Press Release: Nawaooo.com introduces User Reviews & Facebook Integration

www.nawaooo.com, Nigeria’s largest business directory by database size, has announced that it has released a Reviews Section with Facebook Integration into its live environment. According to Mr. Ralph Styles, head of Public Relations of the company, this landmark release shows Nawaooo.com’s commitment to leveraging the internet to serve the day to day needs of Nigerians. The goal, Mr. Styles said, is to increase communication between consumers and companies, leading to more satisfied consumers and prouder companies.

What are User Reviews?
Reviews basically allow users and visitors to www.nawaooo.com to evaluate companies they have interacted with, and thereby share their experiences with other visitors of the site. The functionality is located on the Company Detail page of every company listed in the database.

In the past on Nawaooo.com and on any other business directory in Nigeria, a user would search for a company based on whatsoever criterion. They are then presented with search results from which they choose a company by clicking on the link to it. On the Company Detail page that follows, the user sees the description of the company and the contact details of the company.

But that was the past. Going forward, and only on Nawaooo.com, the user will also see Reviews posted by the general public on the company detail page. The user will also be able to post a review of the company, good or not so good. The hope and belief, is that ‘the collective wisdom of crowds’ will enable searchers make better judgment about which companies to engage with. This functionality is unprecedented on the Nigerian internet space in its ability to empower both the user and the company, and will lead ultimately to a better general business environment and consumer experience in Nigeria.

Benefits of User Reviews

Companies are now going to be able to differentiate themselves based on good products, and good customer service. Managers will also be able to hear directly from their customers about their experiences with the company, enabling Managers make better informed choices on how to best serve their customers. For users, it is the ability to engage directly with the leadership of companies, thereby bypassing gatekeepers in case they are acting in disaccord with the values of the company in question. It is also the ability to encourage the management to continue with policies that are working. Finally, it is the ability to build a database of reviews that will enable all other users make more targeted and better informed decisions. All this, at a mouse click!

Facebook Integration
Facebook integration Mr. Ralph Styles said, introduces not only a social component to the site, but more importantly, ensures that reviewers can also be policed so that they are more responsible when reviewing. Anyone visiting the site has the ability to track reviews by any particular user, enabling other users to view the review history of reviewers thereby aiding in their decision making as regards the objectivity of individual reviewers.
