Obviouslyblunt:
these prices are a tad bit expensive. Op contact sellers like Gchuckz and Onyizee. I buy from these sellers.
Can you pls share their Nairaland profiles?

Tried searching for those names but nothing comes up.

I've seen someone with a similar enquiry here about two years ago, not sure how that was resolved.

Here's my observation:- The use of English as captured in the email gives me strong reasons to doubt it's authenticity.

Secondly, Embassies' legal counsels have their offices within the Embassy or Consulate, and not at a different address. Moreso, authentication of Government issued documents are done by the issuing authority - in your case, the Ministry of Interior.

I'll suggest you find the Embassy's telephone number or authentic emails on the website to verify.
davodyguy:
Why should he not enquire first from the embassy?

I'm not sure I've heard this before
Asking us to contact a gmail address was suspicious, but once they sent that invoice we knew this couldn't be legit.

I've sent everything to the embassy.

Lol, una no go hear word until they hold one person application because of your fanaticism for social media. You want to post post everything, you think other people dont receive similar mails, why dont they post here. Dont learn to be discreet with your life, be posting everything here.
You carry a whole mail wey embassy supposedly send post ham here, you still carry full details of the recipents on a public platform ?

I have heard, I have moved on. I wish you luck.
Thank you. Face your own problems and ignore what you can't meaningfully contribute to.

Bros, we dont need to know who and who sent you a mail concerning your application. I would never receive a mail from a consular or embassy and come here to share the content of that email and subject it to debate, especially if it is an ongoing visa application process which has not been finalised. I would never do that. I am just speaking on professional terms.
You inquire directly from the embassy or communicate to them by post.

We dont need the information here Ok. Thank you
Who made you gatekeeper?

Ignore the post if you can't give a helpful answer, and move on with your life. Is that hard for you?

These days i am beginning to wonder why everything is usually brought here. This is something very confidential. You will just go underground to investigate. The information the said person has shared here is not needed. Since you are an EU citizen. you have express entry to any european embassy.
Please let be guided with what we post here, these guys see everything. Go and make your investigations underground @racerve

Nice contribution Kel.
Can you clarify which part of my post is confidential?

I would be really careful.
Embassy lawyer ke. When did embassy start having lawyers that demand payment or doing marriage authentication. Surely the best route is to authenticate from the Government.
Whatever fees you will pay for visa will be stated outright and only goes to the parent country. Any other thing is to the VAC.
The tone isn’t right at all. And I say it as a lawyer myself.
Though the law firm mentioned appears to be legit, I would call them also and verify from them and have that on record.
Even if they claim they are consular lawyers. I would not put it past the Lagos staff to be conniving with the lawyer.
Basically be careful and look at any “evidence “ carefully.
Confirm from France embassy sef in Abuja and in France.
Apparently OBA OLUFON & CO is a sole proprietorship with an inactive CAC registration https://b2bhint.com/en/company/ng/oba-olufon-and-co--BN-2282532. There's absolutely no way they're working for an embassy.

I've forwarded everything to the French embassy. Hopefully this is enough for them to catch the insider.

Gurus in the house, I’m hoping someone can help me clarify an odd situation with my wife’s visa application.

I'm an EU citizen currently based in Nigeria, and we're applying for a short-stay visa for my wife.

She submitted the application a couple days ago, and we just received an email from the french consulate asking her to contact the "embassy lawyer" to authenticate our Nigerian marriage certificate (see the attached pics below).

After reaching out to the provided contact, the supposed lawyer has sent an invoice of 350k for authentication.

I'm pretty sure this is a scam, but the original email came from a legit address. Her application status on the TLS website still shows In Progress.

Has anyone received a similar request before?

you're right. The TV is worth the amount. It's almost 1.5m on fouani but reduce it small sha because it's easier to buy the new one on jumia than this at 1m. You didn't say anything about why you decided to sell. I know this one is uLED and jumia own is UHD but bro the average person won't know the difference oo
I’m selling as I want to upgrade to an OLED.

The price is negotiable, but I’m not in a rush to sell – so I'm happy to wait for the right offer.

Thanks for sharing your insights.

certainly not because for 1m i'm going for TCL or LG. Even if i'll go for hisense it must be at least 75 inches for used one.
No it's because you're focusing on brand names instead of specifications.

Go and check prices on Fouani before commenting, so you can provide an informed opinion.

Why are we so greedy that we sell our posterity into slavery. The moneys gotten from 20,000 acres from mechanized farming over 100 years is at least going to be 5,000 times the amount that would be paid for them. Why does Africa continually produce inept leaders without any futuristic ideologies or vision at all. Once they see a little piece, they loose control. This is an absolute wrong decision and a cover by Elon for a much bigger agenda
Remove your tinfoil hat.
