PoliticsRe: This APC Campaign Poster From Ten Years Ago Is Shocking Today by Racoon(m): 12:36pm On Mar 28
"A party that sees black and calls it white can never fix Nigeria. This APC convention has only shown Nigerians one thing clearly: APC loves itself, its members, and its own interests more than the growth of the country.

If they cannot even scrutinize themselves, how can they fix Nigeria? If they cannot honestly appraise their own performance, how can they move the nation forward?
Saying Tinubu saved Nigeria from economic disaster is laughable when the same disaster was caused by the same party.

Have they ever openly admitted that Buhari’s government was a failure? No. Instead, they keep pretending Nigerians have forgotten who led this country into deeper hardship.

And while they claim they are “saving Nigeria,” they are busy buying yachts, private jets, exotic cars, renovating the Vice President’s residence, and spending recklessly on luxuries that do nothing to reduce the suffering of ordinary Nigerians. Is that what saving a country looks like?

This is the same party that conveniently skipped over Buhari’s disastrous regime just to condemn Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan’s administrations. That alone exposes the hypocrisy and dishonesty in their politics.

A failed party built on a failed structure can only keep recycling failure. Nigerians deserve better than propaganda, excuses, and recycled incompetence..."

They better start to dey execute them publicly, so it will send a clear warning to others.
No need! The armed forces should eliminate them straight once located. “They will simply exploit these initiatives whenever it benefits them. So no amount of goodwill gesture or appeasement will end terrorism in Nigeria.

Terrorists never surrender out of remorse.
So it can never be a comprehensive solution compared to decisive kinetic action.”

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, Rejects Amnesty for “Repentant Terrorists,” Says Force Is the Only Solution and Calls for Decisive Military Action

The Nigerian Armed Forces, through its newly established Joint Doctrine and Welfare Centre, on Tuesday commenced an inaugural lecture in Abuja, an initiative spearheaded by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede.

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has declared that appeasement and goodwill gestures cannot end terrorism in the country, insisting that only decisive force will produce lasting results.

Speaking at the Nigerian Armed Forces’ inaugural lecture at the Joint Doctrine Centre in Abuja, he stated, “No amount of goodwill gesture or appeasement will end terrorism in Nigeria. It can never be a comprehensive solution compared to decisive kinetic action.”

He warned that terrorist groups exploit peace initiatives, adding, “They will simply exploit these initiatives whenever it benefits them. Terrorists never surrender out of remorse.”

According to him, such groups only lay down their arms when they are overwhelmed. “They lay down their arms only when they are facing certain defeat, and suddenly, they claim to be repentant,” he said.

Footage from the event shows General Oluyede addressing an audience of senior military officers and civilians, including personnel from the army, air force, and other branches gathered in a large auditorium.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Was ₦97 Under Jonathan, Why Are Nigerians Silent At ₦1350 Today? by Racoon(m): 4:41pm On Mar 26
Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi admitted that the 2012 "Occupy Nigeria" fuel subsidy protests were driven by political interests and opposition politics rather than genuine conviction, stating that he and his colleagues in the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) knew the subsidy was unsustainable but used it to target President Goodluck Jonathan.

Fayemi described the 2012 protests against Jonathan’s administration as a political maneuver, acknowledging that the APC opposition at the time played politics with the truth about the necessity of subsidy removal. Despite the 2012 resistance, Fayemi maintained that removing the subsidy was necessary for the country's economic health.

PoliticsBoko Haram Holds Prayers In The Mandara Mountains by Racoon(op): 3:27pm On Mar 26

This footage of JAS terrorists holding prayers in the Mandara Mountains highlights the very real and growing threat Nigeria faces from militant groups that are expanding in numbers. The Mandara Mountains and the Tumbuns of Lake Chad are the two critical strategic enclaves for Boko Haram and ISWAP.

The rugged terrain of the Mandara Mountains serves as a fortified sanctuary for the Boko Haram (JAS) faction. The mountain peaks reaches 1,300 meters, provide natural cover from ground attacks.

The NAF has conducted multiple airstrikes on fortified enclaves in Degbewa, Chinene, Wa Jahode, and Loghpere. These strikes specifically targeted hardened positions that had been serving as key hubs for bomb making activities.

The Tumbuns of Lake Chad is the primary operational base for ISWAP. The Navy needs to establish a permanent presence on Lake Chad to carry out amphibious sweeps across the islands and disrupt ISWAP’s supply and logistics network.

A political party in which everyone must stand and sing “on your mandate we shall stand”, and no one dares assert an individual character is a mere cult of personality, not a sustainable model for political organising.

The APC’s coming decline will perhaps be worse than the PDP’s because of their preoccupation with seducing critics and converting them to Tinubu’s lickspittles. It is those sorts of contradictions that will facilitate their imminent implosion because future opposition will build a reputation on resisting the allure of joining the APC cult.

Veteran journalist Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO) on TVC New’s Journalist Hangout has launched a scathing critique of Peter Obi’s political consistency, dismissing his recent visit to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as purely political despite Obi’s claim that it was not.

BKO said: “Peter Obi said his presence in Kano was not political, but to celebrate Salah… If you believe that, you’ll believe anything.” He recalled Obi’s earlier declaration: “Peter Obi said he will not leave APGA… He said he will never leave APGA. Is he still in APGA today? No, he’s not. So, when he says something, you take it with a pinch of salt.”

The journalist argued that Obi and Kwankwaso are likely to align on the same platform for 2027: “The two of them are likely to end up in the same party. Peter Obi said to his supporters last week that he wasn’t sure that he would get the ticket of ADC. So, he’s preparing their minds… for another movement. He’s preparing their minds, just in case he chooses to become the deputy to the presidential candidate.”

BKO noted the growing momentum: “Many people see ADC as belonging to Atiku… Some call it Atiku Democratic Congress, ADC. So, Peter Obi is not likely to win any primary. He doesn’t, and he cannot spend money the way others spend. So, primaries, not for him. But they’ve always wanted to bring in someone like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso because… any party that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso joins will become strengthened.”

He praised the opposition realignment while warning against defeatism: “I like the fact that the opposition is getting stronger in terms of some of the alliances that they are building… There will never be a one-party state in our country… Instead of speaking like a frustrated person, concentrate on yourself, building solid alliances.”

BKO concluded that the current moves signal serious opposition momentum ahead of 2027, urging critics to stop claiming Tinubu wants a one-party state and instead focus on building a credible challenge. The remarks have sparked intense debate online about Obi’s political consistency and the future of opposition politics in Nigeria.

".....It’s distressing that even otherwise clear-sighted people who recognize that the APC is a clear present danger to Nigeria, that Tinubu and his political team are core constituents of the conscienceless gang of villains that got us to where we are now are seduced by the rhetoric of inevitability of APC’s self-succession.

Let’s not allow APC to propagandize us into accepting that their internal politics is our national politics. We should instead be asking them to account for the incalculable injuries they’ve collectively inflicted on our economy, our freedoms, our national emotions, and for reversing whatever little progress we were making before they took over.."

No decent country on earth would reward the gang of incompetent know-nothings who presided over such an irrecoverable state of devastation and destruction of a country with continuity in governance."
