Good morning beautiful mummies, pls does anyone know how much bilirubin level test for jaundice cost. I noticed jaundice on my newborn and I hv been exposing him to sunlight for 4 days now and yet the kinda jaundice hasn't cleared.. His one week today and am planning of going for the test on Monday.. Pls share your experiences with me mummies, am kinda scared

U can get unripe pawpaw (small) like 3pcs from herbs seller cut it into chunks put all in a clean ragolis bottle and fill with clean water and give the water to ur baby.
U can use it alongside with ur doctors treatment

Mamas please since DS spat out the vaccine though not all will it still work? The nurse was just shouting (one of the reasons why I don't like health centers) and telling me I wasted their money like it's hers I felt really bad.
Then since yesterday their poo has been smelling sour kind of and it's more frequent, could it be the vaccine that caused it?

Motherhood is one tedious job I swear.

thats what most people I know use for baking cakes and it comes out fine. but for frying foods or eating bread is a no for me. cos it's tasteless and salty

It's a no no for me because it will come out salty maybe they've change the butter they use and u aren't aware am talking from experience believe me U don't wanna bake ur cake with simas ooo

Lol. Sorry. The simas I know is mainly used in mixing barter (hope I got that right) for cakes and pastries.

No oo simas is a no go area for cakes and pastries ooo .

Pls i need clarification on this new vaccination for measles organised by the government. I heard it is different from the one taken at 9months .

*them say* it's a bonus for measles it's for age 9month to 5years. If your child has taken the 9mth vaccines at immunisation it doesn't matter this vaccine is given door to door or at school. My son for a shot last week and no fever at all no swelling no itching.

Simas of all butter simas is not for pastries ooo it's only for rice the salt level no be here. Pls endeavour to check and taste what u are giving ur child b4 u give him/her even if it's cereal taste it first. u can try napal butter, oldenburger(unsalted)..

You're doing your best, just keep trying, anything you see that he likes give him consistently and try and sneak nutritious food into it. 7 to 8 spoons is ok, increase frequency of feeding to maybe 2 hourly. If he likes to feed himself give him chunks of apple/banana/carrots (steamed) to hold and be chewing. Even if he eats half and throws it away at least something has entered his stomach

Let hubs sef try and feed him, its easy to talk when you're not the one dealing with the drama. On the other hand, the boy may collect the food better from a different person. The day I got to my son's creche and they were feeding him I almost fainted. He sat gently opposite his nanny and was opening his mouth like a responsible citizen of Nigeria, no need for bib, no standing up, no running about, no kicking the plate sef meanwhile at home I hold him on my lap, hold one hand and tuck the other one under my armpit before we can eat

Queensnow, if you have explained, give the baby to his dad. Why tell, when you can show. Let him feed his son and see if it's easy. That's the only solution I can see.

No need to cook the avocado. For apple puree, steam then blend. I haven't tried that other route.
