Hacking isn't as easy as most people think. The truth is, most so-called hacking (which are just basic phishing attempts) occur because you give the attacker permission. For example using the same password for your bank app, Facebook account and that random site that needed you to create an account. The attacker does not need to hack your cloud/bank account. They just need to steal info from that random site and if you happen to use same details everywhere, they can gain access.

Also..not every app you must to download. Some apps come with clipboard hijackers. They simply send informations you copy to your clipboard to attackers. Lastly, which is the main phishing attempt...clicking on infected links, downloading that pirated movie or app, is one of the ways you give permission to be attacked.

Why should anyone take an action? It's all for your good. if you understand the basic principle of insurance, you will know that it is essentially a pool where people contribute their premiums to meet the needs of those who might make a claim (and also to form a reserve to meet later claims and the insurance company's profit). Now, there will be trouble if the amount contributed is no longer sufficient to pay claims as the cost of replacing parts or vehicles/ buildings has since skyrocket. A car worth N1.2m in the past is now going for N3m and above.

I hope you now understand why no one will raise any voice or do anything. I also hope you are not one of those ppl who would say anything without first researching about it.

Insurance companies in Nigeria are making great money with millions of unclaimed damages

so whose fault is it; the companies or the individuals who don't even read their policies? As for the increase in premium rate, the current inflation rate warrants it. Maybe the previous N5000 rate was the major issue why ppl do not make a claim. maybe they found it too cheap and wondering how 5k can cover 1m. maybe if they pay more, then they might be more willing to benefit from insurance.

All insurance companies have details on their website on how to make a claim. If in doubt, use an insurance broker.

You are correct, I apologize for that. However, if bring in goods,it must be within you duty-free limit (I.e it must be for your personal use or given as gift). However, you cannot sell it without paying duties.

However, I've seen them stop some guys who arrived Heathrow with lots of expensive wristwatches without declaring them.

What we should have talked about is how to raise the amount to a substantial amount. Most Nigerian laws on fees don't grow as inflation rate grows.

I agree with you. Ppl that are shouting haven't travelled abroad. Most European airports ask you to declare the cash equivalent of goods over a certain amount. Failure to do so means you are smuggling into the country. The lady who claimed she bought it from a duty free shop knew what she was doing. If she didn't buy from the duty free shop, she would have paid tax in her departure country.

This guy best explains the concept. Because the bullet travel faster than the sound of the gun, the bullet would have hit the target before a sound is made. The sound is harmless (well, unless you are the one shot at, then you need to worry). The bullet is what harms, same with lightning, the lightning is what harms, thunder only tells the story.

You are smart. Many Nigerians think thunder is lightning. Too bad. Lightning is the sparks, thunder is the sound. Thunder is a shockwave of the lighting disseminating from the point of lightning as a result rapid compression of air molecules surrounding the lighting.

Well, I can assume you aren't science inclined. You probably didn't do science in school. So let me educate you, lightning (which is the spark of light you see) is spark of electricity between the clouds, air and the ground. Lighting is what can kill. Thunder is the sound you hear following a lightning. You hear the sound later because, light travels faster than sound. Hence, you see the lightning before you hear the rumbling of the thunder. In essence, thunder is the sound the the lighting makes.
The time difference between the time you see a lightning and the time you hear the thunder tells you how close the lighting was to you and how much danger you were in. The shorter the time difference, the closer the lighting was to you.

The only way a thunder will kill you is by you having a heart attack because you are astraphobic (fear of lightning and thunder). The sound probably increased your blood pressure, or you OD'ed on your own adrenaline.
Fun fact, lightning doesn't have to be extremely close to you to kill or injure you, lighting can also travel through the ground especially in wet conditions.

Back to your case, a simple Google search would have saved you this lecture and would have helped hide your ignorance.

Static electricity can be generated by simply moving around on your seat or seat belt sliding across your chest. Your claim sir/ma is just not true. Thousands of experiments have been conducted worldwide to actually start a fire using phone signals. All turn out negative.

Also, cases of phones exploding while charging is usually caused by heat, using wrong charger or using defected batteries (like the note 8 I think).
