In my view, the U.S. government is making a mistake by pursuing broad aid cuts. Such measures often place the greatest burden on ordinary citizens including the Nigeria Christians they're trying to fight for, who rely on essential services, while political leaders are far less likely to feel the immediate impact. A more targeted approach that holds those responsible accountable without harming vulnerable people would be more effective. |
I think state police can help improve security because officers will know their communities better and respond to crimes faster. It will also reduce the work of the Nigeria Police Force. But there are also concerns. Some people fear governors may use state police against political opponents. Some states may not have enough money to run it well, and there could be abuse of power if there are no proper checks. In my opinion, state police can work in Nigeria, but only if there are strong laws to stop abuse, proper funding, and independent bodies to hold officers accountable. |
Based on current form, my picks are: France to edge Spain in a very clsemifinal. France have been one of the tournament's strongest teams, and many analysts slightly favor them. England to narrowly beat Argentina. It's a true 50–50 matchup, but England have looked very composed in the knockout rounds. So my predicted final is: France vs England My score predictions: France 2–1 Spain England 2–1 Argentina (possibly after extra time) |

In saner cline countries with stronger democratic institutions—giving voters money, gifts, food, or other benefits in exchange for votes or to influence how they vote is generally considered vote-buying or bribery and is a criminal offence in many countries. |

Today I visited the INEC office in Ikorodu for biometric capture after completing my online voter registration. To my surprise, there were hundreds of people waiting, yet only one registration machine was available. When I asked the officials why only one machine was being used, I was told that seven machines had been allocated to the office but six had been taken to other locations within Ikorodu. I then requested the locations of these registration centers. Initially, no clear answer was provided. Later, I was given a list containing only village/community names and registration codes, without specific addresses or directions. My questions are: Why is only one machine available at the Ikorodu office despite the large turnout? Where exactly are the six other registration centers located? Why are the locations not clearly publicized with proper addresses? How are residents expected to find these centers? I believe INEC should provide clear and transparent information on the deployment of registration machines so that all eligible voters can access registration services without difficulty. Has anyone in Ikorodu seen these registration centers or successfully registered at any of the locations listed by INEC? Please share your experience. #VoterRegistration #INEC #Ikorodu |
Once more, attempts have been made to incite division between the Igbo and Yoruba communities, particularly as protests are emerging throughout the southwest in response to Fulani-related kidnappings in that region. It appears that certain Yoruba media outlets have begun disseminating propaganda aimed at diverting public attention from the Fulani issue towards the Igbo community. |
