You mean the same army that sent one bearded coward into exile in his wife wrapper?
Nope!
-The same army BH terrorists sacked @Nigerian Army University Biu Borno state.
-The same Army BH invaded NDA to helplessly adduct and killed some of its officers.
-Same Army that is recycling killers as repentant, deradicalised and rehabilitated terrorists.

Such a fast rise in the army. Abeg how was promotions being done then? Based on what? This was the kind of army that gave rise to Buhari, Dimka, and many others.

This is the man that has a hand in the events of July 28-31 1966 but refused to talk about it. Taraba state has no peace from his co-collaborators.

The last picture seems to be around the Broad Street area of Lagos Island close to CMS bookshop.

That day in 1979 that Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma was pulled-out of the Nigeria Army.

Sure you know this location in Lagos.

Lt Gen Danjuma served the Army from 1960-1979.

Now you know.

nobody is telling u to suffer or not revolt. What everyone is telling u is that u should go n revolt in your region. Simple
Everyone Nigerian has the constitutional cover to live, associate and protest against injustice and oppression irrespective of his location.

The opposite can only happen if the constitution have allowed regionalism or the contraption have been disintegrated into sovereign entities. If that has not happened, then STFU.

...We remember last year protest, they pulled out and said they weren't part of it
Always using warped prismatic worldview narrative just to justified evil. The Aba Women riot of 1934 arouse the need to fight for freedom from the oppressive colonial masters. Herbert Macaulay, Anthony Enahoro, Nnamdi Azikwe, Obafemi Awolowo and other picked it up.

The inglorious Babangida and Abacha era saw Yorubas caving in to the attendant reigne of terror. Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe choose to honorably resign his commission than to be part of IBB govt of oppression. Gen Diya stayed on with Abacha evil. When Abacha bared his fangs, Ukiwe, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu joined NADECO to fight him while Tinubu fled to Chicago Illinois to start Heroin drug running.

The #EndSARS protests were started by Yorubas (@Segalinks, @ who later backed out of cowardice but some Yorubas(@Falz, @mrmacaroni etc) and non-Yorubas of conscience who saw the need to fight for justice drove it on. People were massacred but denials met undeniable evidence.

These supporters of oppressors would rather want suffering citizens to continue to suffer that revolt or fight for what is legally theirs from the hands of their oppressors.

sreamsense:
However, since Tinubu helped defeated modern Biafra war initiated by Kanu and ekpa just within one year and liberated you from Monday-Monday self imprisonment, be rest assured that same Tinubu will end that of Benue soon
Tinubu did what? Guy you are hallucinating that is why you have never streamed any sense. Even the Biafran dream has never and will never be conquered by even the Nigerian civil war as Nigeria is yet to make any progress for its 65 years of forced & failed nationhood with despicable criminally minded fellas like Tinubu administering it

A Tinubu that is useless to Nigeria today, asking governors of beleaguered states to end insecurity? A C-in-C that belatedly abdicate his constitutional responsibilities but fled to cosy foreign hospitals for healthcare and safety?

Ogun people fled to Benin Republic to seek refuge from Fulanis. Do you know how many hapless citizens have been killed while the govt is still seating a lame duck? You must be a biggest joker of the century.

Yes! Tiv won with Nigeria against Biafra but Benue and Taraba state today occupied by the Tivs are unabating theatres of unending bloodshed & killing spree by the same jihadists they connived with.

Have Nigeria ever been better off? Karma have been dishing it out red, red hot and it ain't gonna end. Kwara state is now the latest bandits ravage state in the SW. What have you got to say about that?

Always watching the body movement of the govt and the courts to do what is right. Perhaps INEC can fight it anymore or now tired of it own charade and facade. The most useless government agency in Nigeria today. Not even the NPF but INEC.

So much Tiv people in the Nigerian army. From the time of Wuam(NDA Course 1) to Victor Malu( NDA Course 3) and to late Major Gideon Gwarza Orkar( NDA Course 12) among many. Well Nothing new!

They are well known brave warriors from antecedents especially in their numerous fights with the Jukuns.

A son's perspective in history.

Col Jerome Wuam an NDA Regular course one officer was commissioned Nigerian Army second lieutenant on 18th march,1967 together with his course mates amongst whom were Generals Oladipo Diya,Saliyu Ibrahim,Joshua Dogonyaro,Aliyu Gusau,Mamman Kontagora,Alison Madueke amongst others.

As a captain during the Biafran civil war,a frontline federal forces fighting company of troops under his able command came under ambush of heavy enemy fire during which he was shot in the left leg and demobilized and unable to keep phase with the advance or retreat.

He concealed unnoticed in the south eastern bushes for five days during which fate kept him from the sighting by the eagle eyes of crisscrossing path route threading of enemy forces; eventually sighting friendly federal forces,as the wounded captain Jerome beckons on his comrades and is evacuated from the frontlines to military hospital in Lagos, escaping a near amputation medical verdict.

He soon recuperates,is discharged and resumes to regimental posting to continue his national military service to father land in several positions amongst which included:
-1). Staff officer ministry of defence Lagos,
-2). Assistant QMG 2Div Ibadan,
-3). Commander 4 Division Garrison Ikeja.
-4). Colenel General Staff( GS ) 82 Div Enugu, rising to the rank of colonel in 1980.

By day break of 24th august 1982 at the family Enugu GRA residence he failed to come downstairs for routine early breakfast and departure to office at HQ 82 Division Enugu under the then Command of Major General Zamani Lekwot.

After the alarm of suspicion by family he was soon confirmed dead on examination in his bedroom bed by the handsome mustache wearing army medical colonel doctor who had been summoned for a probable first aid.

Two years after his demise I gain admission into NMS in 1984. Major Mbakwe our maths teacher walks into the classroom during lecture hour with our marked maths test scripts previously written. He separates those who failed, lining us up for flogging for daring to fail his test.

It was now my turn to receive my strokes of the cane,he stares at me curiously as if some familiar fellow, looks at my name tag "you are son to late Colonel Wuam, yes,i can see the resemblance. You are his carbon copy.

He captured me during the civil war when i was fighting on the Biafran side" as if saying 'now i have captured you for been on the maths test failing side'. The strokes landed on my buttocks after which he charged me to "go and excell like your father, i will be watching you".

Having a deep understanding of Lagos's history, I recall the characteristics of true Lagosians from my childhood. They were known for their education, sophistication, and civility.

Visiting a typical Lagosian household provided valuable lessons in etiquette. Children from affluent families attended institutions like Kings College and St. Gregory's, while others went to schools such as CMS.

Being a Lagosian meant embodying refined behavior, speech, and appearance. True Lagosians were not involved in thuggery; instead, they enjoyed social gatherings with like-minded individuals and expatriates, treating everyone with respect regardless of their social standing.

I remember accompanying friends to the Ikoyi Club or Lagos Country Club in Ikeja, observing Lagosians interacting, which created an atmosphere reminiscent of London.
Well said sir. Remember same with nostalgic memories. Same experience when visiting my aunt's family @ Liverpool area of Apapa back then.
