A lot of sacrifice must go into this. I believe people should tell themselves a reality of postponing comfort for a 5-10 year period. Starting early is also key. I remember I once advised my sister in law that to make her relationship worthwhile, she and fiancee should commit to house project - either build or buy.

In 2007, I gave my wife 900k to cover a summer trip. She suggested we shelve summer that year so that we can invest in a business she's had her mind on for a while. I bought the idea (making ICE BLOCKS in large quantity) and we started. We built a mini-factory from scratch. Summer was shelved for 6years. It was a rewarding experience for us....but one thing that was key, the experience I got building the factory was key both as impetus and little experience in building the one we live in today.........I will forever be grateful for the kind of wife I married. She like her grandmother believed in the concept of "tying things down" (building projects)

I am currently thinking of starting a complex next year (4 floors minimum), consisting of supermarket, restaurant and office spaces. I simply tell myself that after acquiring the land, I just need to throw a minimum of 5 million Naira at it every year and will wrap it up when I exit paid employment.
Thats still what we are saying. The perspective with which you're talking from is based on how financially capable you are. You cant buy a land with N100 anywhere. Financial capability is key.
NYSC / Re: Having Problems At My Place Of PPA Please I Need Advice by randomspy(f): 3:58pm On Apr 19, 2016
OLUWOLEYINKA:
Guy I nearly suffer same fate as yours when I served with a civil engineering consulting firm in kaduna. By the time I finish with the CEO he fear me pass His God. Do anything that pleases you. Spend ur normal 8hours at work by 4pm carry your load leave the place. NOTE. Don't report them to NYSC let them go there to report you first. When they summon you tell them everything you aint pleased with going on in the firm. If nothing is done report to state cordinator n if nothing is done tweet DG. M sure my CEO remember me today.
Exactly , the guy is talking like a slave who's legs are tied , Its youth service ,you do whatever you like, nobody can kill you or arrest you , you're only answerable to your local government. Oh I so enjoyed my service year to the fullest , although I served in state secretariat dunno about secondary school folks.

But something isnt right here , the guy should please tell us how much he's being paid cos I'm sure no company will set such strict rules without paying a price, and he should also tell us if he influenced his service posting to the firm(something I'm sure of) or nysc posted him there, cos there's no smoke without fire.

And why are people complaining of 8-6 work hours ? I bet majority of you are unemployed. Its a private company and i'm sure folks who've worked in lagos private firms aint new to such systems, you either agree to terms or take your leave and do a reposting to another ppa.

Reminds me of this TV show: For Better or Worse. The woman in that show burnt her husband's sports car and all his clothes for something he didn't do. But in the end, they still reconciled. Love conquers all you see. smiley

Go learn how to construct a good job description.

1. How will someone know Jquery and not know JavaScript too?
2. Why is 2 years drupal experience needed for such an advanced role?
3. Why does this look like the job of 5-10 people in one?
4. What is the business of a web designer with bash programming?
5. You are looking for a ui/ux designer, web designer, bash programmer, and a database engineer/programmer
6. It seems 2years drupal experience is more important than 2years programming experience.
I pray you find an efficient messiah.
I pray o.
Your're right bro,
but the major point is they know little to nothing about the what really constitute the best person for the job. maybe the mofo just went online and started gathering random qualifications , and specs just to put them together and think he will make perfect sense. smh

Programming / Re: Women Are Better Coders Than Men. by randomspy(f): 2:37pm On Feb 18, 2016
femrd:
New research shows that code written by
female computer programmers is more likely to
be approved by their peers than code written
by men—but only if their gender is concealed.
After analyzing data from the popular open
source software website GitHub, researchers
concluded that women on the site "may be
more competent overall." According to The
Guardian, "the researchers looked at
approximately 3m pull requests submitted on
GitHub, and found that code written by women
was approved at a higher rate (78.6 percent)
than code written by men (74.6 percent)."
However, they noted, "bias against [female
coders] exists nonetheless." According to their
findings, code written by women is viewed
more favorably when the coder's gender is
kept secret.
https://broadly.vice.com/en_us/article/women-are-better-at-coding-than-men
how many female coders do we have that even popular enough that we can read their codes ? any github page or something ? all this feminist inspired articles with their stupid bias. I will never believe this BS!
