Resignation or not, Bayo Adelabu is utterly useless to the Nigerian nation like the uselessness that appointed him power minister. They are all bunch of unimaginable failures Nigeria never deserves
In a country where poverty is widespread, a bag of rice today often means more to a struggling family than promises of a better economy tomorrow. Tinubu understands this and may use it to his advantage.
But the truth must be told: the success of the rice strategy has contributed to the regression of the Nigerian state. Hunger has been weaponised, and the people are bought cheaply.
".....The Fulani causing security problems in the country were.......Influx of Fulani from neighboring countries like Sierra Leone, Mali, Senegal, Niger and Chad brought into the country for election purposes in 2015.
After the election, the Fulani have refused to leave. I and other like minds wrote and warned those we started APC with that this was going to happen but nobody listened,”
They don't even believe in what they are saying. Imagine these band of useless legislathieves sarcastically addressing a nation that has been reeling from the utter failure of their irresponsibility.
Meanwhile some stupid people like Simon Lalong marketed this evil in Nigeria but today keeping quiet. General Gowon what are you doing about these barbaric killings on the Plateau? What kind of a nation is this for goodness sake?
The German government said it rejected Mr Fani-Kayode’s nomination due to his “erratic behaviour, controversial past statements, particularly his divisive ethnocentric, tribalistic, and religious fundamentalist comments in Nigeria”, which the European country said was “destabilising”..
This is the consequence of appointing despicable corrupt people to represent a country.
Political alignment and realignment. Abba Kabir is toast in Kano. Can't believe this man will join Gandollar despite what Kwankwaso did for him. The betrayal will be well returned.
What about Tinubu forgery and perjury of graduating from Govt College Ibadan and Lagos before those schools were even formed? Who do you want to deceive?
My friend let the fraudulent fella explain the inconsistency in his birthday himself. So much criminal baggage for a man
Governor Mufwang why have your joining the APC not quench the genocide on the Plateau as you decleared when you defected?
The limits of wicked men in power is determined by the resilience of those they oppress. Do you want to fight or be a victim. Plateau people have taken their stand against the govt of Jihadist.
gerrardomendes: Jacob Van - Xanten or so. With over 30 years flight experience. One of the best. The junior officers argued that there was not enough distance of intervisibility but he didn't listen...
Yes! So so terrible I tell you. His family needs to feel the pain of the over 500 families mourning love ones.
See as the thread just dry like a graveyard. Even his high graded mummified zombies are not impressed or agree with this shit. It is a function of time.
The warning signs were not hidden in classified vaults or encrypted ledgers. They were in the open: embedded in a culture that celebrated proximity to power over fidelity to duty.
A culture in which the presidency itself, as I wrote then, “demands neither performance nor responsibility for non-performance of his appointees.”
Lack of personal accountability, good state institution for check-and-balance and and then sadly, an utterly corrupt judiciary.
These are genesis and sustained basis of the institutional corruption decaying the foundations of Nigeria today
The stubborn KLM captain just took more than 500 lives of innocent people. This was just a monumental disaster in aviation world. God rest the soul of those the world lost. It was indeed a sad avoidable tragedy
Clipper Victor - the Panam plane involved in this unfortunate collision accident seemed destined because it has some unique history in the advent of jumbo jet in long distant flight aviation history.
-1). It is the First Jumbo Jet to Undergo Testing and Subsequently, Enter Commercial Aviation History
February 9, 1969.Grey skies over Everett, Washington. A crowd gathered along the runway. Cameras ready, because this wasn’t just another test flight. It was a gamble. It looked too big to fly… which is exactly why everyone was watching.
At 11:34 a.m., Jack Waddell advanced the throttles. The Boeing 747, the largest passenger aircraft ever built at the time began to roll. Slowly at first. Then faster. At 164 mph, the nose lifted. And just like that,it flew.
They called the aircraft “City of Everett.” There were just three men on board. The flight lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. When Waddell stepped off the aircraft, he didn’t describe it as difficult. He called it: “a pilot’s dream.” Said he could fly it with just a thumb and forefinger.
Which feels almost understated, given what it represented. Because at that point, Boeing had effectively bet the company on this aircraft. Critics had been quite clear: Too big. Too heavy. Too risky. And yet, in a single flight..those concerns became harder to sustain.
Less than a year later, Pan Am flew the first commercial 747 from New York to London. Over time, Boeing would build 1,574 of them. And the aircraft that wasn’t supposed to work became something else entirely. The Queen of the Skies.
On the 27th of March, 1977, the deadliest accident in commercial aviation history occurred at Los Rodeos Airport in Tenerife, resulting in 583 fatalities. Dense fog, diverted traffic, and critical miscommunications led to a runway collision between two Boeing 747 aircraft operated by KLM and Pan Am.
The two aircraft had landed at Los Rodeos earlier that Sunday and were among a number of aircraft diverted to Los Rodeos due to a bomb explosion at their intended destination of Gran Canaria Airport. Los Rodeos had become congested with parked planes blocking the only taxiway, forcing departing aircraft to taxi on the runway. Patches of thick fog were drifting across the airfield, so visibility was greatly reduced for pilots and the control tower
The KLM crew initiated their takeoff run without authorization while the Pan Am jet was still taxiing down the same active runway. According to the official cockpit voice recorder transcript, the KLM flight engineer questioned the situation by asking, "Is he not clear then, that Pan Am?" The highly experienced KLM captain ignored the question and continued the takeoff.
The incident occurred at 5:06 pm GMT (UTC +0) in dense fog, when KLM Flight 4805 initiated its takeoff run, colliding with the starboard side of Pan Am Flight 1736, which was on the runway. The impact and the resulting fire killed all 248 people on board the KLM plane and 335 of the 396 people on board the Pan Am plane, with all 61 survivors being in the front section of the latter aircraft.
An investigation by Spanish authorities concluded that the primary cause of the accident was the KLM captain's decision to take off in the mistaken belief that air traffic control (ATC) had issued takeoff clearance. Dutch investigators placed a greater emphasis on a mutual misunderstanding in radio communications between the KLM crew and ATC, but ultimately KLM admitted that its crew was responsible for the accident and the airline agreed to financially compensate the relatives of all of the victims.
The crash caused the aviation industry to completely change flight deck procedures and communication standards. Investigators determined that the rigid rank structure of the cockpit prevented junior crew members from challenging a captain's decisions. In response, airlines implemented Crew Resource Management training, which mandates that all crew members state safety concerns regardless of their rank. As noted in Federal Aviation Administration training documents, "high technical proficiency cannot guarantee safe operations in the absence of effective crew coordination." Furthermore, international regulators standardized aviation radio phrases, ensuring the word "takeoff" is exclusively used when clearance is actively given or canceled, preventing similar misunderstandings.
We'll never forget the 583 lives that were lost that day 💔.
Here’s the Pan Am cockpit crew shortly after the crash: Captain Victor Grubbs and First Officer Robert Bragg.
And for anyone wondering, yes the Pan Am flight deck crew survived the impact (Captain, First Officer, and Flight Engineer George Warns)
It is an interesting split Kwankwaso/Gawuna - Ganduje/Abba Kabir swap power tussle. Kano is about to witness another political re-alignments. Tinubu desperation have lighted up a fuse.
