I am graduate of chemical ENgineering, Nigeria is a blessed country with resource population, i have to comment and thank one of our great nigerian INNOSON, THE FIRST MADE IN NIGERIAN CARS,BUSES ,TRUCKS. I am happy with this man. HISTORY OF THE MAN The youngest among six children, Chief (Dr) Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma (OFR), was born into the family of Mr & Mrs Chukwuma Mojekwu of Uru- Umudim, Nnewi, in Anambra State, without the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. But, what he lacked in affluent parental background, he made up for with intelligence, hard-work, discipline and business acumen - qualities that have continued to interplay remarkably in his many ventures. In February 2007, Chukwuma embarked on what some analysts perceived then as a mission impossible, when it incorporated INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited (IVM), to produce sundry commercial automobiles, utility vehicles and passenger cars, in collaboration with a consortium of Chinese auto manufacturers. With the public display of some of the vehicles at the 2nd Nnewi International Auto Trade Fair held at the Beverly Hills Hotels (Gabros Sports Complex) in the last quarter of 2009, IVM did not only silence the critics, but made a bold statement about its readiness to achieve the avowed mission of being the first (indigenous) auto maker to produce truly Nigerian vehicles that are affordable and reliable. IVM is today a success story which has attracted effusive commendations and awards from various quarters, including the nation's seat of power. While opening the plant on October 15, 2010, President Goodluck Jonathan not only hailed Chukwuma for the courage of venturing into an industry many ran away from, but also assured him of government's patronage from the government. Thank you. Let me say something, we are all nigeria let discourage sentiment in our mind, i am from the northern part of nigeria, let support any body ready to bring change in our great nation, forget calling ur self am from S.S, N.E S.W...... you are not the one that make your self from that region, if you have any innovation that will help this nation please bring it out, secondly let me call the attention of our local graduate, dont let your final year project to end in the university what you think you make in as a project will not make sence to you is sensible to others, God bless you all. www..com/talk/topic,167640.0.html |

LAGOS— Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has sent an open letter to former President Goodluck Jonathan seeking explanations from him on what he knew on the diversion and sharing of over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms to fight Boko Haram. SERAP’s Executive Director, Mr Adetokunbo Mumuni, in a letter, which read in part, said: “SERAP is sending you this open letter to seek explanations from you, as former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, on what you knew, or had reason to know on the apparent diversion and sharing of the over $2 billion meant to purchase arms to empower Nigerian soldiers to fight Boko Haram. “SERAP considers that there is enough material in the public domain to suggest that over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms to equip Nigerians soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North East of the country was diverted and shared among high-ranking government and party officials under your watch as President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces. “SERAP and indeed Nigerians reserve the right to pursue justice through appropriate national and international accountability mechanisms to ensure that everyone involved in this heinous crime is brought to justice in accordance with international standards of fairness. “Is it correct to suggest that the budget of over $2 billion to purchase arms for Nigerian soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North-East of the country was authorised by you or your office? In other words, did your former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) seek your approval to collect from the Central Bank of Nigeria the over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms for Nigerian soldiers? “If so, Nigerians would like to hear from you whether the apparent diversion and sharing of our commonwealth by your former NSA was expressly or implicitly authorised by you. “Is it then correct to suggest that the former NSA implements presidential decisions and not make them? If so, is it also correct to suggest that the apparent diversion and sharing of the over $2 billion meant for purchase of arms was a presidential-level decision and that you signed off on it? “Is it not correct to suggest that your administration acted on the basis that it was essentially unrestrained by international or Nigerian law in engaging in or encouraging the apparent diversion and sharing of the over $2 billion meant to purchase arms for Nigerian |
The leader of the Shi’ite Islamic group in Nigeria, Ibrahim El-zakzaky, has been arraigned at the Chief Magistrate Court 1, Zaria Road, Kaduna and charged with criminal conspiracy and inciting public disturbances. El-zakzaky who was arraigned alongside some followers by the police, was however remanded in prison custody. It could not be confirmed if the plea of the accused was taken or if they had legal representation. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole, told our correspondent on Tuesday that the Shi’ite leader was being prosecuted for incitement and public disturbances among other charges. She said, “The Shi’ite leader has been arraigned in court where he was charged with criminal conspiracy, inciting public disturbances among others; he has been remanded in prison custody and the case adjourned.” The Shi’ite members had had a clash with the Army about two weeks ago during which about 20 persons were killed. El-zakzaky was subsequently taken into custody by the Army before he was released to the police for investigation. The Army had accused the Shi’ite group of attempting to assassinate the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, but the Islamic movement said the soldiers simply attacked “defenseless people.” Following the bloody clash, armoured tanks were said to have demolished the Hussainiyya shrine and the residence of the leader of the sect in Zaria. |
