Thank God the man listened to his conscience. Nigerians, honesty pays oh! |
Nigerian should move in the right direction |
Its unfair that it had to take oyinbo people to make us know the dangers of what we consume whereas we have our own food regulatory body. |
It is sad to note that Nigerians have been consuming poisonous substances which our health regulatory body, National Agency For Food and Drug Administration NAFDAC approved to be safe for human consumption. It took the righteous anger of a Nigerian Mr. Emmanuel Fijabi Adebo to know this. He exported soft drinks to the United Kingdom and the health authorities there discovered that the Fanta and Sprite contained excess yellow and benzoic acid known to be carcinogenic ( a substance or radiation that leads to cancer). And drinking Fanta or Sprite becomes poisonous when consumed with ascorbic acid (vitamin c). So his goods were confiscated and destroyed. Mr Emmanuel following the destruction of his goods filed a case against NBC PLC and NAFDAC. After a prolonged legal battle in court where the Nigerian Bottling Company argued that their drinks were mearnt for local consumption and so should not be blamed for damages arising from exporting their products. However, Justice Adedayo Oyebanji asserts that their product are supposed to be safe for human consumption regardless of creed. He declared that NAFDAC have failed Nigerians by declaring these products fit for consumption. So, Mr Emmanuel Fijabi Adebo was awarded two million naira against NAFDAC and he instructed them to direct NBC to duly inform Nigerians about these dangers.

A lot of people desire to get rich. They desire to be able to command a vast fortune and make money while they sleep, yet still enjoy a life replete with leisure and pleasure. Well, Robert Adam an entrepreneur shares how you can achieve this, following these practical steps. 1. Live below your means. 2. Save 20 percent of your income. 3. Meticulously track expenses. 4. Eliminate bad dept. 5. Own the roof over your head. 6. Decimate your bad habits. 7. Set daily goals. 8. Manage your time effectively. 9. Add massive amounts of value. 10. Build multiple streams of passive income. 11. Invest in what you know. 12. Mind your own business. What are we talking about? 1. LIVE BELOW YOUR MEANS: don't spend more money than you make, final. 2. SAVE 20 PERCENT OF YOUR INCOME: this provides a rainy-day fund in case of emergences and also moment-of-the-opportunity cash when that unique opportunity comes so you do not miss it. 3. METICULOUSLY TRACK EXPENSES: not just the big expenses but the little ones too because a small leak will sink a big ship. You can do this by downloading an app to monitor your expenses and you will see where your money is going. 4. ELIMINATE BAD DEBT: such as high interest rate loans by doubling the minimum payment until its paid off. When you're free, then put your money into your savings. 5. OWN THE ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD: do what it takes to legally own your home. Set some goals and plan your action. 6. DECIMATE YOUR BAD HABITS: quit every bad habit that eat away at you physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. 7. SET DAILY GOALS: you need to have an exact number like...raising a million, and set a particular date to achieve it. Compound interests and small investments can help too. 8. MANAGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY: we all have the same amount of time in this world. Manage your time by instituting a smart and effective time management system to stay on track towards your goals. 9. ADD MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF VALUE: and do it consistently without fail over time. 10. BUILD MULTIPLE STREAMS OF PASSIVE INCOME: look out for things you can do once and get paid repeatedly. That's generating your income on autopilot. And hey, watch your wealth grow over time. 11. INVEST IN WHAT YOU KNOW: The better you know an industry or niche, the more likely you'll be able to spot ideas that could possibly create massive amounts of income for you in the future. And when you do invest in something that you know, be sure to track it vehemently. 12. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS While you can get rich by working as an employee, it's far more difficult. Instead, you should start your own business and mind that business. Put all your heart and soul into the business and keep working at it even if you fail. And if you do fail at it, even if that happens repeatedly, learn from those failures and grow. Henry Ford learned a lot through failure but didn't give up. Even though he went bankrupt once and was forced out of his second business, he didn't throw in the towel. He minded his own business. Every successful entrepreneur has failed. But the reason why they succeeded on such a massive scale was because they didn't give up. So, dear readers, I find this interesting, informative and inspiring. I hope you do too. check my signature: mychiconnect..com |

This lingering issue of black-soot in Port Harcourt has become a serious concern! If you go to Trans-Amadi slaughter every evening you will see the same thing.

Cruize306: Go to Mile 3 park, take a car going to Abua/Odual (Last time I entered it was N300). The bus will drop all the passengers at Abua Central. At that point, take the nearest bike and tell them you're going to Okoboh (its about N150). Okoboh is a nice village but last time I visited their network (MTN) was fluctuating and no light. I also know the principal, he's an understanding manThanks dear mr Cruize306, may God bless you! |
