The location of this interesting picture is identified as "The Green Pearl," featuring a unique wild pistachio tree growing through a massive boulder in the Arsanjan desert of Iran's Fars Province.
The tree is notable for its extreme resilience, having grown to encircle the rock for stability in an arid environment with very little annual rainfall. It has become a viral symbol of survival and nature's endurance.

Across other key indicators, Kenya also performs better. In the end, these indices clearly show that Kenya ranks higher than Nigeria on several development metrics. The standard of living of Kenyans is better than that of Nigerians.
If the President considers Kenyans to be suffering despite these stronger figures, then Nigerians are in a far more difficult situation. He should therefore refrain from self-consolation and, in honest reflection, take responsibility for the situation and make a determined effort to drive improvement.
This requires a posture of humility, accountability, and commitment to addressing the factors that have slowed Nigeria’s development.

In November 2022, while campaigning in Delta State, the then APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, now the President, berated the other Presidential Candidate (Peter Obi), he was ashamed to call his name, saying "Na statistics we go chop all I want is to put food on the table of Nigerians”.
Now 3 years into his 4-year tenure, Nigeria is classified as one of the hungriest nations in the world with millions of Nigerians not knowing where their next meal will come from.
President Tinubu is now overfeeding Nigerians with wrong Statistics from wrong unemployment figures, wrong inflation figures, and now GDP rebasing, all to put a positive spin on our deteriorating economic and household conditions.
Governance is not a rocket science, it's not a gamble, like I have always reiterated, it requires sincerity of purpose, character, competence, capacity and compassion.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
EXCERPTS FROM "Collector: Tinubu's Nigeria-Kenya Comparison In Focus" - Obi https://x.com/i/status/2043587000905736200 Like the Pharisee who boasted of his superiority over others to mask his own spiritual void, such downward comparisons serve more as a refuge than a remedy. This validated an earlier dismissive remark by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu during electioneering: “Na statistics we go shop?”
Yet statistics remain indispensable - they are the language through which nations understand their condition and chart progress. No country can develop in isolation from measurable realities or without comparing itself with peers.
Comparisons, when properly grounded, are not instruments of escapism but tools of accountability. What is objectionable is not comparison itself, but comparison stripped of credible, verifiable data, mere tax collector comparisons that soothe rather than solve.
On key development indicators such as security, the Human Development Index, life expectancy, GDP per capita, literacy levels, and electricity access, Kenya consistently outperforms Nigeria.
-1). Nigeria is the fourth most terrorised nation in the world, while Kenya is not among the ten worst.
-2). Kenya’s HDI ranking is 143 out of 180 countries, with a coefficient of about 0.630, compared to Nigeria’s ranking of 164 out of 180, with a coefficient of about 0.530.
-3). Kenya's GDP per capital is roughly $2,200–$2,300, compared to Nigeria’s $807–$835.
-4). Kenya’s poverty rate is about 43% of the population (approximately 23 million people), while Nigeria’s is about 63% (around 150 million people), over six times that of Kenya.
-5). Kenya’s life expectancy is about 67 years, while Nigeria’s is about 54 years.
-6). The literacy rate in Kenya is approximately 81–85%, compared to Nigeria’s 62–65%.
-7). Kenya’s electricity access is higher, while Nigeria has one of the lowest levels of electricity access in the world.
-8 ). Kenya has about 3.5 million out-of-school children, while Nigeria has about 20 million.
-9). Kenya’s inflation rate has been about 4.5% or lower over the past three years, while Nigeria’s has remained above 15% within the same period.
-10). Kenya’s exchange rate has been around USD 1 to KES 130 over the past three years, whereas Nigeria’s exchange rate rose from below ₦500/$1 to above ₦1,250/$1 within the same period.
Even with developments in the Middle East and rising oil prices, Kenyans have not experienced the sharp increases in petroleum product prices seen in Nigeria. "How the Power of Spoken Words without Action Contributes to Failure of Governance." nlfpmod |

A presidential media aide, Dada Olusegun, on Sunday said circulating a statement defending embattled Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, hours before its official release by the commission is part of his role as a propagator of the government’s good works.
Mr Olusegun, a member of the presidential media team, sparked public reactions, after posting a statement denying allegations that the INEC chairman supported Mr Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress during the 2023 general elections prior to his appointment.
While Mr Olusegun circulated the statement on X at 8:12 pm on April 10, the INEC (re)posted the same statement at 6:16 pm on April 11, hours behind that of the presidential aide, thereby eliciting questions from Nigerians.
Reacting to public reactions criticising his quick circulation of a statement by an independent commission defending its chairman, Mr Amupitan, against allegation of partisanship, Mr Olusegun in a post on X on Sunday, said “It is important to separate coincidence in messaging from conspiracy.”
He stated, “Public institutions routinely respond to issues that have already generated widespread public attention. Suggesting that a presidential aide wrote or influenced INEC’s statement is not only baseless, but also unfair.”
Explaining why he published a statement behalf of the INEC, Mr Olusegun said he did that based on his role as a propagator of good works of government. He also said he didn’t not author the statement. Mr Olusegun stated, “It is important to separate coincidence in messaging from conspiracy.”
Mr Olusegun stated, “My role remains what it has always been: to communicate, clarify, and propagate the good works of the President Tinubu’s administration alongside the Federal Government responsibly. I have no authority over INEC’s internal processes, and I did not draft any release on its behalf.”
However, a commenter on X with the username @tx4tax dismissed Mr Olusegun’s denial of not authoring the INEC statement, saying “There’s nothing you can say to cover what we all saw. You posted the same write-up hours before INEC, which sends a strong message that you’re working together. Should we assume INEC copied you? Bros, you lies stink. INEC chairman should RESIGN. Simple!”
Another X user, @slkie said, “You posted INEC press statement a full 24 hours before the official INEC handle posted the same thing. In your bid to satisfy your paymasters, you inadvertently exposed the link between yourself and INEC. It is clear INEC takes orders from those who have compromised our institutions and you’re the middle man. You leave so much shit, your incompetence is beginning to stink.”
Also, another X user, @EdwardOche64774, said, “I doubt you really know your job, otherwise you won’t put forth your statement to defend INEC chairman but it all happens to further expose the conspiracy theories of the APC. What you are doing now is simple damage control, but the revelation is done already, (the) coming days will tell.” https://gazettengr.com/defending-apc-linked-inec-chairman-amupitan-part-of-my-job-tinubus-aide/ nlfpmod
