SlimAdenike:Exactly. Because the truth can be manipulated by that third party for their own benefit. |
nellyalph:Ahan. What will now tempt you, ehn? A catfight between Ga Eun and Hwa Gun? Lol. |
SlimAdenike:It is fine jare. That episode 27 was brilliant by the way. I like how they were able to portray Lee Sun's actions as the result of a supposed betrayal rather than just jealousy. So you can't really hate him for what he did. |
Atk01:That's the same way they rewrote Lady Hee Bin in Jang Ok Jung: Live in Love to make her more a more sympathetic character than history suggests. I guess that's the beauty of dramatizations: one can play ten ten with historical facts in order to tell a compelling story. |
Nobody is talking about Queen for 7 Days. Abi is the drama not that good no? Me I'm waiting for it to end before possibly watching it. After Rebel I need a small break from depictions of Yeonsangun's tyranny. |
SlimAdenike:Haba. See spoiler ó. Beht why? ![]() |
#Ruler episodes 25-26 The crown Prince and Lee Sun are both idiots, wrangling over a woman as if she were chattel to be carted away at their whims. Seriously guys, just ask her what she wants and respect her wishes. The two of them are arrogant and selfish, always making plans for her without her input. Also, Lee Sun is right: the Crown Prince is a coward. Always forming knight in shining armour and yet he cannot come clean with her ad reveal who he really is. Can't wait to see Ga Eun's reaction when she discovers that she has been in love with an alias. Hwa Gun's character just keeps growing on me. Here is someone who says her mind, who does what she wants to do and accepts the consequences of her actions without complaint. She, unlike that coward of a Crown Prince (Hehe), is the real MVP. |
bosslady1991:Hehe. To be fair she is an incurable repeat offender and her conduct so far, whatever her reasons, are unbecoming of the royal institution she represents. But of course they weren't clamoring for her deposition out of patriotism. |
So who else is into Chinese historical drama? These are the ones I've watched sofar. 1. The Princess Weiyoung. This is the one that started it all for me. Was looking for one Korean drama on Sojuoppa and saw this one. Decided to give the first episode a try and ended up finishing my monthly subscription 25 days early. Good story and cast; bittersweet but realistic ending. 2. Empress of China. About China's only female queen regnant Wu Zeitian from her humble beginnings as a mere concubine. Stuck around the mammoth 74 episodes mostly for the eye candy (Fan Bing Bing and the rest) and the sprawling Tang customes but the story kind of sucked. 3. Empresses in the Palace/Legend of Zhen Huan. Ó boy, this one starring Sun Li is the best Palace drama/harem politics drama I've ever watched bar none. Better than anything comparable the Koreans have been able to come up with. The leads and supporting cast really gave a good account of themselves. 4. Nirvana in Fire. Hehe. I thought nothing could top the amount and depth of scheming in historical dramas like The Great Queen Seondeok and Six Flying Dragons until I watched this one. Jesus. If you will only watch one Chinese historical in your life this is the one to go for. 5. Scarlet Heart. Currently watching this one, the original Chinese version that the Koreans adapted into Moon Lovers. Watching it on the Dramafever App (almost impossible to find any good quality, well-subbed uploads elsewhere) and I must say it focuses more on plot development than the Korean one. Digging the male and female leads. |
My Sassy Girl episodes 13-14...... After a lot of episodes of pointless faffing about, s**t just got real. "depose the Princess! " Hopefully, they will retain the new serious streak and not go back to the nonsense climbing over walls stuff. Master of the Mask, the scriptwriter needs serious flogging. So many plot holes and illogical behaviour by the characters. Something major needs to happen soon to salvage that drama. If not for the leads I would have stopped watching since. |
bosslady1991:Yeah, that's the thing with Korean scriptwriters: they're seldom ambitious when it comes to the live triangle thing, especially in Sageuk. The CP will prolly just use her help and then dump her at the end with the excuse he doesn't love her. Nonsense. It would be nice if he slowly develops some feelings, however small, for her too, especially after getting to know how she saved his life all those years ago with that death-faking drug. |
vikkytan49:Her character actually reminds me of the motto of House Tully in Game of Thrones: Family. Duty. Honour. For her it is probably Love. Duty. Family. In that order. Seeing as she has little qualms about toppling her father who is her immediate family I think her conflict throughout the series will be between duty (to Pyunsoo Group) and love. |
vikkytan49:I have a feeling she might end up as queen to the CP. I'm tired of the unrequited lover always losing out completely at the end and either dying or leaving. Some other ending would be refreshing for a change. And in this case she deserves it seeing as she has the pedigree, connections and intelligence to be queen. |
nellyalph:She is going to do that by helping the queen as long as their surface objectives remain the same. It is that simple. And through helping the queen (and exploiting the favour of the fake king) she will rise through the ranks and slowly build her own power to the point where she will become a force to reckon with in the Palace. In essence the Crown Prince will fight Daemok outside while she will wage war inside the palace We should not expect that because she is the heroine she will magically have the power to just fight Pyunsoo Group just like that. Even had her father not died she would still have been the powerless daughter of a powerless official. Her going into the Palace is to earn the power to fight those people. Just like the Crown Prince had to spend 5 years earning the backing of the peddlers (and, by implication, the common people) and the merchants, she also has to spend time making alliances. She has chosen the Palace as her battlefront and her war there just started. Moral of this long sermon: have patience. |
I've observed that some of the room inmates from last session still occupy some of the rooms being cleared for new masters students at wing A of Henry Carr. Is there no way to enforce their packing out or something? Tis kinda annoying to move in and see someone else still occupying the place when he ain't your legal co-roomie for the session. And instead of leaving the keys at the porters, they would come and go with it, asking the new peeps to call or text them. Wharisit na? *vexing* |
Melcapital:Congrats, Sir. So have I. Ecobank seems to be the only authorized collector. |
BJOO:45.5k |
StringAngel:Weird. |
Melcapital:No o. Friday is the deadline, though. I intend to pay tomorrow. Thanks. |
StringAngel:I believe so. The spgs peeps did state that a certain number of rooms would be set aside for each department, depending on the ratio of students admitted to department/total number of students admitted. So, when I went online, I guess the slots allocated to MY department hadn't been filled up. |
oluwagream:Wow. I didn't see the accommodation tab until close to 11 o. I guess the peeps in my department weren't fast enough. It is now I know diaris God *waves Jesus flag* |
Mblem:UBA, WEMA, First, Access, Ecobank |
mtor:Yes o. Turned out the lecturer gave false info. Or perhaps that was his opinion. Mehn, I tells you. Na digital miracle. I saw room numbers in red, almost 80%, showing those had been occupied. Clicked one of the green ones showing 2 spaces, network was slow, reloaded a few seconds later and 2 don become one! Ehn ehn, I hurriedly clicked whatever green dot my pointer next touched. Who wan die? Tried for a friend 3 minutes later. No space! |
oluwagream:Hehehehehe. The thing na die o. I secured one too! Was in the middle of a lecture sef. Etisalat's poor network almost ruined my efforts. Chai. |
Percentile:Of course. You can still defer the admission till next session. However, you'll have to pay tuition fees again when next session comes around. You won't have to pay the obligatory again, though. |
kimco:hmmmm! Well, all blackberry plans in Nigeria max out at 3GB. Isn't the size of the game supposed to be more than that? I don't have a good wifi source around. |
ugonna1054:Dude, please how did you install it? Where did you get the disc? As for your question, just go to settings > controller, then select your pads for controller one and two. |
Biko, you guys shhould me please. Bought the pes 15 disc from some roadside peeps sha. The installation stage didn't complete. Got the error message "Setup was not completed Please correct the problem and run setup again Decompression failed with error code -6" Please someone in the know should tell me how to go about things. I'm tired of playing pes 13. Gracias. |
mtor:My department actually had their own project defence in December. I know because I was told by two of them. Where the shekau is the academic calendar sef? I'm yet to see it. Got any links, Mtor? |
mtor:Dunno sha. I think there is a bit more flexibility with regards to Masters programmes, especially when contrasted with first degree programmes which are always uniformly streamlined. |
StringAngel:Na so my brother. Na so. |
StringAngel:Well, actually, he is pretty much in the know of things. I studied there for my BA so I have a pretty good idea of how 'involved' each lecturer is. |
