thread has useful links to help you. Am sure when you have more specific questions and answers, the gurus in the house will appear to aid ur course.

Early applicants especially thesis or research based masters gets the most funding or scholarship opportunity . So start now.

I believe your application is an online route. CALASTU(Lagos) and CAAB(Abuja) tracking numbers are given when biometrics are collected for online applicants.
This means that your 'Biometric completed' will be updated in either of the offices depending on where you submitted the letter and also where your TRV will be issued once your study permit is approved in any visa office around the world that processed it including Accra visa office.

Yeah, thanks. Ur explanation make sense a lot. I applied online and my biometric status was completed immediately I submitted at vfs Lagos. I am tracking on CIC page agreeing with you that I have no business with vfs.

Hello house, mine vfs tracking number is with calastu instead of Ghanstu. Does it mean my study permit app is being handled at Canada Lagos office? I have always thought all study permit apps are treated in Ghana.

I'm sorry for my many questions.

1) Ur forms do not need ur handy signature as u will be directed to sign them electronically by typing in ur full name.

2) You can apply for trv with conditional offer of admission provided you submit the VO with the same requirements your DLI is requesting to provide u unconditional acceptance.

3) don't know

4) No. First of all, they need a few days to even process your payment and access your documents to confirm is a complete application. So it depends on where u paid from. I.e Nigerian cards take longer to process while using cards from Canada or USA maybe be processed instantly. So give and take it , give room for 3-5 working days to be invited for biometric depending on how u paid.

My concern for all this TRV apps is that you cannot predict anything. Whether by date of submission or by date you passed medicals. Please advice, I did upfront medicals and it turned up passed september 29th exactly 5weeks after paper application. How long will dey delay the process?
