y'all should stop comparing China to Nigeria. They can keep devaluing their currency because they are a manufacturing country. they need investors to employ their large population and also to keep things running. we are still an import driven country, we can't afford to have a devalued naira. that's like spending more to import things. Restore the naira and things will work out.

Recently, out trade balance turned positive, that is we exported more than we imported. keep up with this and we may soon turn to a manufacturing country

Those waiting for new dollar in flow this coming Monday... tongue i have one question, so na so fg or CBN go dey pump dollar every week and for how long ?
Abeg wake up!!!
of coz they can keep pumping in more dollars. foreign reserve is growing. price of crude oil/barrel is increasing. so is the production of oil. That's enof revenue to keep tinz running in d country and reduce pressure on the naira. if they keep up with this, I c price of things dropping.

Also to those hoarding btc, it won't reach 1300$/btc any soon, seems it is falling. now at $1246/btc.

As I said b4, I would b watching d resulting effects of the pumping and possible cash in on it

the SunejGloball guy was on this thread early this morning.
scammers are changing tactics every now and then including coming on this thread at night looking for vulnerable traders. my advice to new dealers here is to at first read about 100 previous pages of the thread and learn through observation how things are done. Also, learn to use escrow.

The reason why I don't like buying from people using COINBASE is because their rate is always higher than other wallets rate and that can cause a problem between two parties.. The only solution is for both parties to use PREEV rate.. Another problem with this is that PREEV rate will favour the person buying the BeeTeeCee while the person selling will be short of 10$ per coin.. That's 100 whooping dollar per 10 coin...

The best solution for everybody on the long run is to be buying per coin instead of per dollar.. Since the Blockchain that join us together is now becoming useless
wat I do is to multiply the coins by the the rate on blockchain to get the true value.
P.s I now use coinbase.

Bro, download Bitpie then, it will alert you of incoming coins.
my fear with all this other wallets is security. how secured are they? That is why i chose coinbase.

I have a coinbase wallet, you don't need all those except you intend to buy and sell there, and from the last time I checked nigerians are not allowed to trade there, except wallet usage
i use it at times. the app started asking me for identification verification before i send btc out. so, i just decided to upload them to avoid the unnecessary pop up

mycelium, localbitcoin.com, paxful, please use their wallet only, don't trade there, mycelium is the best sha, it uses cold storage
would recommend coinbase as they don't use the blockchain ledger. they have their own ledger. just hold ur int. passport, national id and driving license at hand. They require them

Ayam not understanding o
I thought payment is meant to b made after the coin has entered buyers wallet

Y una pay without the coin entering ur wallet
Abi if u r using escrow let escrow hold d money till buyer has gotten his coin
once the transaction is registered on d blockchain ledger, d normal thing is that d coins will appear in ur wallet. blockchain can be foolish and delay d coins from reflecting. happened to me. d coins didnt appear till about 5 mins. and it was a trusted person I was dealing with. once again, it is blockchain wahala, not the sender. buh on the double spend ish...u will c d coins in ur wallet if u use blockchain as unconfirmed, after 10 mins, it would change to double spend. Blockchain can't help u resolve it as I wrote to them many times and got answers not relevant to the problem at hand.

Because of this Double-spend, i have stopped using Blockchain Wallet for now.
doesn't really matter. I was to receive the coins into luno. luno never alerted me of the incoming transaction. Asin, the coins no reach luno. one just have to b careful

this was exactly what caused the issue I had 2 weeks back, it's really bad
na serious issue oo. the transaction still shows double spend on my side with a warning not to transact with the seller on the blockchain page. they never told me the transaction was cancelled and reversed

Dear All,

Always request for screenshot of wallet of your prospective seller (if he's using blockchain) to ensure there is no unconfirmed coins in his wallet. A nairalander just lost about a million naira to coins reversal.

Trade wisely
hmm, lemme comment on this as it affected me too. A week or two ago, i transacted with a nairalander, bought $1000btc from him when the price was 505. Then the unknown happened, within an hour it changed from unconfirmed to double spend. I was like which one is double spend. I contacted d guy and he said that's wat he noticed too. I googled about double spend and found out it is when u try to spend the same coins twice, like sending d same $1000btc twice. Google also said one of the transaction would b confirmed and the other wouldn't. I died and came back. The nlder was nc enough to give me $500btc pending when d issue is resolved. my ppl, for about 4 days no change. on d fifth day I think, the coins was reversed back to the sender's sender. that is, d person dat sold the coins to my seller and thank God he was truthful enof to tell me about it and sent the remaining 500$btc. na so I take get my coin back ooo, buh by then, price had dropped to 490. sold it at a small loss. and in this case, the guy was not guilty of anything. the transaction he had with his seller shouldn't have been confirmed by blockchain. na on top my head dem come notice the mistake. na God go safe person for this cryto-business wey we dey.

And what happened the following day?
this two exchanges are the largest in china, imagine the volume of coins locked in there. Once they lift suspension on withdrawals, imagine the volume of coins that would enter the market, askers would exceed bidders and price would fall.
