Lai Mohammed is from Oro(Igbomina), so, he is a yoruba man. There are both Emirs and Obas in Ilorin, but we only have Obas in Igbomina and Offa

Both, Igbominas and Offa people are yorubas while ilorin consist of yorubas and hausas
