This is the reason why some guys say walking away from tense situations won't work. U can't keep walking every damn time. Imagine wat dis young lady is saying here, she actually wants her man to be the man and bitch slap her. Guys read and learn.
showing that you're a man doesn't mean slapping or beating your girl.
There are other ways to lead.. Gosh!
where is your brain?

Nice work here lovelygurl.
I prepoo with olive oil and deep condition with honey, do you think they are good enough substitutes? I also learnt from someone that mayonnaise (for cooking) can be used as a protein treatment for the hair and it's really good for the hair. What do you think? And please one more thing, I've been carrying thread or cornrows under wigs for weeks now I'm tired and I want to make a protective style I can wear outside, something that'll be simple but cool and professiona, need your suggestions please attach pictures thank you. By the way my natural hair is only long enough for two buns did the big chop in July this year grin

Protective styling inspiration smiley

You can make box braids or twists: simple and easy to style.. This can also last for a month depending on how you take care of it.

feed in braids:
You can also google for more options.. This is pretty simple and professional. More like cornrows but done stylishly

Crotchet: you can even do this yourself, if you know how to make the cornrows. You can also get someone make it for you and then you crotchet the hair in. Watch videos on YouTube for better understanding. There are also different kinds of crotchet hair, you can even use your regular attachments.

I get all my style inspiration from Youtube cos I was too shy to wear my hair out after the chop grin so you can also watch videos kiss

Loool! Didn't even bother to check. I bet one is with a red undertone, so red you'll look like a black Trump and the other so yellow, you could as well pass as white grin

Didn't know Sephora is in Germany though shocked

But damn from what I've heard, their stuff is sooooo expensive
black Trump grin grin
Damn! Y'all be playing with uncle Dona cry grin

Was in the drugstore the other day to take a closer look at those Foundations that are meant for us. Actually non is my skin tone. Plus they only have two darkest shade undecided

Who told them black girls are only two shades!
Actually, it doesn't make sense, they should pull the foundation shades out of their store

Even Douglas's Foundation has only one dark shade grin

Luckily, Sephora is now in Germany. Their store should have every shade range, maybe that will prompt other drug store to stock them
sephora will break your bank girl grin grin.. Its meant for working class citizen grin..
But rihanna's fenty beauty has a lot of tones for black girls, you can check it out at sephora if you have the money cheesy..

It's crazy how we all have different experiences

There's NO SINGLE natural hair product in drugstores except for 1 here. You have to order everything online. Let's not start with foundations. Just 2 brands with few colors for us. And this actually just changed recently. Last year we had NOTHING. I'm sooooo jealous cry. I knew you'd find a lot of options loool!

qhutetomsel
grin grin grin I was so surprised
I wasn't expecting to see any here coupled with the fact that my city is small, and the white people here are more.

Wow! Even that one store would be very expensive right?
Blacks in America literally had to fight for foundation colors that suits our tonecheesy..
Lol! Don't be jealous I will use them on your behalf tongue.
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure with time there will be more options for you guys there.
Sending a pm soon kiss

On a side note
I just realised that the hair cream I got from Nigeria is hair wonder. Its a really nice product and it worked perfectly for my relaxed hair. So I'm guessing their products will work fine for natural hair too.
Funny enough I abandoned it somewhere lipsrsealed

Phew!! So I just finished going through this thread and I have decided to go and wear my patience cloak for this natural hair journey cheesy hopefully school doesn't frustrate my efforts

I just realised I don't know nothing shocked and I still have a long way to go, didn't even know there was something called hair scissors undecided I just used the regular scissors for my mini chop, I have to learn how to stick to a routine(I suck at this) etc. Anyhow, I must do this so that I can boast of how I achieved the one thing I set out to do grin

And please Yay to the whatsapp group cool

You're doing a great job lovelygurl

Loooool grin

It's just that it's complicated teaching guys who don't know the different between those two textures why it has to be cut. I have to explain what natural hair is and what relaxed hair is, why I have to cut it etc

And after explaining and explaining they still don't understand
girlll! grin grin I know this feeling!
Even when I explained to my mum,she didn't get it so I just told her not to worry I will show her the outcome.. My brother had this look of "letmepretendlikeIunderstandyou" grin

I really bless God for His mercies endureth forever. I live very close to that area. I was abt to go to total station but a friend held me down with gist

Some minutes later while i was locking my door, i heard the first explosion. Mhen, the whole place lit up like it was 12noon. Out of curiousity i went closer( was close to the taxi park/shashee area) I stopped wen i saw a lady sitting on the floor crying, obviously she ran from the makert after the first explosion

I stood down n tried to ask why she was ceying?what she saw,or if any of her family was affected. That question increased her tears, she laid her head on my knees n wept bitterly like a little child. 5mins later low n behold the second explosion sounded.Where i was i could feel the heat. Before u could say 'Jesus is lord' everyone started running. I ran bare-footed towards the shashee area for hours in the rain (come see the way oloshos dey run even pass the guyz)

Their was a power cut, many oloshos fell into gutter while running. We could still feel The heat from the inferno.I was so scared, i asked myself 'is this how i wud die just like that?'

We adviced ourselves to avoid filling stations cos the gas might link up...A good samaritian driving a pick up van offered to give us a ride to adenta estate. We where just sooo many, only abt twenty of us could get in.From the back of d van we could still see the fire.So scaring.I just wonder how hell fire wud be. Lord please dont let me go to hell.

Am presently at a strangers house at adenta, cant sleep ,very wet n cold .And am still trying to recover from the shock..
Wow! Thank God for sparing your life.
This is so sad!
