PoliticsRe: Elumelu Demands Pantami’s Resignation, Gbajabiamila Blocks Motion by racerve(m): 2:34pm On Apr 21, 2021
GOTVee:
sad As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, I'm ashamed of the level of hypocrisy displayed by we southerners especially we Christians in this incessant calls for Pantami's resignation. What has pantami done wrong for God's sake? How many of us don't have some misdeeds in the past? Why can't we practice the teachings of our lord Jesus christ who admonished us to love our neighbors as ourselves? When Nnamdi Kanu formed IPOB that later metamorphosed into a terrorist group we southerners were supporting him. Kanu was tried and convicted and became a fugitive yet we kept supporting him. Pantami has never been convicted nor tried in any court yet we are calling for his head. Are we not meant to be our brothers keeper? What proof do we Christians have to call him an extremist just because he mandated us to register for NIN. Why this sudden media trial and blackmail? Why can't we emulate northerners who always stand by themselves no matter what? Are we not ashamed that our country's name is been dragged in the mud by this baseless accusations? Pantami is going no where. We have terrible people amongst we Christians too but we shield them rather than call them out. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a Christian. Honestly sad
Ab0ki, park well.

Yes.

Although if you want to fund your account from Nigeria, you just have to take the same steps in reverse: buy USDT with Naira via Binance P2P.

In my own case I'm transferring money to myself from my foreign bank account. I deposit Euros in my Binance account via bank transfer, then convert to USDT.

If I'm sending to someone else, I ask them to create a Binance account, and then transfer the tokens from my account to theirs.

Cbn is doing 5 naira give away for every $1 you receive

Off topic I met a friend that just got back from UK he actually informed me about this loophole about a month ago he said he found out it is profitable to withdraw £ or $ inside banking hall then go exchange at a BDC and now cbn has made it a legal hustle
Why would anyone stress themselves going to queue up in the bank, only for them to tell you no dollar.

You try other banks, until you find one that can pay out.

Afterwards you go look for aboki. Aboki gives you Naira, then you go back to the bank for another round of queuing to deposit the money in your account.

All this stress for N5?

When I can fund my Binance account with USD and do P2P. Within 15mins I have the Naira in my bank account.

If Buhari is serious about increasing FX inflow, he would unify the exchange rate. No reason why banks can't convert FX remittances (at the market rate) and deposit the Naira equivalent in customers' account.

But he won't, because his fellow Aboki are the ones running BDCs.

Nigeria being a criminal enterprise doesn't mean English language will change to suit your fantasies.

How do you give someone a gift on his ancestral land?

Your argument on ownership of oil assets is the same argument plantation owners used.

More so he was not gifted like the likes of Alakija and T.Y. Danjuma and a host of others.

He earned his oil bloc and took time to develop it.
So because he's from the Niger Delta, his own wasn't a gift, but Danjuma's and Alakija's were? Which kind of primary school reasoning is this? Was Lulu-Briggs the only Niger Delta indigene in existence?

Babangida awarded his cronies oil block leases for $1.5m (with an exchange rate of N8 back then). How's that not a gift?

We had NNPC, so there was absolutely no reason to give these leases to private individuals. Or at least they could have been auctioned – instead of the arbitrary allocation that happened.

Lulu-Briggs is dead, but his children and grandchildren are the ones benefiting from it now. Long after we're all dead, their descendants will still be reaping the rewards of Babangida's cronyism.

But be here arguing that he earned it.

He was a businessman. You could have done a little research before throwing those jabs at him.
He was gifted an oil block in 1992, and had two decades of soaring oil prices.

That's a money-printing machine that would turn anybody into a business mogul.

He didn't directly steal anything. But he and his cohorts have been drinking up our future for personal gain.

The Mgbenyere man Wike declared wanted as IPOB leader is a confirmed Obigbo man.
What do you have to say about it?
His name is Stanley Mgbere, and he's from Eleme. If he's actually an IPOB member, this should tell you he's definitely using it as a cover to cause chaos.

He and his boys are loyal to Olaka Nwogu (former PDP House of Rep member), and they went to burn APC members' houses in Onne – which is why the bounty was issued.

No idea how IPOB entered that matter, as it was simply thugs acting against political opponents.

If the five Igbo states want to form your own country, biko go. Just leave us out of it. When una eyes clear, you'll realise there's more to building a country than rhetoric.

Similar advice for women: if you don't like a guy because he's too broke / short / quiet / ugly, reject him outright. Don't go along, saying you'll "manage" until you find someone better.

Everyone is entitled to have their own spec, so rejecting is better than wasting the guy's time.

The concern raised by PwC is about how to enforce the law and not whether it’s appropriate or not. Facebook, Netflix, and Twitter do not sell data to you so what’s your point?

Your initial post was to attack the entire idea and that is what I found appalling. I don’t get why a Nigerian should have a problem with the government asking companies making money from Nigeria to pay their fair share of taxes like every other corporate entity.
By your logic Facebook and Google need to establish a corporate presence in every country for tax purposes, because they both have a global userbase. Does that sound sensible to you?
CrimeRe: Peruzzi Accused Of Rape By Princes Jayamah. He Reacts by racerve(m):
If you regret having sex because you feel cheap, that's not rape.

If he begs and you open leg out of pity, that's not rape.

Rape only happens if you didn't give consent — either because you were intoxicated, or he forced himself on you. You can't retroactively withdraw consent after the deed, and then start crying rape.

With all that said, this is a serious criminal offence and every victim deserves to be taken seriously. Our legal system may not always work but it's there to safeguard our rights, so if you're the victim of a crime at least try to seek recourse through it. It's hard to take anyone seriously if they don't attempt to file a police report (out of fear or shame or whatever), but then decide to air accusations via social media. So we're supposed to automatically believe you because you say something happened?

The bed sharing, towel sharing, sits, couches, cutlery sharing, lack of social distancing, central ac etc... how did a whole cruise vessel contact the virus?..
Just because the hotels you lodge in reuse unwashed towels and cutlery between guests, doesn't mean that's normal.

The only thing that makes sense from your list is the lack of social distancing, and that isn't exclusive to hotels. Besides hotels can simply close down their lobbies and restaurants, advising guests to stay in their rooms as much as possible.

Which big hotels in PH are shut? Go to GRA and see for yourself.

State borders are closed, so everyone that was in PH on business when this issue started is stuck here. These people need somewhere to stay.

PoliticsRe: Wike Demolishes Prodest Hotel, Eleme In Rivers State (Pictures) by racerve(m): 5:28pm On May 10, 2020
Reference:
I think this is excessive. Though it is hard to sincerely defend the disobedience of official directives and laws of goverment I believe the law and justice are two sides of the coin that buys social stability and enhances the state of the nation.

When leaders execute laws they should consider the aspect of justice which simply says that, 'are you able to administer the same penalties in every and any instance such laws will be breached', if you cannot then it is better to reconsider the severity of the penalties.

If Wike cannot demolish every property of defaulters from now till Covid 19 is over then he should not have done this but rather considered a more viable and sustainable detterent.

If the next 'hotel' breaching lockdown is not demolished he will have egg on his face. If he demolishes the next 'hotel' then he is down a creek without a paddle. Wike is slowly boxing himself into an impossible corner with thoughtless acts that will damage him perhaps irreparably.

When leaders act it should always be from a depth of thought. Nigerians also should start electing leaders who act out of an abundance of thought, cerebral leaders that will succeed despite the environment they operate in.
You're assuming he cares. Someone that's suffering from bipolar disorder.

Wike doesn't think two steps ahead - he can only react to what's in front of him. This is same person that allowed churches to congregate for Easter during the lockdown last month.

Rivers people deserve what they're getting, since they put him there.

I'm sure they campaign against fornication as well but the topic is homosexuality.
Don't be ridiculous! Everyone here would protest if the government made extra-marital sex illegal, including me and you.

In any case, if you agree that fornication and homosexuality are both immoral based on your christian beliefs, why is it okay for one act to be legal and the other illegal? Because your version of christianity allows you to pick and choose what parts of the Bible to follow, when it's convenient for you.

The typical Nigerian christian is more likely to engage in fornication, so they condone it. Whereas homosexuality is abhorrent and should be illegal, because it's not something they can see themselves engaging in.
