Don Jazzy
Before Mavin Records Don Jazzy signed a forgettable production deal with GOOD Music. That deal remains one of the worst business decision in the history of Nigerian music. It was the beginning of the end of him and his partner Don Jazzy.
Don Jazzy appeared to walk out of that deal before 1 year and he said in an interview that he wished he didn’t sign it

Wizkid
Akon announced Wizkid has signed a deal with Konvict in 2012.
Excited Akon took to Twitter that year to tweet “It’s official, Konvict/EME is now the official label for Wizkid worldwide. Wow. Hope you ready”.
The Konvict deal opened door for Wizkid internationally but looks like it has expired now.

P-Square
Despite their impeccable level of success and legendary status, music duo P-Square proceeded to sign a deal with Universal Music Group in South Africa, 2012.
The deal was signed during the May D days.
Coupled with signing with Universal in 2012, they also had a deal in place with Akon’s Konvict around that time. It is fair to say P-Square benefited from their international deals because of the success of their tours.

Yesterday, HKN chief Davido signed what looks like a mouth watering deal with Sony Music. According to Davido, he is the first Nigerian artiste to sign that kind of deal, that is untrue. Nigerian music stars have hustled for top international music and distribution deals in the past, even before Davido recorded the first song of his career.

After breaking through the tough storm of Nigerian music business Patoranking proceeded to sign a distribution deal with VP Records, a record label that is famed for housing some of the biggest dancehall stars in the world.
How the deal has affected Patoranking ’s career cannot be pinpointed out exactly as he was destined for great things before the deal. Patoranking is due for an album but is yet to put one out, might be because of complications on album rights.

'Sekem’ crooner, MC Galaxy, is reportedly set to drop a new song and video featuring Brandon Howard, rumored son of Late Micheal Jackson .
The singer’s rep confirmed the news, saying it is indeed true that the duo are set to collaborate on a new song.
To further confirm the news, MC Galaxy himself posted a photo of himself with Brandon and a couple of friends. He also released a video on youtube where he and Brandon are seen dancing to his hit single, ‘Sekem.’

Legendary singer, Tuface Idibia, has finally spoken about the Dammy Krane and Wizkid fight at club Quilox on January 15, 2016.
Tuface, who was recently at a radio interview on Wazobia FM to promote his new single, ‘Coded Tinz’, weighed in on the fight.
According to Tuface:
Mehn…I was really disappointed, you know, considering both of them na my people, and most importantly, Dammy and Wiz have been good friends; but I am glad they quickly put it all behind them and made peace.
In as much as it is very bad to jack another man’s property, it is also your responsibility to protect your property.
Recall Dammy Krane had gone on social media to accuse Wizkid of stealing his ‘Shit,’ an accusation that eventually ended up in Wizkid, injuring Dammy Krane at the club.

2016 has started properly and many musicians are currently in the studio putting in work as they prepare to own the year.
While Olamide has been involved in several 2016 releases he is particularly looking forward to a collaboration with eLDee who has been retired for the most part of the past few years.

Another beef is brewing between Ace producer Shizzi, comedian/ singer Tunde Ednut and producer Masterkraft.
However, instead of taking to Twitter to spill his feelings and call names, Shizzi has decided to drag comedian/musician Tunde Ednut Masterkraft to court like a boss.
According to TheNET The serial hit-
maker is very pissed, because Tunde Ednut allegedly stole his beat/instrumental to make his latest song titled ‘Kosowo‘ which
is produced by MasterKraft.

Their sources also revealed that Shizzi’s lawyers have formally written to Tunde Ednut and Masterkraft to promptly take-down all the download links for the song
and desist from all promotion of it.
According to Shizzi, he made the Beat for Wande Coal back in May 2014, who at that time freestyled on it before parting ways with his former manager, Bankulli.
Sources tell NET that Tunde Ednut may have heard the beat from Wande Coal and had another producer (Masterkraft) re-work it
for him.
