Politics / Re: Sss Re-arrests Kabir Sokoto by PXtB(m): 4:18pm On Feb 10, 2012
First I want to congratulate the SSS, on this. But at the same time we woulnt be here if they hv been up and doing from the begining. Because their duty I blv is to Gather info, and nip in the the bud, groups such as BH, in their early stage. Kudos to them still. For the GEJ haters, I laff because, wen Sokoto escaped Gej is clueless, now arrested he did not go into the bush to carry out the arrest. I hv always told who ever wants to listen, that, I shall not consider my vote for GEJ a waste until the end of his tenure. We shld try and remember that this is the first time Nigerians are able to say, " I wasted my vote, or thank God I did not vote  him"
That in itself is a step. So let's all pray For Naija!

@ pedestal82, God bless you. People are just swayed by sentiments and voice out their hatred for President GEJ for no just reason. I was in Nigeria last December for Christmas and I met a couple of people who belong to the legion of GEJ haters and I challenge many of them to substantiate their reason for their hatred. The truth is that they could not give me any reason. Some said he has not solved electricity problem, he has not fixed the roads, he has not solved corruption problem,, the list is endless, all in 6 months or thereabouts. I also want the above problems and more to be fixed in record time but expecting President GEJ to use 6 months or even one year to fix a country that it took the former leaders more than 30 years (at least counting from the time of Shagari) to DAMAGE is rather unfair.

I remember vividly that as early as May last year, just a month after the general elections that international observers and every rational person acclaimed as the best in recent times, people had started branding President GEJ as clueless. The word clueless was not there before the elections. Proponents of the "clueless" took the campaign to NL and every online forum they could assess just to tarnish the image of the President prematurely. Now people are here arguing that President GEJ deserves no credit for the arrest Sokoto just because he did not go into the bush with SSS. Ridiculous! Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. It's only a failure that sees only failures in what other people do. Deep calleth unto deep.
Politics / Re: President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Approval Rating by PXtB(m): 5:25am On Jul 24, 2011
The word 'Clueless' sprang up from the pit of hell immediately after the April elections. Those that did not like the emergence of GEJ as President invented it and in a space of three months, the propaganda has spread like wild fire; kudos to them. As far as my memory could take me, 'Clueless' was not commonly used to describe the president before the elections; many Nigerians have suddenly lost their sense of objectivity because of their selfish interests-it's really unfortunate. I remember, even before swearing-in, people were already rating GEJ in every aspects as if he would transform the hitherto destroyed country in a twinkling of an eye. This is synonymous with a lecturer scoring the students at the beginning of the semester; why don't we rate him after two years at least.
Nigeria has been systematically damaged by ALL former rulers and expecting GEJ to fix all 51-year old Nigerian problems in a space of three months is rather unfair. Some people here have never been in the least leadership position (Course reps, nuclear family, students union, town association etc) and all they do is condemn. Some people on this forum studied engineering (albeit, not all are practising) and they also join the 'masses' to expect a 'miracle' in the power sector within three months. For those that care to listen, transforming the power sector will not be spontaneous; I mean, it's not as easy as buying 'I-pass-my-neighbour' from Oshodi. A lot of engineering, re-engineering, construction and re-construction would be required and it takes years. A lot of the power generation and distribution equipment have been lying idle for years and restoring them to active life again can be more difficult than waking up a dead man. Besides, some of the original equipment manufacturers have either gone out of business or no longer manufacture such equipment, making it difficult to even think of repairing them; hence, a complete change-out is the way out. Now before you even think of procuring any equipment of such or even lower magnitude, you carry out the front-end engineering design at which stage you specify the equipment to the manufacturer. Again, like I said earlier, procuring power supply equipment is not as easy as buying 'I-pass-my-neighbour' from the market. Some of the equipment are not on the shelf for you to come and pick; you have specify what you want to the manufacturer to suit your purpose. After the front-end engineering stage, especially in the case of big power plants, we have the detailed engineering stage, before construction.
I've used the power sector as an illustration that Nigerian problems are deep and cannot be solved in three months as we expect. The greatest problem Nigeria has, which is the bane of our development, is corruption. As an illustration, the education sector is so bad that in secondary schools, teachers mandate students to pay exam malpractice fees as a sine qua non for writing an exam. So, hard work is no longer encouraged and the same children will grow up knowing that there's nothing wrong with cheating. Similar category of people are every where in government as politicians and public/civil servants.
My people, if there is any body that needs fast changes in Nigeria, I'm number 1; however such changes will not take place overnight especially in a decayed system like we have in Nigeria. I'm more positive than pessimistic though. Solving Nigeria's problem is everybody's responsibility and it starts from the mind. Revolution will probably be the escape route but who'll take the lead.
Politics / Re: Senators, Reps Back Amnesty For Boko Haram by PXtB(m): 9:58pm On Jul 17, 2011
I'm not at all surprised at the call for amnesty by northern lawmakers I mean BH sympathisers and financiers. When BH were throwing bombs and killing "unbelievers", the killing was "senseful" and no northern lawmaker asked them to stop. Now that FG sent JTF to fish out the blood-thirsty murderers, JTF's killings became "senseless" and the so-called northern lawmakers are asking FG to withdraw JTF. Shameless mediocres!
Where were the northern lawmakers when BH were killing every "non-believer" at sight?
Where were the northern lawmakers when scores of promising Youth Corpers were brutally murdered in Bauchi after the April elections? Oh those killings were "senseful" and deserved no attention. Hypocrites!!!
The nemesis of long years of blood shed is catching up with the northern leaders and now they are commanding President to withdraw JTF and declare amnesty as if GEJ is their houseboy. An old adage says that when the corpse of another person's child is being carried, it feels as if it's firewood. By the time you carry the corpse of you own child, then you understand how it really feels. Now not only "non-believers" are being killed, even "believers" are also dying and that's why the northern leaders are calling for amnesty. Amnesty indeed! This is just the beginning. What makes them think that all the innocent blood of "non-believers" they (northern muslims) have shed over the decades would keep silent. The law of Karma says whatever you do to others would come back to you. I hate to talk about these islamic killings but I was compelled after reading the silly call for amnesty by the so-called northern lawmakers. They are making mockery of Nigerian legislature and the world is laughing!
Politics / Re: Jtf Accuses Borno Elders Of Backing Boko Haram by PXtB(m): 9:26pm On Jul 15, 2011
This committee will want to re-echo its stand and state without an iota of doubt that the soldiers have engaged themselves in extra judicial killing of people

I still dey laugh oooo!!! The Northern elders are just realising that innocent lives are being killed and Maiduguri chapter of NBA want a judicial commission of enquiry to be set up in respect of those killed by soldiers in combat.
Gentlemen let's face some realities: When BH were killing innocent "non-believers", there was no need for commission of enquiry and the so-called elders didn't raise a voice. The killings were just normal. When soldiers started their own round of killings, the killings became illegal and there was need for commission of enquiry. Are we not fooling ourselves here? Does it mean that the laws of these Islamic extremists supersedes the constitution of the FGN. The killings by BH are "intra-judicial" while that by soldiers are "extra-judicial". I dey laugh again ooo.

Where were Nothern NBA and elders when Youth Corpers were brutally murdered after the April election? Oh those ones are "intra-judicial" killings and very normal; and that's why no Northern elder came out to condemn the heinous act.
The Northern elders are gradually showing their true colours and the President should watch out. They are the real supporters of BH. The BH we talk about are but common people that cannot afford the sophisticated weapons ther using; they are simply playing the scripts of some big boys and only time shall tell. I'm sure if Buhari had won the election into the presidency which they see as their birth right, this uprising wouldn't have happened. May God help us!
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Targets Aso Rock And Wants JTF Withdrawn by PXtB(m): 5:43pm On Jul 14, 2011
When BH were throwing bombs at beer parlours in Maiduguri killing "non-believers", "believers" probably didn't see anything wrong with it and life was going on normally. When scores of Youth Corpers were brutally slaughtered after the election, no Northern leader condemned it; implying that the corpers deserved their deaths. When Osama bin Laden was killed, I know a lot of Nigerian muslims here in the UK that felt very cold and shattered. They had been holding bin Laden as a hero for unleashing terror on America and wasting innocent lives in a manner that would remain bitterly fresh in the memory of life-loving people.
Now many Nigerian Muslims are falling victims of the same terrorism they had so much cherished and upheld over the years. Even muslims are deserting Maiduguri; I really wonder why. I feel it's only the remnant "non-believing" Igbos that should be running away. It's an interesting episode. A kingdom fighting against itself. Now everybody, especially muslims are calling on GEJ to do something fast. Fast indeed!!! They have branded GEJ as (1) Clueless (2) Empty-headed (3) Sleeping Giant (4) Corrupt etc etc etc for failing to act fast and solve the same problems they (muslims) accumulated over the years. Now GEJ is their scape goat; they'll be creating problems for him (GEJ) to solve for them overnight so that he'll become "Clueful".
Before anybody gets me wrong on this cherished forum, I don't have any hatred against Islam. As a matter of fact, I make bold to say that I have a lot of muslims friends with whom I also discuss the ills of Islamic extremism. Of course Christianity also has extremists but there's nothing as directing extremism at killing for whatever reason. Life is precious and only the Giver of life has the power to take life.
