This is utter bullshiiit. Why in the world will the writers make Stannis kill Shireen his heir? Stannis who apparently ate glue from book bindings rather than surrender Dragonstone until Davos came with his onions. Stannis the unbeliever. Stannis! What bloody manner of character development is this? It makes zero sense. Seriously, what's a few weeks in winter to Stannis a man of war that he should surrender his child to that witch of a woman?

Methinks the director of this show is cray cray and I hate the emerging pattern. Something bad-- with a nasty shock value has to happen that ends up with a woman suffering. Nah, I don't like that.
They needn't have bothered with all the scenes involving Stannis affirming his love for Shireen only to come kill her for nothing!
Unless emotionally manipulating the audience is the new IT.

That said, I liked watching the emotion on Dany's face. It shifted from horror to admiration to love to disgust, amusement, shock, fear, resignation, relief, joy, anxiety, courage and yeah my favourite ain't even got an adjective yet The girl can act!
But I don't believe we can call this taming Drogon yet. That dragon is way unruly to be tamed by one ride


I feared the night'swatch wouldn't let Jon Snow inside. But I hope he watches his back and keeps Ghost close. The brothers are not smiling.

I agree with your last sentence but I have to break the news to you....
Dany is so dumb it's funny. She has 8000 Unsullied, 2000 second sons and several thousand freedmen from Yunkai and Mereen who took up arms, plus the city guard of Mereen. That's between 15 and 20 000 men at arms.

Mereen has 500 000 inhabitants, most of which are former slaves, blindly loyal to her.

Since everyone who is anyone in Mereen was at the stadium, I think she could have spared some 2000 men out of 20 000 to keep the peace. I don't see her making a good queen.

Aaaand 10 sons of the harpy with spears almost killed Danys strongest dragon. The unsullied are a scattered bunch of stiff , spear wielding morons. Danys dumb dragon ran out of fire and couldnt handle a handful of unarmored barely trained mask wearing dandys.

There was no Melisandre to pull his strings at Storms End during the siege.

Why did he burn his only daughter at the stake? Melisandre told him to that's why. If it IS true that Stannis wants to save the world, MELISANDRE is the TRUE mastermind and the one everyone needs to thank when the dust settles, not Stannis the puppet. Puppets are the worst types of villains, because they have no principles and will do the bidding of whoever is pulling their strings.

Of all the Starks she is the least heroic. Between her deals with LF and the Boltons, don't be surprised if she lives long enough to see herself become a villain.

The latest episode of Game of Thrones, The Gift, saw the passing of Maester Aemon.
Aemon was a very rare thing in Westeros for a couple of reasons: 1) he did not want the Iron Throne, 2) he died of natural causes. He was also, as the show had revealed, a Targaryen. With his death, that leaves Daenerys as the sole remaining member of the former royal family left in the world.
At least it seems to, anyway. In the books, there is a character who claims to be a Targaryen, although it seems he won’t be making it to the screen, and is commonly thought to be a fraud (the believed-likely scenario is that he is a Blackfyre, a cadet house founded by the bastard son of Aegon IV).
Then there is the ever-popular theory R+L=J, which posits that Jon Snow is not actually Ned Stark’s bastard, and is indeed the child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark.
Aside from Aemon’s death, The Gift also finally brought us to the meeting of Daenerys and Tyrion Lannister. It’s doubtless going to have huge implications for the series, but could there also be something more to it?
Like the Jon Snow theory, there is belief that Tyrion himself is a Targaryen, meaning meeting Daenerys in the latest episode would be something of a family reunion, even if neither of them really knew it.
There is supporting evidence from the books that lends itself to this theory, so here’s a look at what’s known and speculated about the true identity of everyone’s favourite dwarf.

Jon Snow survived to tell the tale! I was almost certain he would die in that episode. Wow. Hats off to the writers.
Next Episode: Ramsay "the flayer" Bolton takes twenty men out of his fathers best fighters. They waltz into Stannis camp. Burn it down. Terrorize and nearly kill Stannis and ride back to Winterhell.



But that's just my prediction.....

You can't flay a flayer. Westeros is a hard place and Ramsay is doing all he can to meet his fathers expectations.
Ramsay isn't going to die, Im willing to bet on that. Imagine how boring the North will be without him.

Sansa's virginity wasn't going to take itself! This is quite similar to Dany and Drogo in the beginning when Dany hated Khal Drogo. Later I believe she called him the light of her life or something equally "sappy". Lady Sansa Bolton needs to relax and be a good wife to her husband. Ramsay isn't that bad once you get to know him...

Every action Ramsay has taken was because of the cards he was dealt. If he had shown any sign of weakness from birth til adulthood, his father Roose Bolton (aka Lord of the DreadFort) would probably have had him disowned or worse. So again i say dont hate the Flayer bro hate the game.

An observation: Every time a Stark chops off someone's head as a punitive measure, he (the Stark) ends up being violently killed a few episodes later. Following this rule I can only speculate that, Jon Snow will soon meet his untimely demise.
