Painful. By the way, the picture of the small car with AK47 were not captured in the writeup and are rather confusing. Was it the DPO that had them or the soldiers or they were just discovered in the scene of the shooting? OP you have to answer me o

Sadly enough, some people are sure to die during this October protest again while the organizers will cash out big time

I'm working my way up, I wanna be able to use the head of millions of gullible people around me

That's a fine art of living
We know you are a government supporter from your rant. Protest or not are people not dying from poverty, hunger, lack of medicare, insecurity etc? Cowards die a thousand times before their death. Death is death. If you cant join, stay away with your cowardice
Politics › Re: We will Shut Down Nigeria — NLC Declares by qtx(m): 1:56pm On Aug 29, 2024
DeLaRue:
The government needs to find a legal way to clip the wings of this NLC.

The police invited the man. No big deal. If you or you organisation has committed a crime under the law, the police can prosecute you - again, no big deal.

The NLC thinking they're bigger than the law just shows how weak the present government is.

Under Mr Buhari, ASUU went on strike for 8 months. The man did not bat an eyelid and refused to pay their salary during the 8 months. Nobody begged ASUU before they returned to work and even after going back to work, Mr Buhari still refused to pay them.

The current President generously paid 4 months out of the 8 months despite the fact that under the 'no work, no pay' rule applied by Mr Buhari, they were not entitled to the 8 months salary.

The current government has also settled the minimum wage with NLC.

Yet, every little thing, the NLC threatens to shut the country down.

Could they try this under Mr Buhari. Absolutely not.
What is labour doing that is illegal that govt should find a legal way to clip its wings? First if labour is not committing any crime, then govt shouldnt be worried about what labour is doing.

In the second bold part of your comment about Buhari, what would Buhari have done? someone that didnt even know where he was, talkless of knowing what was going on in government? Take for instance if Buhari arrested the labour leader and the workers down tools, will he go to their houses to force them to go to work? talk about something else.

I keep saying it times without number that bandits, kidnappers cant stand millions of youths, even with stones and sticks coming to them, how many are they? Since govt only pays lip service to cubbing insecurity we need to take our destiny into our own hands and enter the forest to chase and arrest the i.diots

Another demo of the typical BAT's style of addressing issues with a surface dressing approach. He doesn't have the ability or intellect to fix issues from the root. I personally do not like what Ekpa is doing. But observe that Buhari's govt thought capturing Nnamdi Kanu was the end but the situation was even complicated by his arrest and detention bc for sure there could be other guys waiting to assume that position in a hurry. So solving the problem from the rudimentary cause is the best approach

This is a publication by a popular French newspaper. Nigerians are everywhere destroying the image of the country for money. We know those involved in this criminal drug trafficking but we shall all keep pretending like it’s not an issue to be addressed.

t the end of the day, they were turn around and complain that our passport is weak. Hopefully, more countries will join in profiling Nigerians more accurately so that they can be separating the rest of us from the daredevil criminals soiling our names globally.
Stop swallowing everything the west publish about you guys. Your inferriority complex and lowliness is also not helping. Fact-check things and stop enslaving urselves for the west on every of their opinions. Kai!

I've read many snake posts on nairaland and I never bothered with the section.

Anyway, what's the snake breed? Is it venomous?

Yes to politicial buccaneers he is a tyrant but to an average Edo person, he is a good man.
He is a tyrant because he was able to cage the lions and tigers who before now held the state to ransom. People like Oshiomhole, Tony Kabaka, Dan Orbih and most recently Philip Shaibu.
He is a tyrant because he insisted that Edo money should be used for Edo people instead of sharing it to party leaders.
He is a tyrant because he is the only Governor paying 70k as minimum wage.
He is a tyrant because he built 2 refineries.
He is a tyrant because he built 2 power plant.
He is a tyrant because he brought two ethanol factories.
He is a tyrant because he built 1 solar plant.
You mean he built all those things? And if yes, i hope they are benefitting the common man and not enriching the elites alone which is the culture of most governors in Nigeria
