RomanceRe: In A Steady Relationship, When Can You Drop The Condom? by ramono(m): 8:05pm On Mar 19, 2006
Does this depict the fact that Nigerians are really adhering to the rules of sex education or is evryone just trying to be politically correct? I ask cos I know (well I dont sleep in their bedrooms, but i know) that many Nigerian unmarried couples of ages 23-35 drop the condon over a steady period of 3-9 months. I did a random sample of about 12 friends and colleagues, out of which 8 fell into this category. I work in Lagos, Nigeria.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Yes!! The Navy Dssc Form is On Sale Now! by ramono(m): 7:37pm On Mar 19, 2006
The DSSC means Direct Short Service Commission. The programme seeks to grant DSSC to professionals (graduates in medicine, engineering, architecture, dentistry, physical education and other programmes). These candidates go through a selection process, afetr which the successful candidates spend 6 months at the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna and thereafter 3 months at the Nigerian Naval College ONNE Port Harcourt before being deployed to mainstream Navy operations. It is open to both male and female applicants who are required to subimt the duly completed form with the endorsement of their local government, or serving military officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, Commander in the Navy or Wing Commander in the Air Force.

Welcome on board!!!!!!!!!
CrimeRe: Why Are So Many Nigerians Fraudulent? by ramono(m): 7:35pm On Mar 04, 2006
It pains me to hear that poverty is a reason for fraud. This is because having visited both Sudan and Ethiopia, I can authoritatively say what we call poverty in Nigeria (which I have seen too) is actually luxury to others in these countries.

Fraud is derived from a mindset. A fraudulent mind will always resort to fraud. I have received and read so many 419 letters and I just laugh, cos if the time and resources spent concocting those stories was directed to some more ethical venture, it would have yielded a reasonable amount of money.

Its up to all of us on fora like this to stand up to fruad and redeem Nigeria's image. smiley smiley smiley

Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: My Friend Is In Love With Paddy Adenuga by ramono(m): 1:27pm On Mar 03, 2006
My opinion- This is a case of a typical naija girl. Remove Paddy from that picture and place him in Ojuelegba bus stop shouting 'Palmgrove', let's see if she'll be in love with him then!!!
