They most likely will. I think they just need to be extended an invitation. They are part of the very few who identify simply as Nigerians and not Nigerian Americans. Frankly speaking, they also do not have a shot at playing for the US so Nigeria seem to be their only option.

Where is Obi going to get the votes that will make him emerge as president? This is the height of self-delusion. Votes are not won online, aunty! As it stands, sadly so, Atiku remains the only viable candidate of PDP. The others are noisemakers who may not even win their respective home states.

You guys are exaggerating Obi’s popularity. Has he been to the North to campaign? What about campaigning in the South? What about the West? His political impression is as good as zero there. Wike’s voice is way louder than Obi’s. The Wike himself still can’t win the south South votes.

Elections depend on numbers, not sentiments. The only South Easterner whose appeal is a bit national is Okorocha. But his people hate him. Umahi is hated more. Any Eastern politician who dines with other regions always gets blacklisted by his people. So how do you intend to produce a president who has not influence or friends outside the East?

For now, Soludo, if he doesn’t bow to clannish pressures, is the near future hope of an Easterner emerging as Nigerian president.

Hardly would you see a married Igbo man's shop without his wife working for him. Also,every Igbo husbands that die are believed to be killed by their wives especially if the husband is rich. Igbos shave their widow's hair too and make her wear black for months or years. If she is exonerated from dinhaving hand in her husband's death,her husband's brother would inherit all his properties and send her and her children packing to their village in the east.
